This is a stand alone novel and can be read out of sequence. Portions of this book appeared in an anthology. This is the only full-length and expanded/enhanced version, which has not appeared in any other collection.
Special Operator T.J. Talbot had watched from afar as his best friend married the love of his life. Raised in and out of the foster care system and nearly ruining his chance to … chance to become a SEAL, he figured his Happily Ever After would never be. But Dr. Death plays a heartbreaking trick on him and he winds up being the man’s father confessor, where he makes a promise to the dying SEAL to look after his friend’s wife and baby.
Back in the states, Shannon Moore is grateful for the baby she is carrying, though she is a constant reminder of the man who no longer lives at her side. She is not ready for the attention from the community she receives, especially from T.J. She’s decided to honor her fallen husband by giving her whole life to the child he left behind.
Recovering from his wounds, Talbot is plagued by the depth of the wounds he still carries inside him, as he tries to perform a mission he wishes he was not given. Rebuffed at every turn, he struggles but understands his promise might not be able to be fulfilled. He does not want to take what was never given to him in the first place.
But what starts out as an improbable love story begins to bloom and grow. When Shannon and the child are endangered, he will not quit fighting for the family he now knows he was meant to love forever.

To much bad language
Good beach read. Loads of profanity, for those bothered by this kind of language. HEA that requires a twisty road to get there. Not a cliff hanger, thank you, thank you!
Good book to just enjoy.
Very captivating book
Great book
Author to follow.
Very very unrealistic. First that Shannon falls into TJ’s arms so willingly and second that she can even THINK about sex a week after having a baby. Please. Other reviewers on iBooks felt the story was rushed and I have to agree. TJ’s back story warranted more time, as did his relationship with Shannon.
Liked this. However liked other books even better in this series. This one is like 4.1 stars and other books more like 4.4 to 4.9 on average ( there’s always something that can be improved on ;-))
I have two issues with this book. Other readers may not feel the same. The first is that the main female character loses her husband in war, supposedly the love of her life, but within three months she is in an intimate relationship with her husband’s best friend. I don’t understand someone who can move on so quickly. Not sure that is really …
I enjoyed this book very much.
Loved the story line. Hated the language. I won’t buy the others to read.
Enjoyed reading this book
Too much sex and too much language for me.
It wasn’t as good as I had hoped. Didn’t connect with the characters.
I prefer thrillers & mysteries.
Great storiy with other stories built in. Great romance, great page turner, Romaric scenes with great page turning suspense
Enjoyed this book
This series of SEAL books exemplifies the bond that exists between men who face death together as they risk their lives for their country. Although they are portrayed as macho Alpha males, we are allowed to see their inner insecurities as well as their determination to overcome the things that haunt them. The love that grows between TJ and …
Seal’s Promise by Sharon Hamilton
Start out with other works by the author and a synopsis of the book.
Enjoy watching home of the brave tv show and seals and swat teams shows as they are go getters.
Play hard and play at fun also. Love hearing of contributions to the projects to aid those who return to us in the USA from the wars.
