On the outside, Molly Gifford had it all—a hot legal career and a hotter boyfriend. But what she really wanted was a family. So when she discovered her real father, she didn’t hesitate to pack her bags. Even though it meant leaving her old life behind . . .
Molly left everything behind to find herself but she wasn’t expecting things to go the way they have. The man she thought was her father turns out not to be and he leads her to the man that actually is her dad. Molly decides to find him and hopes to form a loving and lasting relationship, something that has been sorely missing in her life. Not only does she find him she now has two half sisters and a grandmother to boot. When her father is accused of murder and is arrested she learns quickly that the attorney they hired to help him isn’t worth his weight. She decides to turn to the man who tried to be a part of her life but who she turned down and left behind so that she could find herself. When a knock came to Hunter’s door he wasn’t expecting for it to be Molly. He hasn’t seen her in close to a year and is still hurting from her departure. He doesn’t want to help her out but being the nice guy that he is he can’t just leave her hanging. He tells her that he will help but as far as they are concerned there is nothing to talk about. Follow along as the two try to help Molly’s father and at the same time figure out just how they feel about each other. Hunter still has feelings, he never lost them but he doesn’t want to get hurt again. Molly still hasn’t found what she is looking for and although she has feelings for Hunter she doesn’t know what to do about them. Will the two talk and let their true feelings show or will Hunter leave town saying bye to Molly forever? This was a touching read that had you cheering for the two to end up together. You couldn’t help but wan them to figure it all out and come together in the end.
I really like this book. I has a little suspense, romance and action. It’s a lovely story and interesting. Molly and Hunter get a second chance at love wich is very lovely.
I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
Molly and Daniel have great chemistry and a good friendship throughout their years together in law school. Molly leaves Hunter behind in search of herself and her real father. Her mother is a selfish woman who only calls Molly when she needs something and has never really taught her about unconditional love or the love of a family.
Molly finds her real father and loves in with him, his mom and daughters trying to find her place in the family.
Her dad is arrested for murder so she asks Hunter to represent him and help her proof his innocence.
This gives Hunter time with Molly and gives them a chance to get to really know each other.
This was a really great read. Full of suspense, drama and a couple of family secrets.
Molly and Hunter each have trust issues. Hunter took Molly’s rejection hard and returned to alcohol and womanizing. Molly still has no idea what she wants and tries to please everyone around her. I voluntarily reviewed a copy of this book.
What a fabulous retelling of this classic story. Updated for the ages, it’s stood the test of time. When Molly ditches Hunter to find her forever family, Hunter is devastated and writes Molly off, drowning himself in work, women, and booze. When Molly’s real father lands himself as a suspect in a murder case, she finds the best legal counsel in the country, Hunter. What follows is a tale of trust, love, and family.

I was anticipating this one after finishing Cross My Heart. It lived up to my expectations. This book caused a book hangover because I just couldn’t put it down. I knew I was going to love Hunter and Molly’s journey I just didn’t know how much. Seeing Molly finally get everything she wished for since she was a little girl was beautiful. I loved her family. What a great cast of characters. Her grandmother was a hoot especially her bird. This book really packs in the feels. There are also some twists that you don’t see coming that is one of things that kept me on the edge of my seat. This a book you won’t want to pass up!
This is another reissue that is perfectly refreshing and up to date. This second chance romance has everything you need in a read, romance, suspense, drama, twists, turns, and humor. Hunter and Molly went to law school together and were involved until Molly left to find her biological father. When she discovers he is being accused of murder the only person she feels can help is Hunter but will he put aside the fact she left him and actually help her now. Hunter does not want to get sucked into the drama but he cannot let Molly deal with this alone but he is not going to let his heart get involved again. Yea, right. It was so much fun to watch these two circle each other and figure everything out. This one can be read as a standalone but I really recommend you read Cross My Heart first for some of the back story and because it is a great book too! Definitely a great two-book series!
This was the second book in his series that was rereleased, I loved Hunter and Molly’s story the first and the second time. Carly Phillips never disappoints. This was a great second chance story. I couldnt put this wonderful quick suspenseful read down, that I highly recommend reading. There were many twists and turns with the case against Molly’s father. Will Hunter be able to move on with out getting hurt.
This story is filled with lots of emotion and love between Molly and Hunter. With just enough suspense and intrigue to keep it fast-paced and exciting. I highly recommend this book for all true romance lovers.
Overcoming a crappy childhood to become a successful person takes a lot of hard work. Carly Phillips brings to life two very strong but flawed characters who take us on a relationship rollercoaster ride. The push and pull of their relationship kept me wondering if they were ever going to be ready to be together. Hunter and Molly crossed paths in law school and again a few years later. Hunter thought he was ready for a permanent relationship, but Molly wasn’t ready. Heart break is not easily forgiven. Later that year, Molly needs Hunter’s professional skills, and thinks she is ready for what she walked away from. Their relationship takes many twists and turns. Beautifully written!

A great second chance story. Molly left Hunter a year before after her mother deserted her again. Then she discovered the man she thought was her biological father was not but she found the man that was. Now she needs Huntrr to represent her newly found father against a murder charge.
I found this book to be easy to read but difficult to put down.

Molly and Hunter’s story was so much more than I expected it to be! What an amazing power couple! They both hit every mark on my romance must have list! The story starts off a year later from last book where we met Hunter and Molly. Lacey (Lily) and Ty are also back but this time as secondary characters. You feel like you are part of their clan which has a whole lot of special something.
The new characters we meet are just as amazing. You will see all stages of live and a very unexpected truth at the end. My heart stopped a few times with some of the suspense Carly added. Sealed with a Kiss will leave you feeling dizzy and like your world just got tilted! I truly enjoyed this book <3
We first meet Hunter and Molly in Cross my Heart and to say their story started out rough was an understatement. However, these two are truly meant for each other. I felt it within every page and every conversation and every action these two have. I couldn’t wait to get my hands on this book after reading Cross my Heart. I literally read this book in one sitting. I think the only time I got up was to use the bathroom and get more coffee. Yes, Ms. Phillips is really that good at her story telling. I honestly wouldn’t change one thing about this book. Other than maybe I just want more. That’s just because I’m greedy and never want Ms. Phillips’ books to end. They could go on and on and on and I would be more than happy. Highly recommend this series and really all of this author’s books!!
Review by Tabitha
Hunter and Molly had unfinished business. Their relationship was different from any others that I’ve read because these two had feelings for each other but have never been a couple but yet it seems like they always were. They both had issues from their childhood that they carried around into adulthood and affected things. It was a bit complicated and in the midst of all that Molly broke Hunter’s heart.
Then Molly needs Hunter’s help in a personal matter at which at first he wasn’t willing to help her but his feelings for her no matter what was stronger. Molly has changed for the better and had gotten some closure about her childhood and she was determined to win Hunter but he was being very careful. But in the end he couldn’t resist her.
This was a quick read but packed with so many feelings and suspense that will have you turning the pages wondering what’s next.
This story features Molly and Hunter. This second chance romance has plenty of drama that runs through each and every member of Molly’s family. Hunter really has his hands full. There’s a lot of soul-searching and self-discovery going on here, as well as building some sibling relationships.
The story was good but it didn’t feel like the emotional, sexy, angsty stories I’ve come to expect from this author.
Here is another good story by Carly Phillips. I enjoyed this one as much as I enjoy all her books.
Daniel Hunter (Hunter), is a foster kid that was able to beat the system, by furthering his education and graduated from law school and is now the top lawyer in his home town of Hawken’s Cove.
Molly, Hunter’s nemesis through law school is in Hunter’s hometown to help her mother’s new fiancée. While there she runs into Hunter.
Molly learns of the only father she ever knew is not actually her “real” father. When she leaves to find her bio father she leaves Hunter behind, a broken mess. What happens when Molly comes back to town to ask Hunter for the biggest favor she has ever asked of anyone? Will Hunter help Molly or is he to afraid of getting his heart broken again to even consider it?
I recommend this book. It a GREAT follow up to Cross My Heart, the 1st book in the series. Another fantastic start to another fantastic series.
Hunter, lawyer for the small guys, all round good guy but has trouble moving on from the past and seeing his own worth. Molly, shifter around by her mom from school to school, house to house with each rich man her mother dates. Unhappy, alone and unloved she decides to move until fate deals her a hand that tells her who her real father is. This was a great story as Hunter not only has to navigate his life when Molly walked out the first time but also when she re-enters his life the second time around. With her real father facing prison and the feelings of Hunter and Herself at the forefront of her mind and with them both dealing with demons, will they get their HEA? Or are their heads to messed up to get the relationship they really deserve? Loved the characters and the story but I was frustrated with Molly at times.

I loved reading Sealed with a Kiss but before I go any further and to get the full jist of Molly and Hunter’s story I would highly recommend reading Cross My Heart first as they are secondary characters in that story.
Molly Gifford and Daniel Hunter both had it tough growing up. Daniel in and out of foster homes and juvi and Molly with parents that could never really be bothered with her leaving them both with relationship issues.
When Hunter laid his heart on the line with Molly she upped and left. Now she’s on his door step needing his help. Can Hunter put the past behind him and help Molly and will the love they both still blatantly still carry for each other get a second chance.
A great second chance romance from Carly Phillips that will not disappoint.
Powerful story about family and belonging!
Molly’s flighty, neglectful mother has left Molly adrift without a solid foundation, until she discovers who her birth father really is and is immediately accepted into his family. When he’s arrested for a murder, she is certain of his innocence, and equally certain that the only criminal defense lawyer that can save him is the one man she had to walk away from – Daniel Hunter.
Hunter doesn’t want to take the case because he doesn’t want his heart trampled on again, but he just can’t let an innocent man suffer if there’s anything he can do to help. He takes on the case and takes on Molly and her seemingly hot and cold attitude towards him, all the while vowing to keep his heart detached and protected.
Their romance started – briefly – in the previous book in this series, Cross My Heart. While this book does a fine job of filling in the blanks so you don’t have to have read the first book first, I highly recommend it because it’s a terrific book on its own and it gives a lot more feeling and insight into these two characters.
This story is filled with emotion, strong family values, a wonderfully heartfelt passion between Molly and Hunter, and just enough suspense and intrigue to keep it fast-paced and exciting. The HEA was so, so beautiful, everything a romance should be. I highly recommend this book for all true romance lovers. I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book.
