Take one desperate real estate agent… add a Navy SEAL who radiates sex through his pores… toss in a corpse, a pair of stilettos and a handful of friends, and watch the sparks fly…
Lieutenant Commander Mick Riley, a member of the fabled SEAL Team Six, can’t pull his eyes from Lacey Owens at the funeral of his mentor. Yet she is the type of woman he wants to avoid – the kind that gets him thinking … him thinking about settling down, spawning kids, and finding lower-mortality employment.
Lacey has her own reasons for avoiding Mick. Tired of living in the shadow of her financial mogul sister, this real estate agent has tossed ethics aside to succeed in today’s beleaguered housing market. Her no-fail plan to land lucrative listings? Crashing the funerals of wealthy corpses with the hope their heirs will need to sell their homes.
But when their circles of friends collide, Lacey can’t avoid Mick’s rock-hard abs and a smile that melts her into a pool of hot wax. Friendship blossoms and passion simmers… even as she struggles to conceal the unethical business plan that brought him into her life.
SEAL the Deal is a full-length novel about the fine line that divides friendship and love, and the unexpected joy of crossing it.

I enjoyed this romance. I voluntarily chose to review it. I’ve given it a 4* rating. It is full of sexual content and not for the under 18 readers. This is fairly fast paced and has a lot of humor. I really liked the heroine, even though she was a bit accident prone. Oh how I understand how that could happen. Couldn’t agree with all her decisions but she went on in face of obsticules. It did lighten my days some.
This book has everything I love in a romance! Hot Navy SEALs, beautifully strong women, and a side helping of intrigue and mystery. Perfection!
A cute story ~ I only know two or three real estate agents, but I can’t imagine them crashing funerals to find clients! Perhaps it’s a good idea? Who knows? It’s a cute & clever idea for a book, though. The characters were fine ~ the plot, same. Not really FABULOUS, but good!
Fun read.
Thanks for your services to all men in uniform
I didn’t skip a word! Loved the plot and the characters! Wonderful humor!
Wanted to read to see what was going to happen next. A page turner. Enjoyable reading.
This book has a great storyline. I laughed so much at attending funerals for referrals. I am sure that is not as hard as attending referral meetings! Great idea!
love it
Fun group of characters
I loved this book. Stayed up all night to finish it.
I REALLY LOVED READING THIS BOOK!! ONE OF MY FAVORITE READS!!
Lieutenant Commander Mick Riley, a member of the fabled SEAL Team Six, cannot pull his eyes from Lacey Owens. She is the type of woman he wants to avoid, the kind that gets him thinking about settling down, spawning kids, and finding lower-mortality employment. Lacey, a real estate agent, is tired of living in the shadow of her financial mogul sister. Lacey has tossed ethics aside to succeed, and she put the tempting SEAL well out of her reach. Their circle of friends collide, and Lacey cannot avoid Mick’s rock-hard abs and melting smile. Friendship blossoms and passion simmers, even as she struggles to conceal the unethical business plan that brought him into her life. – This is a good novel about friendship, love, and learning that not everything as it appears. The friendship between Mick, Lacey, Jack, Maeve, and Bess was wonderful – a chosen family. I enjoyed their comradery, and Maeve’s humor was entertaining. She was a fun character. I signed up for a bonus epilogue but never received it. That is frustrating to me; include all epilogues with the book!
There were times I laughed out loud … belly laugh.. real hard. And then I got scared and then laughed….. It is a really fun story …. hee hee pickup potential listings from funerals is just the start. Great side story with the sister. Great hints on sequels for Maeve and Bess
I loved this story. Couldn’t put it down and read the entire thing in a day! Such amazing characters and good laughs with the right amount of steam. I will definitely have to read the rest of the series.
This is a cute book. Lacey Owens is a struggling real estate agent. She meets potential clients at funerals. I was turned off by this at first but it turns out that she ends up helping most of her clients instead of taking advantage of them. Mick Riley is a SEAL who pissed off his commanding officer and got assigned to teach classes at the Naval Academy. He meets Lacey at the funeral for his mentor. There are a whole lot of secondary characters introduced–probably to set up the next books in the series. I got this book on sale at Amazon and it was definitely and entertaining read.
Mick has been relegated to teaching after his last SEAL mission led to him badmouthing his Commanding Officer. Lacey is a Realtor who visits funerals to try and garner work. Both of them believe that work comes first until they realise that life is too short to miss out on love.
I have started with this book. And now am reading her other books. I love her characters and the setting she has them in. I love to read about SEALS and Army men. I love visiting the places she has them. She takes me there so easily. I love how she intertwines her characters too. She has real life experiences in her books. I have read her Sheridan brothers books and the Sheridan too. I have 3 sons too!
Not realistic, slow moving
Lacey is just starting as a real estate agent and she starts crashing funerals to find business. But she’s not very good at it, sometimes she even talks them out of selling. Like she did her friend Maeve. Now she rents a room from her along with another young girl. Mick is a Navy SEAL and has been sent to Annapolis to teach. He has returned just in time for his mentors funeral. That’s where he meets Lacey. Mick swears he’ll never settle down because he plans to go back on missions with his team.
Mick and Lacey become friends and start hanging out with her friends and an office mate of Mick’s. Lacey says her job comes first and doesn’t have time for relationships but the more time they spend together, the more they want each other. Until Mick finds out what she was really doing at that funeral, he says some things that hurt Lacey’s feelings. Before he can apologize, he is shipped off for a black ops mission. Can he get her to forgive him and make a life with him?
Funny. Loved the characters. Easy to read and keeps you turning the page. It tells everyone’s point of view, not just the main characters. You might need some tissues while reading. The sex is sizzling.
