All her life, Rachel Winchester has fought against the idea that she was nothing but white trash destined for Loserville. Now, it seems all that fighting was for nothing. Sure, she’s running a successful B&B and, yes, she finally had her way with a man she’s crushed on for forever—Harris McCallister, the guy she’s flirted with for years; the guy she’s thought about and pined for. She’s … finally feeling good about the future when—bam—she gets pregnant. True or not, in her world, nothing says white trash more than an unmarried pregnant woman. Worse, her “loving” mother is threatening her over the B&B and the property it sits on, all because of a silly legend about a pirate’s buried treasure.
Harris doesn’t know what it is about Rachel, but he’s always been drawn to her. With her brightly dyed hair and sexy-as-hell tattooed body, she’s impossible to ignore—and drives him crazy in all the best ways. Finding out she’s carrying his baby has him thinking things he’s never thought before. Thoughts he brutally pushes away. Returning to active duty as a Marine Raider is what he wants, not settling down and playing house. He’ll stick around just long enough to make sure Rachel and the baby-to-be are safe from increasingly disturbing attacks they both believe has to do with an old legend about a pirate’s buried treasure. The longer he stays, though, the tougher returning to duty is becoming. But when the time comes to head back to the Marines, he has to make the toughest decision of his life—duty to his country, or life with the woman he loves.

quite the same kind of second chance as his brother, but Harris is getting a second chance to make things right, nonetheless. A series of tragedies has brought him home and might mean the end of his career. Rachel has an unexpected surprise for him that might give him a new reason to carry on. These two create a lot of sparks: both the good kind and bad. They’re both so independent and passionate, it results in a lot of conflict, and even more making up. Add in the potentially deadly mystery of the pirate treasure, and what you get is a compelling read that I absolutely devoured because I was so anxious to see how it would turn out. The way it ends makes me almost desperate to get my hands on the third story in the series now.

Harris is in the Marine and while on a mission his best best friend step on an IED. Harris feels responsible for his death. When he comes home he finds out his father is dead. Rachel used to be a waitress at the bar Harris goes to, she runs a B&B now. Both are attracted to each other. They run into each other at the bar and end up having a one night stand. Rachel ends up pregnant. Will they end up together and who’s trying to kill Rachel? I really am enjoying this series!
I really loved Harris and Rachel’s story. I liked that Harris came back to see Rachel and she was honest about being pregnant. I felt bad for everything Harris had been through and the blame he took. I felt bad that Harris tried to show what the baby meant to him but Rachel kept thinking he was leaving. My favorite part of this was the gender reveal that Rachel did and the decorating that Harris did after. It was such a sweet idea and showed how much they both loved the baby. Glad they both got their HEA.

Harris may be a tough guy, but no man is an island. It only takes a vulnerable woman with the heart of a fighter and a baby surprise to show him the error of his ways. Inside Rachel lies the will to succeed, but life keeps getting in the way of all of her dreams. Harris is the latest in a lifetime of letdowns. When fate throws her another curveball, she finds a surprising hero in her corner. Can the loner and the scrapper find the courage to risk everything for love? Seal’s Accidental Family is a suspenseful, sexy, tragically triumphant tale that sticks to your soul.

I really enjoyed this book. The storyline offers a entertaining blend of drama, heart, heat, danger and mystery. It was so easy to fall for both these characters. My heart kind of broke for Rachel. She had such hopes and dreams but fate and the people around her always seemed to be working against her. Harris was so sure of what he wanted…until fate stepped in and showed him something he never thought he’d want. I loved the emotional depth to this book. The struggle between what is and what these characters want is quite the battle and they both have plenty of emotional turmoil they must work through to find happiness.
FANTASTIC!
A fantastic read that is well written filled with edgy sexy chemistry and engrossing page turning twists that refuse to let you go. The emotions are raw touching and weave themselves into your heart. A captivating must read that is a non-stop suspense filled must read it beautiful HEA!
Oh my, this story was so good. Rachel and Harris were HOT! This started with a BANG and only got better. Even with Rachel’s insecurities, I love that Harris took responsibility and he was there for her the whole time. Leslie North knows how to write a story and I love these series that she does. I can’t wait for Lee’s story and how Chance and Harris get involved.

Rachel Winchester has been Harris’ fantasy for awhile. At 29, he’s been a seal and is stopping off at Parirus Island on his way to his father’s funeral. He and Rachel enjoy a night of forgetfulness.
Now, a month later, the pregnancy test is positive.
Rachel owns and runs Winchester Manor Inn, a B&B that her mother is causing trouble because she thinks there’s pirates treasure on the property.
Meanwhile, Harris just wants to get back to military life, not being a hands on pops.
Can these two over come all the obstacles?

Harris has been through a lot losing team mates and losing his farther, Rachel was always the one bright spot when ever he was back at base and one night before he goes home to bury his farther they finally fall into bed together. Now he is back ready to get back in the action but can’t due to what happened last time he was in action and now is his chance to see Rachel again and oh how things have changed in such a short time. Rachel and Harris actually have the chance to get to know each other but we watch as they contend with sabotage, mistrust, love a bit of treasure hunting and a real lack of communication at times! This is one very rocky road of love and it kept me hooked wanting to know who was behind the evil doings as well as will they make it work. Oh and I loved the idea of the hair reveal!!
