REVIEW: A CURSE FOR SPRING by Amanda Bouchet is an adult, stand alone, fantasy story line focusing on Prince Daric and the woman he loves as they journey in the hopes of ending decades of drought for the kingdom of Leathen.
Told from dual third person perspectives (Daric and Rain) A CURSE FOR SPRING focuses on the kingdom of Leathen, and the decades old drought. Daric has loved Rain for most of his life since the day he pulled her from the magical mist, but the ongoing drought is threatening the people of Leathen. But Rain knows that her time with Daric has an expiry date, an expiry date that is tied to the Leathen drought, and the curse that surrounds the man that she loves.
Amanda Bouchet draws the reader into a love story; a cross-country adventure wherein our couple will profess their love as they search for a way to break the curse. A CURSE FOR SPRING is an intriguing and passionate tale of ill-fated lovers.

Winter’s Web by Jennifer Estep
An Elemental Assassin novella
4.5 stars
Gin and Owen’s first trip to the renaissance festival was supposed to be fun! However, it turned out to be dangerous and decidedly more adventuresome then the one my family and I attended recently! I loved the action scenes and got a kick out of the villains’ arrogance. I also enjoyed the interspersed pockets of humor that helped keep things relatively light-hearted.
A Wilderness of Glass by Grace Draven
A World of the Wraith Kings novella
5 stars
How on earth have I missed out on the awesomeness of Grace Draven?!! Since I didn’t check beforehand, I don’t know if this is part of the actual series or a stand alone, but who cares! I loved this story a ridiculous bunch! Even the creepy villain didn’t detract from the emerging romance. I loved Brida’s personal strength and Ahtin’s caring nature, and their romance was a sensual delight! This one was my absolute favorite of the anthology.
A Curse for Spring by Amanda Bouchet
4 stars
A prince’s kingdom cursed without rain and a seasonal goddess who may know how to fix it. But at what cost? Daric and Rain’s romance was beautiful done, yet the heartbreaking moment I knew was coming still had me yelling at my kindle. Thank goodness for epilogues!
The Dragons of Summer by Jeffe Kennedy
An Uncharted Realms novella
DNF. Once I got my bearings, I think the story itself was good, but didn’t hold my interest enough to finish it.
