It’s so heart-warming to return to Rio Azules, a small, friendly town in Texas, and it was fun to re-visit the Mcalister family. This is the third story involving the four siblings, so I am really hoping for another (there’s one sister we don’t know much about). I loved the plot of a successful female surgeon falling, ripping her clothes and spilling beer all over herself, therefore being taken (and treated) as a homeless drunk. And it just got better!
Clean, Christian book that I read in one day–didn’t want to put it down!
Oh, wow! Loved Ray and Sylvia’s story!! Ray was looking for a wife, as he wanted a family. His fiance leaves, as that’s NOT what she wants. When he meets Sylvia, he thinks she’s a drunk. When the truth comes out that she’s a surgeon, Ray’s already more than halfway in love with her. Sylvia has carried a load of grief and guilt since she was 15. When she meets Ray, for the first time in many years, she’s opening her heart. When she does, not only does she let Ray in, she opens her life up to God again, too. Such a great book that shows us that when we give things to God, He’ll shoulder our burdens for us and remove them from our shoulders, and He will give us better things than we ever imagined.
I received a complimentary copy of this book, was not required to leave a review, and the opinion expressed is my own.
Ray and Sylvia meet, are instantly attracted, but each back off for their own reasons.
He finds her a place stay next door to his townhome.
When a threat comes to their building each think they are the target until a more specific threat is painted on the building.
Each selflessly wants to protect the other and take the reader on a great ride!
I love the misunderstanding and I adore having some suspense in my romance. I think this is my favorite of the series so far! I love how kind and genuine and protective Ray is.
I received a complimentary copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving an honest review.
When it comes to romantic suspense – Alexa Verde is THE BEST!!! And she has you giggling in between gasping, happy sighing, and having mental, emotional, and Spiritual AH HAH! moments. Fabulous book! Super fabulous series!!!
I like this author’s style and this fun read is just perfect for the holidays. She has the worse luck ever and he’;s the guy that crushed on her in the past and is eager to take it further. First though they have a murder to solve and gotta keep her safe.
I’ve loved all Alexa’s stories I’ve read, and this one is no exception. A good samaritan nurse helps a doctor in danger, risking both their hearts, and their lives. If you love to read faith-filled contemporary romance with a strong twist of suspense, try this one!
Season Of Amor ( Rios Azules Romance: The Macalisters – Book 3 )
By: Alexa Verde
Season Of Amor is book three in The Macalisters series. Ms. Verde pens of faith-filled, sweet, heartwarming, small town romance with elements of suspense. I love these small town romances ,and proud to be back in Rios Azules. This is Ray Macalister and Sylvia Barron’s story. Sylvia has been dumped by her boyfriend and without her purse. Ray is through with careen women. Ray has a good heart and doesn’t hesitate to help a woman in need. There becomes attraction between these two. There is also some mystery with suspense in this story that will keep you guessing till the end.
I was given a complimentary copy of this book , but was not told that I had to give a positive review. All opinions are my own.
Ray is a amazing man who is always helping people in need. When he leaves the gas station he is shocked to see the lady on the ground moaning. Sylvia can’t believe that Kent would just take off and leave her stranded. When she falls in a muddy pool of beer she can’t get up. Sylvia can’t believe the way Ray just picks her up out of the mud to help her. The characters in this book are all very special people who feel like your family. You won’t be able to stop reading this book. This book is truly a wonderful inspirational story. I had the honor to review this book for the author for a honest review. I would give this book a higher rating than a five star review if I could.
