An emotional second chance romance.
Owen had liked Lily for a while but she had turned him down because she was going through a divorce at the time. But neither one was quite able to get the other out of their mind. So when Owen came back for his dad’s funeral, the attraction flared up again. But there is much more to this story than just a second chance romance. So much more! It has a lot of things going on at once but it’s still easy to follow and makes for an exciting read.

Owen and his best friend rob a mobster to get money for treatment for a severely sick family member. They succeed and invest the money in growing legal weed in California. Fast forward to the following year. Owen meets Lily again, sister to his friend’s fiancee and the one who got away. Now he wants to try again, but just when things look up between them, the mobster returns and wants his revenge – and of course his money.
The story itself is good and a page-turner. Personally I do not like Robin-Hood-like stories – doing wrong is still doing wrong – no matter the reason. But I recognize that that is not a topic that disturbs others. So definitely a good book to read.

Owen is a vet with PTSD who has been traveling the road on his vintage Harley when he gets calls from his best friend and mother telling him that his father has suddenly passed away and must come home. At his father’s funeral, Owen sees Lilly, his best friend’s fiance’s sister. Lilly shot down Owen a year ago while she was going through a divorce, and Owen was dealing with his PTSD issues. Owen vows to make Lilly his this time no matter what. Can Lilly and Owen make their second chance their happily ever after? What happens when Lilly learns the truth about where the money for her bar and all the other businesses the family owns came from? Can Owen and Lilly overcome their issues? Can Owen and Lilly work together to get her kidnapped sister back? I loved the chemistry and sexual heat between Lilly and Owen. I enjoyed reading Second Chance Love by Luke Splendor. Great story with some suspense, danger, and hot sex. I would definitely recommend getting Second Chance Love by Luke Splendor.
Owen’s a vet with PTSD, which has caused him to make some poor decisions in the past. He comes home for his father’s funeral, and runs into Lilly, his best friend’s fiancee’s sister. They had previously met, but neither one of them was in the right place. He realizes that he wants a second chance with her. She’s a badass girl who’s not afraid to go after what she wants. Owen’s past eventually causes some problems for him. This story got really steamy really fast, and I loved every minute of it. This is my first read from this author – I’m looking forward to more.

An absolutely fast pace engaging page turner! The storyline is well-developed, emotionally deep, and well written. There are twists and turns, suspense, witty banter, humour, and heart-racing adventure. This book took me on one wild ride and held me captivated until the end. The characters are strong and well developed; the chemistry between them is off the charts, intense, and potent. A lot happened in this book and it is definitely worth the read. I am looking forward to the next book!

After serving in the military Owen is suffering from PTSD and his way of dealing with it is to hit the road on his vintage Harley He keeps in touch with his family by phone and he is stunned when he receives a call to say his father has died after all he only spoke to him a few days ago. When he returns to California for the funeral he runs into Lilly the woman whose heart he broke when he left for the military, The connection is still there but will they have chance at love this second time around. As danger escalated closer from his and his friends decisions made when they returned from the military will he be able to keep her safe.
Owen is back home after a year on the road dealing with the death of his father when Lilly comes strolling back into his life. Owen and Lilly had a connection before he left a year ago but they both fumbled the pass before it could be completed. Now a year later they are not letting anything get in their way of the second chance they both deserve. That is until the past refuses to stay in the rear view and everything is put into jeopardy. So will they make it work or will it all unravel? This book had a sweet and steamy romance with a good suspense pulling an enticing supporting roll. Good characters though Kyle and Candy got a little annoying at times it still made for a good read.
