Do Squire and Kelly have enough patience and faith to make their second chance possible?
After his deployment, injured and discharged Major Squire Ackerman returns to Three Rivers Ranch, anxious to prove himself capable of running the cattle operation so his parents can retire. Things would be easier if the ranch wasn’t missing 1.6 million dollars, which forces Squire to hire Kelly, the girl who … the girl who rejected his high school prom invitation, as his accountant.
She’s back in town with her four-year-old son, living in her parent’s basement until she can get her life back together. With fresh ink on her divorce papers and open gashes on her heart, she’s not ready for much beyond her new job on the ranch.
Squire wants to forgive Kelly for ignoring him a decade ago. He’d like to provide the stable life she needs, but with old wounds opening and a ranch on the brink of financial collapse, it will take patience and faith to make their second chance possible.

Most enjoyable and clean Christian romance – highly recommend!
I like to read for relaxation and enjoyment. As such, it is refreshing and enjoyable to read a good, clean, Christian romance with likable, well developed characters and plot. I totally enjoyed Second Chance Ranch by Liz Isaacson. This is the first of a multi book series that can certainly be read as a standalone novel. Based on how well I enjoyed this, I do plan to read more, and soon. Thanks for a sweet and good clean story! Well done!
What a surprise excellent book, I just read the 2nd in the series & it is a good as the 1st will probably read whole series. This is a feel good series without getting gross.
It is about couples who had pretty much given up on finding a partner. Highly recommend.
02/16/2021 “Second Chance Ranch” (nook) is a sweet romance filled with angst, heartache and, heartbreak. I liked the lost love concept and the prayers.
Loved being introduced to the Three Rivers Ranch. First book is about Squire, former military, now cowboy, son of the ranch owner. He is back but running the ranch is not what he wants to do – he wants to be a veterinarian and run the ranch. Going back to school is the easy part, finding the money to pay for it is another story. He knows his GI Bill will pay for some, but not all, of the schooling. Being a veterinarian is not the only secret he is keeping from his dad. There is 1.6 million dollars missing from the ranch funds and he needs to find it. In steps Kelly, former Squire crush, and girl that broke his heart. She is fresh off a divorce and needs a job. Just so happens the ranch needs a new accountant. Together they are working to find the money and together, they might find a little bit more. A great, clean read and cannot wait to see what happens next at the ranch.
I started this series with the First Lady at 3 Rivers. I really liked that as we see both of those mains quite a bit. I loved this story. The setting, the second chances, the ranch, family, and mystery. I honestly am grabbing the next book immediately!
Struggles for Squire and Kelly after life threw them a curve. It is a different world/life for Squire and Kelly in the present; very different from their high school years. A sweet, romance grows, problems faced and decisions made.
Great story showing the main characters healing from past trauma and relying on God for direction for their lives. The mystery of where’s the money was resolved and it was a surprise for me which is good. Well written. Kept me reading straight through.
It was satisfying. I enjoyed it enough to go on to read two more of her books.
I really enjoyed this book. I loved the trial that squire and Kelly had to overcome. It is a great western contemporary read.
Loved this series of books.
Loved this book, the characters are strong and they work well together. I liked the history they had and how caring they both are. This was just a great read. I really like this author and how she develops the characters, you feel like you know them.
Second time to read.
A wonderful clean read

Another great book by Liz! Easy read and inspirational.
Great series!
The plot of the story was interesting, although a little predictable, and the characters were well developed. I would love to visit Three Rivers Ranch in real life if that were possible.
