Sometimes love makes plans for you while you’re busy making plans of your own…
Finding myself over thirty and divorced, living in the same small town where I grew up, was not exactly the fast track to personal success. So I took action.
I landed a job with a bigger practice in a big city where I’d find more opportunities at work, and hopefully in my social life. I was ready to move on.
… work, and hopefully in my social life. I was ready to move on.
But when Cormac Whitewood and his adorable daughters came into my life, suddenly my big plans didn’t seem so shiny and exciting. Suddenly, I was finding myself drawn to the lonely widower, wishing for more time with him.
The thing is, Cormac made it clear he wasn’t over his late wife—and I’d never force my way into someone else’s family. Besides, I’d already made my plans.
So why do they feel so wrong?
Second Chance Spring is a full-length novel with an HEA about second chances, spring, and taxidermy. Okay, not really. It’s about the plans life makes for us while we’re busy making plans for ourselves, and it’s full of snort laughs, touching moments, cake, and maybe a kangaroo or two.

Cormac’s book is here and I’m so into it I’ve got hearts in my eyes, he’s a widower and father of two little girls. Paige is a divorcee whose life feels stagnant as a small-town doctor.
The story has humor, second chance love, angst, and a HEA.
I was given a free copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.
This book had me at single dad. That’s what drew me to this book, but all the charterers had me hooked. I love this book had humor, but it also delivered on the heart and feels. There is a lot of emotion in this book. My heart breaks for the Whitewood family especially the two little girls. You can easily see how much Cormac loves his daughters, but you can see he is a little lonely. Paige feels she has to move on the find more to fulfill her life, but maybe she just has to look across the street. The banter between the characters is one of my favorite parts of the book. You can’t help, but root for them right from the beginning. I loved the small town setting. That’s a big draw for me as well.
A widowed man with 2 little girls is so lost in his grief that he doesn’t realize the one thing that will help him start living again lives right across the street. A chance meeting at an animal shelter starts the whole chain of events that leads him to finding new love! This is a heartwarming and fun story with a bunch of cameos from the love able characters that call Singletree home! A great continuation of the series and well worth the read!!
Cormac is a widower with two young girls trying to make it through each day. Paige is his neighbor, a doctor who loves her family and small town but feels like something is missing from her life, causing her to consider a move to a bigger city. When his rash decision to get a dog for his girls, despite the fact that he is allergic, brings them together, Cormac feels something for the first time in year and Paige thinks maybe what she is looking for has been in her small town all along.
I love that this book features the type of people that you might know yourself – living their lives, working at normal jobs and trying to find happiness where they can. They are both kind people who only want the best for each other.
I have read the other books in this series, but I do not think you would have to to enjoy this book. It just gives you more background on the town and Cormac’s brother.
I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book for an honest review.
This is the 4th book in this awesome series and is Cormac and Paige’s story. Cormac is a widower with 2 daughters and his new neighbour is Paige who is a family doctor. These two are drawn to each other, but the timing is off, as Cormac is not ready to move on. No spoilers: this is a definite must read you will not be disappointed. This is a well written story which is sweet, heart-breaking, humorous, entertaining, and a heartfelt 2nd chance romance which is an all-consuming and addictive page turner. I highly recommend for all readers.
This is the first book that ive read by this author and I must say it was absolutely fantastic, I really enjoyed reading it, I do love the second chance romance books.
This book is as the title suggests a real second chance romance, this book will pull on your heart strings and leave you desperately reading more.

This book will really play with your emotions and have your heart up and down on a roller coaster.
I was really rooting for these characters especially Cormac to have a happily ever after and Paige is here for them.
This author has written this story so beautifully and I was wishing for their second chance. I was hooked on the story and loved how and where it was set.
I will definitely recommend this book to everyone when it gets released.

“There’s something to be said for timing. But there’s also nothing gained through regret.” -Cormac (Second Chance Spring by Delancey Stewart.
Great story to transport you and takes your mind off everything. Both Cormac and Paige have had life events; things happened and everything changes. Cormac, as a widower, has been left to care for his two young daughters and he is still grappling with his new normal. Paige is the town doctor who is considering moving to the city; feeling lost and regretful of the choices she has made, she is seeking a new life.
But, fate takes a hand, and we’re treated with a great story for these two. Absolutely love and enjoyed this story.
Paige is a small town doctor stuck in a rut and wants to make some changes in her life like maybe moving to the big city but then she meets Cormac and his two sweet daughters and she is attracted to the whole package. Cormac is not sure that he wants to give love another try because losing his wife has left him so heartbroken but the more time he spends with Paige the more he can see making a family with her. Loved this sweet romance with two people who were letting life pass them by until they met
What a cute story! Although this is part of a series it can be read as a complete standalone. Paige, a doctor in a small town, decides that life is passing her by and to get what she is looking for in life she needs to move to a bigger city. Cormac is a widower with two small children he believes he can only focus on their happiness. Cormac and Paige meets and the chemistry is undeniable. They both have these plans and theories of why they cannot be together but fate has other plans. I loved the emotions this book brings out. You become invested in Cormac and Paige you want to see them happy and for everything to workout. If you are looking for a single dad second chance romance this is your book! It is a story that draws you and keeps you turning the pages. The story is realistic and makes you want to visit the town and interact with the people.
Welcome back to Singletree! This is the most hilarious book thus far!
We’ve already met Cormac and his girls in Shaking the Sleigh (Callan’s brother). I think we were ALL excited to get his HEA! Paige is also mentioned in Shaking the Sleigh – her mom is friends with Gran!
These two are neighbors, they were set up, they were both looking for a second-chance, both doubting their choices, and it was all awesome!
Both main characters are relatable, lovely people. And as usual, the world-building is excellent. I can envision myself living here and being friends with all the characters.
The plot was believable and compelling. I couldn’t wait to read about the next hilarious thing on the path to their HEA. Dogs? Kangaroos? Baking? Dating disasters? This rom-com has it all!
My favorite part was definitely the taxidermy. Trust me on this. I almost woke the family up laughing.
If you like books by Pippa Grant, Lucy Score, Claire Kingsley – this book is for you. The friendship is there. The romance is there. The laughter is there. The grand gesture is top notch. The HEA is perfection.
In this troubled time I just want to wrap this book around me like a blanket and take it with me everywhere. It’s funny, sweet and heartwarming in the most beautiful way.
Cormac and Paige are like bee and honey. They belong together but circumstances are not perfect. Their road to a happy ever after is long and winding and it will make you laugh and swoon, google taxidermy laws and strange animals. Not to mention you will be spending your time in the best small town in the world.
I don’t want to ever have to leave this happy place. Hopefully we will get a lot more stories added in this series. Go grab yourself some comfort food and read this book.
I absolutely love visiting Singletree! Delancey does another great one! In the hard times it’s great to have an escape. And Delancey Stewart is excellent at allowing us to escape from the crazy of our world
Delancey Stewart did it again. This book is so good I couldn’t put it down. I absolutely loved Paige and Cormac’s story and that they got their second chance.
I really enjoyed Second Chance Spring. This is a wonderful and fun romance story. The characters are wonderful and perfect together. I love the small town setting. This book is engaging and entertaining. A perfect romance story of love and family.
I loved this “All The Feels” romance. Cormac and Paige were incredibly likable and super easy to connect with and root for. This second chance story felt very genuine and has a very realistic air to it. Deep emotions, drama, humor, sweetness and small town charm are cleverly combined into a fun and heartfelt read that was just wonderful. Of my own accord I am posting a sincere review.
I was so excited to read Cormac’s story and it didn’t disappoint! He and his two wee girls stole my heart when we first met them in Shaking The Sleigh.
Cormac is a single dad raising his two precious little girls. Cormac is a widower after his wife and the girls mum suddenly died. Life has been hard for all 3.
Paige is the town’s family doctor and has grown up in the small town of Singletree but she feels it’s time for her to spread her wings and take the opportunity of working in a bigger practice and she has started to feel that she needs more!
After the neighbours Paige and Comrac bump into each other and spend more and more time together, maybe just maybe Cormac’s heart will start to heal and Paige might not need to escape to the big city!
This book is everything you wish for in one of Delancey’s stories, love, family, animals! Another fantastic story in the Singletree series!
I received an arc but I am voluntarily leaving my honest review.
