Her love could set me free from the shadows… Seeing CoCo Becket for the first time, made my heart start beating again. It changed everything. Before her I had no purpose, no reason to live. She was the most beautiful woman I had ever met, I couldn’t help but fantasize about kissing her plump lips or having those sky blue eyes staring back at mine, seeing beyond what I truly was. Broken and … what I truly was. Broken and ashamed.
My desire for her ran deep, deeper than I expected it too. She was a Goddess and I was simply caught up in her glow, I couldn’t say no. Not to her kindness, and not to my need to be near her.
CoCo was the good in life where I was the bad. She became the sun to my never ending darkness.
When a mysterious situation brings us together, I discover that I’ll do anything to keep her safe. Even if it means risking my own life, to save hers.
Because before her, love was just a word I’d heard in passing…and now I’ll destroy anyone that tries to take her, or that love away from me.

Ele foca no agora.

First of all, english is not my mother language. Second of all, I searched but couldn’t find the correct term to use when referring to the people that live in the street. So I’ll just say people living in the street.
This is the second book I read with a character that lives in the street. It escapes the commonplace, the usual and not so original stuff we usually read. It’s inclusive and kind. So I 100% approve.
Secret Admirer lacks some explanation to what exactly happened in the characters past. It focus on the now. And although it doesn’t make the book seems incomplete, I would have liked to know a little bit about their past.
It’s insta love, which I doesn’t prefer, but Harlow Layne is super talented and I always enjoy her insta love stories.

Harlow Layne has an amazing talent for writing, she pulls you into the story to the point where you feel like you are there in the midst of it all, and you get lost.
Bodhi and Coco are complex characters who are perfect for each other. Bodhi’s insecurities make him more real, and watching him come out of his shell makes him more attractive at every turn. They come together at the perfect time for each other and it’s beautiful to watch their love bloom.
This was a sweet story with a little suspense, some steam and a whole lot of love. I’m glad I got to read this one, you will be too! Don’t miss it!
No joke!!! This is my all time FAVORITE by Harlow Layne! Probably even my all time FAVORITE book ever! I am now completely obsessed with Bodhi and Coco!!! I was a goner from the very beginning and even though I have completed the book I am still wanting more of this amazing couple!
Rating: 5 out of 5.

Secret Admirer was my first ever book by Harlow Layne. The minute I read the blurb I was instantly hooked and knew the story would not disappoint. Sweet shy heroes are my absolute kryptonite so I was happy to stumble upon this story. If you’re in the mood for a sweet read with a dash of suspense then this is the book for you. Bodhi is homeless and new to town when he comes across the crying Coco in a shop window. From that moment on he makes it his sole purpose to make this woman smile again. I completely fell in love with Bodhi’s gentle and broken soul and loved how kind Coco was towards him and non-judgemental about his situation even before she got to know him. What a beautiful read with amazing characters. I look forward to reading more from Harlow Layne.
Two people from totally different worlds collide to fall in love. This is such a feel good romance. A second chance on love and life for Bodhi. Coco is a hair dresser with a kind heart. Bodhi is homeless with an admiration for Coco. When Coco needs help, Bodhi is right there. At times, I thought he could be her stalker, but then at other times, I just wanted the best for him. I love the slow build of their romance. It gives depth to the story and just really helped me enjoy their journey. I could not put this book down. I could not wait to find out what happened next.
Lia Holland really connected with the characters. Lia brought out all the emotions, suspense and chemistry as it was written. I was easily lost in her narration and felt as if the story was a movie in my mind. Lia really brought out Coco. I felt as if i connected with Coco, through the narration. Lia was able to keep the characters distinct. Her male voice was smooth and not forced. I cannot wait to hear more from Lia Holland.
I was gifted this arc for my honest review and let me just tell you that I absolutely loved this book. I absolutely fell in love with Bodhi and Coco . I couldn’t get over the twist and turns in this book and was caught off guard. Blown away by Secret Admirer.
This is so emotional! Bodhi is everyones dream! Coco treats him as an individual as he is homeless and down on his luck
It all starts with a flower! He is her secret admirer, friend, protector, lover. She is his Goddess, friend, lover. She believes in him.
Coco gives him the trust, confidence and love he desrves. She builds him up, not tears him down. Homelessness is just an unfortunate state. and she doesnt look down on him for it!
Lia holland tells this beautiful story with so much emotion!

Secret Admirer
By: Harlow Layne
Narrated by: Lia Holland
I loved this book, it is well written with interesting storylines, it grabbed my attention right from the start and held it straight to the end. The characters are realistic and easy to relate to. I adored both leads, they were amazing with great dispositions. Coco works in the town’s hair salon, when Bodhi first sees her she has tears in her eyes. Bodhi was drawn to her and he wanted to make those tears go away. Bodhi was down on his luck but he was not bitter about it, it made him insecure and have self worth issues but he never lost his kindness and goodheartedness. CoCo also had a great heart and she wanted to help him but she knew he would not accept help willingly. Bodhi becomes her secret admirer and when she finds herself in trouble he comes to her rescue. I loved how everything plays out in this book, there is never a dull moment with plenty of drama, a bit of angst, mystery, twists and turns, some thrilling suspense, heartfelt moments and a loving romance. Harlow Layne, thank you for another fantastic story and the emotional rollercoaster ride.
I listened to the Audible edition, Lia Holland is a talented narrator and voice artist. She brings the characters to life giving each their own voice and personality as well as heart and attitude. She does a great job portraying the characters and projecting their emotions into her performance. She is an entertaining storyteller and a pleasure to listen to. Thank you for another great listen

I listened to the Audible version. This is the first book I’ve listened to by Harlow Layne. I was impressed with the unique choice of characters, though Bohdi’s thoughts at times seemed odd and instantly possessive to the point of creepy. It also seems like there could have been more to the story between the last chapter and the epilogue, as I think working through those parts of the relationship could also have been interesting.

This was a really cute story. I loved both Coco and Bodhi. They never judged the other and their banter was just so much fun. While I really liked the story I rly like something was missing. I don’t feel like I got enough info on Bodhi’s past and how he came to be in the town. Maybe I missed something. I’m not sure but it had me questioning by the time o got to the end. A little predictable for me but still an overall enjoyable read. 4 stars #2OCCJD
I recieved a free copy in exchange for an honest review.

Secret Admirer
By: Harlow Layne
Narrated by: Lia Holland
The perfect blend of romance and suspense, Secret Admirer held me captive. Harlow Layne weaves a romance between hair stylist Coco Becket and homeless man, Bodhi Rivers. Bodhi first sees Coco crying through a window at her job, and is entranced by her. There is something that draws him to her. Knowing his situation, he feels unworthy, so secretly admires her from afar. Until one day, there is a problem, and luckily he is there to help her. From there, we have a budding romance. And it’s sweet, and hot and you just fall for these two. But it’s certainly is never that easy! There are obstacles they have to overcome, but more importantly, a situation which will test the love and loyalty Bodhi has for Coco. It’s suspenseful, thrilling and kept me on the edge waiting for that shoe to drop….such a good story, I had to plug in and finish to see how it all ended! Definitely the sign of a good book to me.
Lia Holland enhances this story with an amazing narration. I found her performance to be intriguing and spot on for every character. Her ability to tune into her characters, from the self-confident Bodhi to the motherly Trixie, to the assured Coco was seamless. I loved her portrayal of the story.

This is my first read by this author and I’m so glad I gave her a chance and read Bodhi and Coco’s story. The author’s writing and knack for detail in this book was extraordinary. Secret Admirer will have you felling all the feels. It’s action-packed and full of surprises, romance, friendship and true love. A must read romance!
Cute story of protection and love. The way Bodhi protects Coco is so endearing.
Bodhi is not your average hero. He’s kind and sweet, shy most of the time. I fell in love with him at the beginning and loved him through to the end of the bonus story. It’s not often that you read about a man as good as him. Coco has a good heart as well. These two were made for each other. She brings him out of his shell a little bit at a time. We see his protectiveness and manliness come out a couple of times and it was such a treat. I loved reading this book so much.
Such a great book absolutely loved it couldn’t put it down
RATING 4.5 STARS
Secret Admirer is a stand alone romance by Harlow Layne. This is only my second book by Harlow. This book was the perfect mix of insta-love, sweetness, sexy times and suspense.
Bodhi Rivers has pretty much hit rock bottom. Naturally shy and awkward in his younger years, Bodhi has always been made to feel like he was less. As an adult, Bodhi came upon hard times and hasn’t found a way to pull himself back up. I believe he’s pretty much given up. He thought he would try a new town with a warmer climate, a smaller town. Which is what put him on the street he was on, on that particular morning, laying his eyes for the first time on the most beautiful woman he’d ever seen. And she was crying. All he could think about was finding a way to make her smile again. Suddenly her happiness was more important to him than his next breath.
Coco Beckett works at a hair salon. She has just lost her parents and is trying to deal with her grief. She first saw Bodhi outside her shop and was immediately drawn to him. He had long messy hair that it seemed to her he tried to hide behind. But somehow, Coco saw beneath what might have turned others away and could see the sweet man underneath. She wanted to make this man smile, find out more about him.
“Show me who you are, Bodhi, and that’s who I’ll believe you are.”
When a series of events begins happening to Coco that puts her in danger, it’s Bodhi that saves her. And it’s only Bodhi that makes Coco feel safe. As the authorities try to figure out what’s going on, Bodhi and Coco’s feelings for each other grow and strengthen. Just maybe, Bodhi begins to feel hope, that he could someday be the kind of man Coco deserves, the kind of man he wants to be.
“How is it that this amazing and beautiful woman doesn’t see me how everyone my entire life has?”
This was just so good. I didn’t want to stop reading it. I loved the suspense element to it. I couldn’t help but to fall so in love with Bodhi. I loved seeing his confidence grow. The epilogue was perfect. If you want a sweet, sexy hero that just needed the right town, the right people, to set himself back on the right path, and a woman that gives him the strength to do it, then this book is for you.
“My Goddess
My Heaven
My savior
Coco.”
I was drawn since the first moment I read the blurb, but I didn’t expect to be hooked since the beginning. There was something captivating that motivated to continue reading and devour the book in just a couple of days.
Bodhi was such an intriguing and yet fascinating character. I wanted to understand him better, to find out whi he was, and at the end, I was very pleased with how things turned out for him. Coco was another surprise; a character without prejudices and with an open mind to see beyond everything else. They were such a great couple!
The ending was soooo good and that epilogue extra was perfection
I really liked this book. It was written well and I loved the characters. Their chemistry was so good and I really enjoyed reading their journey.
