Do Squire and Kelly have enough patience and faith to make their second chance possible?
After his deployment, injured and discharged Major Squire Ackerman returns to Three Rivers Ranch, anxious to prove himself capable of running the cattle operation so his parents can retire. Things would be easier if the ranch wasn’t missing 1.6 million dollars, which forces Squire to hire Kelly, the girl who … the girl who rejected his high school prom invitation, as his accountant.
She’s back in town with her four-year-old son, living in her parent’s basement until she can get her life back together. With fresh ink on her divorce papers and open gashes on her heart, she’s not ready for much beyond her new job on the ranch.
Squire wants to forgive Kelly for ignoring him a decade ago. He’d like to provide the stable life she needs, but with old wounds opening and a ranch on the brink of financial collapse, it will take patience and faith to make their second chance possible.

I thoroughly enjoyed reading Second Chance Ranch. Thank you for such delightful characters who led through an amazing, original plot. I was kept guessing the culprit almost to the finish. It is refreshing to read a Christian book that is a page turner! I look forward to more.
An interesting sweet good clean best friend’s sister romance. This engaging storyline includes angst, lack of communication, grief, love, suspense, and some bumps along a sweet journey to a HEA. The characters are realistic, both had their trust issues to work thru but find love thru patience and Lord’s way. This beautifully narrated story had me feeling all the emotions adding more life and joy thru every page listened.
Heartwarming second chance cowboy romance.
Kelly has just been through a nasty divorce and is needing to start over so she packs up everything and she and her son move back to her parent’s house. She is an accountant and has an interview at the Second Chance Ranch where she spent a lot of time when she was younger.
Squire has been discharged from the Army with a damaged leg. He is now the foreman of the ranch. His parents want to retire but there is over a million dollars missing on the books and Kelly is hired to find it.
Squire had a crush on Kelly when they were younger and finds he still does.
I recommend this book to all who like good clean reading. I encourage you to buy it and find out where the money went.
Really enjoyed this clean second chance romance. Loved the characters and even had some.!mystery in this story.. Recommend
This book was amazing because it was just really nice to read a book that was clean and had an HEA and there was no ow/om drama. Read it please!
I loved it i couldnt put it down
I liked Second Chance Ranch because it is a poignant story of on man’s struggles to overcome afflictions and to put his life on hold to do what he feels is expected of him. One woman’s struggle of life after divorce and the struggle of single parenthood. How these two reconnect and find a love worth fighting for. I was touched to see how each overcame and strove to bind together to solve the mysteries before them and search for God’s plan for them. The Arthur was instrumental in hiding who the real culprit was. I enjoyed this book from cover to cover for both a good story of faith and healing, love and trust. It has a nice wholesome cover unlike some books of today. The Arthur weaves life’s challenges into the story. Few other books compare to how the author portrays the characters in this book. An altogether five stare performance again.
It is a wonderfully wholesome book I’d recommend to read over and over.
Overcoming
Kelly comes home to Three Rivers due to a divorce. She applied for the job as accountant at the ranch. Squire is working to tasks over the family ranch after being injured in the Army. He has had a crush on Kelly since forever. Is there a chance for love.
Even though I had read it before, I still reread and enjoyed it.
I loved it and can’t wait to read the next book about Three Rivers Ranch and the characters that r coming alive there. Liz has away of bringing her characters to life and giving them all parts in the story and ur like oh yeah I remember that person being there before from the last book. That’s what makes a great Arthur and that’s what keeps u as the reader coming back for more. Keep up the good work Liz I can’t wait to read ur other books too!!
I found this a nice, clean, refreshing read! (especially after reading an adult fantasy genre book that had so much violence in it that I quit in the middle of it). Second Chance Ranch has interesting characters, mystery and plot beyond the romance—which is always nice in my opinion—and a light inspirational touch that includes church, God, and faith without being overbearing or preachy. The whole book felt inhabited by real people. I guessed the mystery (who dunnit for the missing money) early on, but it was nevertheless a rewarding read overall and I recommend it for anyone looking for a light, clean, heartwarming story. I liked the theme of forgiveness and second chances.
I love Liz Isaacson, her novels are truly wonderful! It is hard to find an author who can distinguish between a Christian Romance Novel and a Contemporary Romance Novel, but Ms. Isaacson does it and she does it well! I highly recommend every novel that I have read, and I hope that every novel I plan to read in the future is of the same quality!
“Second Chance Ranch” is a story of love, redemption, and second chances (obviously since it is found in the title). Squire and Kelly have a love story that is not typically for most romance authors, it is different without being too different. When you dive into this story you will meet two characters that could be your next door neighbors if you didn’t look hard enough.
I recommend this ten novel series, each one is better than the last. Very well written, it’s like a story coming off the pages before your very eyes.
I am enjoying reading this series of books. The books are easy to read and good wholesome stories. They build off of characters in previous books so it isn’t the same story being repeated like in many series books. I will be looking for other books by Liz Isaacson.
