This is a complicated, page turner of murder and many, many questions — who, why, and what next. Taylor, a Navy Seal, and Midge, working in a records office at the base, are neighbors in the apartment complex. As their lives intwine, making more and more discoveries, they explore more and more possibilities. Dale Mayer takes the reader down a complicated journey. I opened the book last night and finished it in a day. Bravo!

A Sensational Suspense Romance .
I really was pulled right into this story .
This is such a Suspenseful and definitely intriguing read . This is part of the Seals Of Honor Series . It is outstanding . Taylor just makes it home after being away on a mission .
Midge his neighbor stops to check on him when she notices his door open .
As she is leaving the apartment building Taylor notices her door is open . He goes to close her door he notices a smell that’s all to familiar .
Taylor soon finds he must catch Midge before she leaves because there’s a big problem and trouble .
Midge works on base at Staff Records
and does not understand why she is being targeted and by who . Taylor promises he will keep her safe of course attraction and romance gets involved . Soon the story gets intense and very crazy . This story is full of twists and turns , great characters .
I highly recommend taking the time to read and enjoy .
Another good one from Dale Mayer. Huge fan of the Seals series and Heroes series. Plenty of alpha men and great strong relatable women. Taylor never hesitated to step in and help out when Midge needed it, he just did what came naturally to him. I do wish at the end though that there would have been more to the HEA, it seemed to end quickly and I wanted just a little bit more. Still a really good book
Who knew that a job in staff records could be so dangerous? I never get tired of story lines showing how SEALs have so much integrity, honesty, caring, and yes even shyness, under those big, burly, badass bodies. Taylor’s attention to detail, even in the face of having just returned exhausted from his mission with Nelson, saved Midge’s life and reputation. I also enjoyed Midge’s ginger-haired spunk and temper sprinkled with her shock and devastation as events unfolded.
This was indeed a tangled web, and without giving anything away, I can honestly say that I really did not see the ending coming. Excitement right up to the final page.

3.5 Stars
This is book 21 in the SEAL’s of Honor series and it features Taylor and Midge. Midge’s life was like living Murphy’s Law. Anything that can go wrong will go wrong. Multiple murders, action, adventure and a HOT Navy SEAL to help with it all. Midge was a little fickle at times. A big deal was made out of the ticket but then we didn’t hear anymore about it.
This story was a little predictable with a few holes but still a good read. Lots of surprises with a small amount of romance.
Too close for comfort or no break, Taylor comes home to find murder in his unit block and the bodies adding up fast. Midge a what you see lady, doesn’t understand why her and her work friends are targeted. Together with help from Taylor’s team mates, they gets on with solving these cases while the relationship between Taylor and Midge grows and blooms, they end up getting their man/lady with the old saying coming into play. “Most things lead back to greed “.
This is the best story so far of this series! Everything developed so smoothly and naturally that you felt like you were having a glass of wine with your best friend who was telling you how She met this guy, etc, etc. It felt comfortable even though there is a lot of violence in the story.
Every time I start one of Dale Mayer’s stories I am sure it will be a rerun of a previous story but it NEVER is! Her imagination along with her writing skills is absolutely amazing.

I really loved this story, there is a whole lot going on with body after body turning up and very little clues to go on at first. It builds at a steady pace and is quite suspenseful, even slightly edgy at times. The characters were easy to love and seemed a great fit for each other, Taylor being protective and very caring even before the relationship developed. Interesting plot which becomes even more so as it unfolds, it was great not guessing immediately the why’s and what does, keeping me gripped and eager to find out who. Dale manages to keep me coming back for more on whatever series she is working on, each unique to that series but some also cross over sometimes. I love how she still keeps them on track while being different and exciting.
Wow. Murder, mystery, suspects and following the clues are the order of the day. We have Midge (love the name) doing her job on a base and updating info so people can go about their lives. Taylor is home after a mission and is reminded his door is open by Midge although it’s not long before he takes her back to her apartment when he finds a dead body in her bed. It’s sets out the mystery of who, what and why dead bodies are piling up and Midge is the chief suspect. What an awesome story. At one point I was pointing my finger at the detective because it all seems off while he was doing his job. Great characters as always and a brilliant story that had me guessing and coming up wrong.
Taylor is back from a mission and trying to settle down in his apartment and get some rest, but he sees his neighbor, Midge and couldn’t resist talking to her. Midge seems to be one of those people where trouble always finds her. After finding a dead guy in her apartment Taylor is trying to help her stay alive. Killings, danger and a possible relationship. Always something going on with the seals. HEA
