This book was absolutely brilliant! I’m on to the next with no hesitation. The passion and darkness I can’t escape. Pepper you have left me speechless.
” . . ‘ , ‘ .”
: adult dark romance, forbidden and steamy
This book broke me in thousand pieces. It was so intense and consuming that once I started it, I couldn’t stop reading it. It was dark and heartwrenching, yet written in such a beautiful way that I’m really speechless.
Pepper knows how to write stories with the right amount of details making you witness what’s going on in the story. I literally felt each emotion the characters felt thru me and hence why I laughed, cried or suffered with them.
The second debt was one of the most difficult scenes I have ever read. All I’m saying is that Nila is the strongest heroine ever and you cannot change my mind. As for Jethro, he stole my heart thru his POVs. He is a complex character who is pressured by his awful family and I know he has a complicated past, which I cannot wait to find out soon.
Nila and Jethro’s passion and love for each other is the purest thing ever. My heart aches for them and their fate. My babies deserve everything good in this world
Anyway, I’m scared to continue thru the rest of debts, but here we go!!!
Wow… I did not see that coming. These debts keep getting more intense. The endings of each book makes me instantly grab the next to find out what happens. I love Jethro. And his sister is awesome!. Can’t wait to read more!
OMG, OMG, OMG….
This story is getting better in each book. I always loved Jethro since “Indebted” his dark soul conquered my heart. The way he tries so much to be heartless but he can’t fake it.
Nila is showing in each debt she is the strong woman she always was and never knew she was.
I’m loving each story of this series and I can’t wait to start “Third Debt”.
Pepper Winters is an amazing author in Dark Romance. I always thought “Goddess Isles” was a fantastic series but “Indebted” is an incredible story and I hope “Monsters in the Dark” and “Dollar” would be the same.
Dark romance readers if you love books with adrenaline you need to read her books they are amazing.
This was one of my favorite series. The storyline was exciting and sexy. The chemistry between everyone involved was chilling.
Second Debt
Indebted, Book 3
By: Pepper Winters
Narrated by: Kylie C. Stewart, Will M. Watt
Each book keeps getting better. The mystery is strong, the story is dark and I can’t get enough. Jethro and Nila are closer than ever. Their bond continues to grow but there are still secrets. As he gets closer to his 30th birthday, he knows the debts the Weaver girl has to pay must be collected, but it just gets harder and harder to enforce. We can feel his pain, as his tortured soul makes decisions. But as he continues, will his heart survive? Will Nila still want him? Will he be able to get the best of all worlds? The ending to this one is puzzling, and I can’t wait to see how the story continues as the clock is ticking.
Will Watt and Kylie Stewart are Jethro and Nila. Their narration is beyond compare with it’s tortured emotions. It is vividly real, and just keep me going back for more.

OMG this book was amazing!! It was so fucked up and twisted. It had me at the edge of my seat! The secrets are killing me! I need to know what they are! What is wrong with Jethro?!?! It’s driving me crazy! Pepper Winters is a true genius!
Jethro’s and Nilas story is getting more complicated as their feelings are beginning to surface after so many twists and turns.. we don’t really know where the story is heading as so many things are changing between these two but we’re finally seeing some development in their story..
everything is getting more complicated, Jetros family only is seeking revenge not caring about Jetrhos life and feelings.. his father and brother are monsters ready to destroy anything that belongs to Nilas family.. now is time for Jetros to finally break this madness or stay forever in it.
cant wait to see what else is coming..
I am emotionally drained. Just when I thought it couldn’t get better, it can’t get worse. It does get better and it did get worse. I’m loving it! And I can’t wait to know how this will all end for the Hawks and the Weavers
So twisted and yet so well done.
I’ll read anything and everything by pepper winters
I am so engrossed in this series that I cannot turn the pages quick enough. I love Peppers writing and her ability to weave a story full of lies, secrets, deceit and power is second to none!
She creates complex, strong and colourful characters, each different and each having their own place within the story. There are characters you just hate and are desperate for them to get their comeuppance. The dark and torturous events that Nila is subjected to just leaves you wanting more. The story is unfolding but in true Pepper style she is master at hooking you straight away and slowly reeks you in.
Each book so far has ended with a massive cliff hanger. On to book 4…
“I’D TAKEN HER, but ultimately, she’d taken me. I’d tried to destroy her, but serendipitously, she’d destroyed me. This was the beginning of the end. Not the end of my feelings for her but the way of my life, my world. Something would have to change. Something would have to give… … Someone would have to die.”
Where to start…. How about holy fucking awesome ass story batman!! LOL As I dive deeper into the world of Hawks and Weavers, it’s like quick sand. I literally can. Not. Stop. Just how deep is this hole? Every chapter reveals new twists and turns and brings you closer to the never ending question of what will become of Jethro and Nila. How will the Final Debt payment pan out? Will Nila survive? Will Jethro?
“This isn’t a game—not anymore. The debts bind us together as long as we’re alive. You’re mine and I told you before not to throw away that gift before knowing what it means.”
During the First Debt we learned that each debt to be repaid would be worse than the last. I had no idea what was in store for the second debt. But what we were told was true, it was worse and so much more psychologically brutal. I think a lot of that is because we are starting to develop intimate relationships with each of the characters in the book. Pepper has done such a phenomenal job with developing her characters in this story. I love them, I hate them, and at times I want to fucking kill them! So much emotion it’s almost overwhelming at times.
“I suggest you focus on reality and stop looking for magic in a world that only wants to destroy you.”
Learning more also means uncovering more mysteries that need answers. It’s never ending, and It might frustrate some readers, but I love it, especially knowing that there are a couple of books left to go in the series. I love stories that are deep and envelop you when you read them. This series literally makes me feel like I am traveling to a different world. There is so much that I wish I could say, but it’s so hard because one small slip could become a spoiler.
“Fear what we spoke about. Fear how much of his nature came to light. Fear just how much you knew, because ultimately, it’s not him who has the power to destroy you—but you who has the power to destroy him.”
Jethro… he has developed so much since we first met him. I was almost positive that if Nila hadn’t killed him within the first 2 books I would have… but there is something so damn sexy and alluring about him that I’m starting to understand why Nila hasn’t killed him yet LOL. And Nila… holy shit she is a force to be reckoned with. If you are looking for a story with a strong female character, this is it. This is not a “Stockholm syndrome” story, that’s for sure. There is hate, frustration, madness, lust, betrayal, and passion.
“You don’t know the meaning of intense. I’ll show you intense. I’ll show you what it’s like to live in a world full of fucking intensity.”
And finally!! We get to learn more about Jethro’s confidant and sister Jasmine and younger brother Kes. I wasn’t sure what to make of him in the beginning, but like most of the Hawks, he’s starting to grow on me too. Okay…. Just to warn you, the end of this book…. OMG … SO INTENSE!! I actually had to finish reading the series before I wrote my reviews because I didn’t want to wait to see what was going to happen next LOL. How is that for intense??
“You’re inside me, Nila Weaver—as surely as I’m inside you.”
