Any book by Sharon Hamilton is a winner in my opinion and this one does. not disappoint. From. the first page to the last I was enthralled with her characters and grabbed by the story. Don’t miss this one.
A really good SEAL romance!
Seriously? Where could you go wrong with a retired Navy SEAL?
This series really started off good, with Silas and Maggie. Now we have Garrett and Mimi, and it’s wonderful! Silas taps Garrett as the first leader for his new project and Garrett agrees, even though he’s nervous that’s it’s too soon for him to be back in the thick of things. Then he discovers why Mimi looks so familiar to him and wonders if he can finish what he started without her getting her hurt. And that’s something he knows he can’t live with. But the more time they spend together, the confirmed bachelor discovers that maybe he’s not really meant to be alone anymore and maybe there is more to life than just existing.
I received a free copy of this book via the author and am voluntarily leaving a review.
Sharon Hamilton crafts a great story with plenty of heat, suspense, and unexpected surprises! Fans of May-December romances are going to love this addition to the Silver SEALs series.
Two books in and I already love this series! Retired Navy SEAL, Garrett Tierney is now a gentleman farmer and content with his life. A call from an old boss has him recruiting a rag tag team to find a high value missing person. Part of that team is an unassuming school teacher, Mimi Wagner, who has a history with Garrett. Mix in a religious cult with a crazed leader, an action packed rescue and a budding romance…it doesn’t get any better than that.
This book deserves more than 5 stars. Garrett older man who never married. Mimi was a seals daughter even married one and was a widow now but she always loved a seal who she never thought she could have. Sharon Hamilton brings you another will written book, amazing characters, pages that draw you in, emotions running wild and yes you cant put it down until the end which leaves you begging for more. What a way to start the Silver Seal Books!!!!!!!!!
Garrett has retried from the Seals. Connor, his best friend died in his arms and he had to move on. While planting his vegetables and taking care of his chickens, he gets a phone call from his old Commander. They need him to stop a cult leader who had taken the presidents daughter.
Mimi is a teacher who gets dragged into the op not knowing she is about to see Garrett again. As the mission gets going so does the chemistry between the two. Can they save the daughter of the president before it is too late?
The characters were fun to read about. Garrett the strong, stubborn man and Mimi, who doesn’t back down, is just as stubborn. They work well together. The story was great and drew me in. While the writing was good there were some editing and proofreading that was sorely missed. Names that were wrong at times and other errors. Overall it is an enjoyable read.
Sharon is one of my favorite writers when it comes to Navy SEALs. She has done her research, and each book is so well written! Garrett and Mimi’s story had me reading from start to finish in one sitting! There are twists and turns, a crazy religious group, lots of SEAL alpha males and a little bit of steam to keep your heart beating fast! Check out each author in this series, The Silver SEALs won’t disappoint!
Sharon Hamilton delivers a thrilling addition to the Silver SEALs Series! As usual, she had me turning the pages!
Suspenseful and exciting story with great characters, the plot is interesting and fast paced. It left me wanting more, especially at the end, I would have liked to know how the rest of the team were after they got home, even if it was just Garrett talking about them in de-brief. That part felt just a little bit rushed from my point of view which is very unusual with this author, with these characters not carrying on through this series it just would have been nice to get that little detail of closure. I look forward to the rest of the books in this Silver seals saga and what the other authors bring to the table.
Seal Love’s Legacy: Fantastic! Wonderful writing and great strong characters. Love how Mimi and Garrett new each other because of the connection with her father. These two were perfect for each other even with the big age difference. I loved how sparks were there even though they had a mission to worry about. Loved it so much. Loving all the Silver Seal Books!
I have been waiting for this Multi-Author Series since Sleeper SEALs ended. Cat Johnson kicked this off with the prequel and this is the first book.
Now Garret isn’t quite sure he’s ready or even willing to take on this assignment. He’s happy living Northern California with his dog, garden and chickens. However, he does travel to DC to find out what it’s all about.
Meeting face to face with Silas Branson, a former SEAL Commander now in charge of a brand new division of Homeland Security, Bone Frog Command, he is told to decide yes or no before the nature of this assignment is divulged.
The President’s daughter has gone missing. Due to the nature her disappearance there is speculation that she has left of her own accord. This is the initial assignment for the Bone Frog Command and the entire fate of not only Georgette Collier, but also the division is at stake. Garrett will have full control over the personnel on his team but one is the choice of the State Department and the White House.
Mimi Wagner is Georgette Collier’s teacher. She has had many high profile students in the time she’s been teaching at Washington Academy. She was surprised when she was notified that Georgette would be out of class for while with no real notice. Usually she had a week or two to gather assignments for a student who was going to be out for any length of time. She has no idea she is about to become part of the team searching for the daughter of the POTUS.
Mimi also knows Garrett, he is only aware that she was married to a SEAL but she is also the daughter of one. He is quite surprised when he finds out who her father was especially with the thoughts he’s been having about her.
While I’m not really a fan of May – December relationships, this one captured me.
The situation is tense as the clock ticks for finding Georgette. The way these two finally get together had me hemming and hawing a bit, but I get the why.
I liked the team Garrett put together and Mimi was definitely key in the mission.
While there were editing errors that slipped by, I still enjoyed the story and I can’t wait for the next book to come out. The Silver Seals have won my heart.
Just because a Seal is no longer in active service, does not mean that he is no longer able to get the job done. Hence, the Bone Frog Command a group of more mature Seals lead by Garrett Tierney who are tasked with going in and getting the job done with little as little disturbance as possible. The first task of this newly formed group is to find the President’s daughter who either ran away or was kidnapped. The first step is to find someone who knows the girl well, enter her teacher, Mimi Wagner, who turns out to be the daughter of Garrett’s best friend and Seal mate who died in Garrett’s arms. It becomes clear early on that there is more of a connection between Mimi and Garrett than just the emotions they shared when her father was buried, but Garrett thinks he is too old for her and Mimi thinks she is too curvy and undesirable. Read along and discover how their romance grows and if they can find their HEA especially while trying to rescue Georgette from a crazy cult leader.
I received an ARC of this book and I am freely giving my honest review and I purchased the book.
Seal Love’s Legacy (Silver SEALS Book 1)
Sharon Hamilton
Fast paced nail biting adventure.
President’s daughter is missing.
Garrett called into lead a covert operation to find her. The girl’s teacher is also a part of the team. She also is the daughter of Garrett’s former Seal buddy.
Strong characters put in near impossible situations that have you turning page after page until the end.
A definite great beginning to the Silver Seals series.
Two imperfect characters fighting a tempestuous attraction to one another while under hostile circumstances is only a sample of what you will discover in Sharon Hamilton’s latest book, “SEAL Love’s Legacy” (Silver SEALs #1). Garrett, a retired Navy SEAL Commander in his forties, suddenly finds himself in charge of Bone Frog Command, a newly developed multi-agency task force under the Department of Homeland Security. Mimi, a voluptuous yet modest high school teacher in her twenties, unexpectedly finds herself recruited to assist Garrett’s team when the daughter of the President of the United States, one of her students, disappears. Initially unbeknownst to Garrett, Mimi is the daughter of his best friend and SEAL teammate, Connor, who passed away in his arms during a long-ago mission. Now add in espionage, a deranged cult leader and a gung-ho group of ex-military heroes and “SEAL Love’s Legacy” (Silver SEALs #1) delivers one action-packed story you won’t forget anytime soon. (I would have provided this book with a higher rating; however, numerous editing and proofreading errors throughout detracted from my concentration and thus, overall reading pleasure.)
When the presidents daughter goes missing Garrett and his team are called upon to rescue her. Mimi Wagner is her teacher but also shares a past with Garrett, she is the daughter of his best friend who died in his arms. This was a great start to a new series. The book was well written with great characters and a well developed storyline. Garrett and Mimi were interesting characters and they had an intense attraction. This was a fast paced and engaging read. It had intrigue, suspense, drama, plenty of action, passion and steam. Highly recommend.
I received an advanced readers copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a honest review.
I liked the premise of the book, it was just too short. I wish the book was longer to explain and flesh out more of the characters and the reason the president’s daughter was kidnapped – sorry spoiler! The book was written well, only saw one misspelling. I thought it was engaging, although I did think it was a bit disturbing that Mimi seems to be attracted to Tierney because he reminded her of her father. I think if the author could have expanded on Mimi’s devastation over the loss of her father it might have not seemed so odd. I liked the secondary characters and also wished they were given more depth in this first book as I am sure we will get to revisit them as the series continues. Definitely worth reading, super fast read.

SEAL Love’s Legacy is book 1 of the Silver Seals Series by various authors.
Lt. Commander Silas Branson from the prequel Seal Strong is now in charge of the DHS multi task force to recruit former Special Ops members when the need rises with threats of any kind to the people of this country…
When a cult leader targets the POTUS and his family, Silas knows the man for the job…Seal Commander Garrett Tierney. Garrett knows that this job could mean the make or break of the task force’s future and his future. He’s asked to work with a young woman, Mimi to help find the POTUS’s daughter who has disappeared…and Garrett find the young woman is none other than his best friend and fallen teammate’s now grown daughter.
Can he keep Mimi safe, find the President’s daughter, destroy the cult, show the task force at its best and find his HEA with Mimi? Only time will tell…
I was glad to see a more mature hero for a change. I truly did not get the sense that Mimi was much younger than him. Mimi carried herself with such a level of maturity, the age difference was not that apparent. Garrett was the one drawing attention to the difference.
There was plenty of action, but I was disappointed that almost the entire explanation for the mission was summed up in two pages. I would have liked more detail. For example, who was Mallory? How did Bridgette meet her? Why was she there? I wasn’t sure if I missed some of the answers to questions I had, but when I went back to re-read, they were not there.
This was a romantic suspense that was heavier on the suspense and lighter in the romance. It was full of action. I liked Garrett and the guys in the team. I liked Mimi too. There was also a HEA. I wish there had been an epilogue. The ending made me feel like I was seeing the culmination of a romance that never fully developed.
I voluntarily read and reviewed the Advanced Reader Copy.
SEALs Love Legacy by Sharon Hamilton is the first book in the Silver SEALs Series. I loved this book especially for the fact that the hero is an older SEAL. I’ve read most of Ms Hamilton’s SEAL books and loved every one of them, this one is no exception. There’s action, suspense and of course romance. I had a difficult time putting the book down once I started it. I loved the fact that Garrett is in his forties! It seems like the heroes in romance books these days are always young hotties, it was nice to read about an older hottie! If this is how the series starts, I can’t wait to read the rest of the books in the series!
I loved the blurb, and the model on the cover is hot as hell, so it didn’t take a lot of convincing to pre-order this book. Not to mention, I’m definitly a Sharon Hamilton fan.
I loved the heat between Mimi and Garrett, and their connection played out well. The suspense/action arc kept things going at a pretty steady clip, and made for a page turner.
The reason for four stars instead of five is primarily due to the missed editing/proofreading opportunities. Their was also a point in the story where I was like, “really?!”. I’m pretty sure having sex in the middle of an op isn’t great SOP. Then again, I don’t read romance because it’s realistic.
All-in-all, this is a good read, and I wasn’t disappointed. I’ll definitly be checking out the other books in the series.
