Clean, Christian slice-of-life women’s fiction with romance. Darcy’s escaping a glitzy life in Los Angeles to run her grandma’s shop in the sleepy town of Wimber, Texas. But every small town has secrets, and Darcy’s about to discover a few she’d forgotten. Like the boy she left behind, with her first kiss still on his lips. Owning a business isn’t as easy as it seems. But a group of friendly … friendly women who meet to talk shop might offer the keys Darcy needs to succeed.
Darcy is determined to push forward, despite the obstacles that cross her path. And maybe love is still waiting on the other side of the shop’s battered old door.
If you love small-town sweet romance, you will love the Miss Main Street series!

I enjoyed how things were found in this story and the joy of discovering old things which still have value in today’s throw away society
A sweet little story.
Didn’t like the narrator’s voice
This is a feel good quick read with a touch of mystery and romance. It celebrates small towns. Although it isn’t “deep “, it is still fun with easy to define good vs bad characters.
A great story about every small town, USA.
I hate the ending. It feels like the last chapter is missing – so weird. The book itself was pretty good until the ending.
A woman’s grandmother owns an antique store and leaves it to her granddaughter. Along with all the old houses secrets.
The first of a series, the contemporary small town characters in this book are charming, making it a fun read. Happily reading book 2 now, I am enjoying revisiting that same sweet, quirky, quaint, frustrating cast of characters. Book 3 is waiting it’s turn to reveal even more! Lighthearted and entertaining, yet grounded in good moral values.
loved it
Fun to read.
This was a wonderful book. I enjoyed it very much and would recommend this book to everyone. Very inspirational and a nice clean book.
Secondhand Secrets by Angela C. Castillo
My rating: 4 of 5 stars
I have never read an Angela Castillo book before and was pleasantly surprised. So many of these books that have the young woman moving away from the big city to the small town of her family are cookie-cutter. This book was not. The heroine was believable and fresh as was her hero. The small town of Wimber, TX also developed as a distinct “personality” and the many other shop owners were varied and quirky but again believable. I enjoyed the “villainess”, the nosey Vera and the plot of the hidden “treasure.” So I recommend this book to those who enjoy a sweet romance with an interesting mystery.
This is my first book of Angela Castillo’s and I really enjoyed it. I loved Darcy and Ramsey as a couple. I enjoyed the mystery aspect of the story and was surprised at what the secret room contained. I’m looking forward to reading the other two books in this series.
Wonderful
This was an amazing story about a young woman coming back to run her grandmother’s antique store that she had been left. She use to spend every summer there. But she felt herself feel normal again and between the women of the town, her grandma, God and her friend from childhood. Things are looking up.
