She walked away 15 years ago but he was the one who shut her out. Now they”re back together but only as co-workers. In this final book of the Silver SEALs series, Caitlyn O’Leary weaves a tale of kidnapping, torture and murder and the team that tackles the investigation. The team lead by retired SEAL Liam McAllister is a highly skilled, varied bunch but they need to add an intelligence liaison. Addison Sanders, stuns Liam when she walks in. Rekindling what they had is secondary to finding a murderer. But they make it all work.
I really liked this group of characters. They were dedicated, snarky, funny and serious in their pursuit of a monster. Liam and Addison were matched perfectly. It was an enjoyable reading experience.
Seal At Sunrise by Caitlyn O’Leary is book 12 in the Silver SEALS series. Commander Liam MacAllister has retired from the Navy, but has agreed to work on a highly sensitive and covert job for his friend Silas. Liam pulls his old team together and Si sends one more highly skilled CIA profiler to work with them. Liam is speechless when he sees Addison Sanders walk in. She was the love of his life, but she had walked away from him 15 years before. The job they are working on is complicated. Women navel officers have been kidnapped, raped and murdered over a period of years. The team stumbled upon this as they were trying to find who was the weapons dealer they had tracked to Mexico, and realized the two were connected. It is urgent that they solve just HOW they are connected. Liam and Addison find they are able to work together, with some initial awkwardness. As they get more comfortable, they slowly start to hash over the past. Meanwhile they manage to rescue Carolyn, a Navy woman that was kidnapped but managed to escape she is able to provide them with some bits of information. Fifteen years is a long time to be apart. A lot of things have changed, especially in Addison’s life. Is it worth fighting for? This is an intense story of greed, sorrow and bravery, trust and second chances. I couldn’t put it down.
Liam wasn’t expecting a blast from his past in the form of Addison. But when Addison is added to his team he is determined to take full advantage of this second chance. However will Addison allow him back into her heart?
I thoroughly enjoyed meeting Liam and Addison. Both characters are seasoned which I enjoyed. I loved that it not only their first blush at a relationship but also they had some age on them. Ms. O’Leary showed that love can and will find you when the time is right. Liam wasn’t ready for what a relationship would mean. What it will require…what it needs. But now he is ready, willing and able. The only trouble is Addison isn’t. I loved seeing Liam’s determination to show his heart and his fears. I loved seeing Addison find the courage to let Liam in…again.
This story by Ms. O’Leary is well written. It has action. It has emotion. It has well constructed and believable characters. I loved this story and look forward to more from Ms. O’Leary in the future.
Liam is on a mission with one of his friends that hits close to home. While on the mission, his team make a horrific discovery and start investigating. When the team needs a Navy consultant that doesn’t answer to the Navy, Addison Sanders joins the team. Liam and Addison have history and sparks fly. Caroline is pretty amazing and should get her own book as well. I couldn’t put this down once I started it!
This is a brilliant book by the very talented Caitlyn O’Leary it is not only part of the Silver Seals series by the Suspense Sisters but also overlaps into the Night Storm series Where we learn’t how Liam leaves the Seals. We also have him working with the men of Shadow Alliance another of her wonderful series.
He has donated his life to the Seals but when an executive decisions put his men at risk he disobeyed orders meaning he left the Navy under less than ideal circumstances all of his men and fellow officers believe he did the right thing and will endeavour to clear his name Meanwhile Silas Branson leader of Bone Frog Command a highly classified divisions of Homeland Security wants him working for him but it isn’t until a mission he is working points to someone killing female naval personnel over a number of years that he commits He will need a Naval liaison but someone who doesn’t answer to the navy during the mission and Silas sends Addison Sanders who was a naval intelligence officer but now works for the CIA. Liam and Addison have history fifteen years before she walked away when Liam wouldn’t or couldn’t commit. The attraction between them is still intense do they have a chance at a life together this time has Liam finally laid some of his emotional ghosts to rest and do they have a future. First he will have to solve the crime that is embedded into the navy and keep the woman he loves safe.
This is definitely a second chance story that will keep you wanting to read more! Liam and Addison had been together years before and Liam thought he had lost her for good. Until she walks in the door and right into helping his team investigate crimes that have gone on for years. He never expects for the chemistry to still be there or for it to be so hard to get close to Addison again. But when she gets caught in the crossfire during the investigation, he will stop at nothing to protect her and show her that he is a different man now.
I loved Liam and Addison. They both lost out on what could have been years before and tried to have a life without each other. But they are both such strong people that even though they never truly moved on-they still managed to at least live. Addison is this woman who went through an extremely hard time but she still managed to step up and do what needed to be done. And I loved that about her! Liam had issues, and I completely get why he did. And while it took a long time for him to finally work through them-he still did it and is this great, stand up guy who would do anything for a friend. They had great chemistry and I loved that even while he wanted to keep her safe-he never truly stifled her or pushed her out of the investigation. He realized exactly what she is capable of and knew she had the brains to do it. I loved that and this story!
Liam and Addison were fantastic characters. When its discovered that Navy women have been being targeted and killed for years Liam and the guys start investigating. Addison is brought in from the CIA to help. Lots of action and great chemistry. The secondary characters are also great! Loved Caroline and hope she’s in future books! Loved it!
I am a huge fan of Caitlyn O’Leary’s books and was very excited to read ‘SEAL at Sunrise’. This book is in the Silver SEALs series, which focuses on stories with older couples than you frequently see in romance novels. The stories are all written by different authors, each with different main characters who are members of the ‘Bone Frog Command’. ‘SEAL at Sunrise’ is a second chance romance and those aren’t always a favorite for me; but as usual, Caitlyn pulls it off beautifully. Generally, second chances, particularly after a long time apart, are annoying because the reasons behind the break-up are often either ridiculous or incredibly selfish and the other person forgives too easily. In this story, Liam had deep emotional scars and issues that he had not dealt with until recently. When he let down his guard and was willing to share them with Addison, she recognized the genuine pain and regret which enabled them to rebuild their relationship. In addition to the love story, there is a well-crafted suspense story about abducted women and powerful men who seem to be unstoppable. Characters from other Caitlyn O’Leary books play a role in this book, with the biggest one being Declan McAllister from the first and only book in the Shadow Alliance series (hopefully there will be more). I really enjoyed this book and it was so absorbing that I just flew through the pages. I found the mature lead characters refreshing and relatable in addition to being well developed and complex. I am a big fan of strong female characters; but with all the alpha males in Caitlyn’s stories, you might worry that the women would either fade to the back or simply defer to men – that never happens. In this story, the women play roles of equal importance and either save themselves or contribute to their rescue – they are strong women who can match-up to/with strong men. I got this book as ARC in exchange for an honest review. I strongly recommend this book or really anything by this author.
Wonderful Second Chance SEAL Story!!
An assignment in the Mexican jungle reveals a terrible long-standing crime against women in the Navy, going back years. When Liam and Addison meet again after years, turns out neither one has really moved on from their romance. Liam was unable to open himself to others until his brother showed him how past events were negatively affecting his life and relationships.
Both have had hurdles to overcome. Addison cannot survive losing Liam again. “She could have pushed down her emotions. She’d done that for years, but he looked at her like he was dumbfounded, then he looked at her like he wanted her. Like he cared.
Another disappearance is their best chance to get on the trail while it’s hot. Exciting, heart-wrenching and all the “feels” for which this author is renown. I highly recommend this particular story and the entire series!!
*** I am voluntarily leaving my honest review of this book ***
When Liam and his team are sent to Mexico to rescue a woman who’s been kidnapped, they find more than they bargained for….including evidence of more missing women. Now the race is on to stop the kidnappings and to find the mastermind…before they end up losing one of their own.
A wonderfully exciting book filled with danger, intrigue, a few tears of relief, second-chances, smexy-times, and mostly, a team that can count on each other to get the job done while having each other’s back.
A really great read.
I received an advance copy of this book from the author. My thoughts and opinions are my own and without bias or remuneration.
I highly recommend this book, the last in the Silver SEALs series. Caitlyn O’Leary weaves a tale of International intrigue, sizzling HOT SEALs, and strong heroines.
SEAL at Sunrise by Caitlyn O’Leary is an awesome read. This is the twelfth book in the Silver SEALs series. This book had me laughing, crying, angry, wanting to hurt someone, . I had all the feels. This book has action, suspense, romance, revenge, kidnapping and more. The book is well written and has very likeable characters. I did not want to put the book down. I can’t wait for the next book by this amazing author. I highly recommend this book.
Love this one and I think it may be my favorite Caitlyn O’Leary book to date. It has all the elements I love – protective alpha males, smart and strong women, romance, action, suspense and mystery. The book jumps to the action in chapter one and continues right up into the end. A definite page turner. Enjoy!
Awesome book. The plot flowed and developed well throughout the story. The characters were believable and realistic. The descriptive part was amazing, that this reader could feel being drawn into the story. The chemistry between Liam and Addison started slowly (because of their past) but quickly developed throughout the story. I highly recommend the book. This is the first one I have read in the series, but this book makes me want to go and read others. I love seeing older characters being heroes and heroines.
Former Seal, Liam Macalister has a job on his hands to find the killers of navy women who were alone in the world. As he builds his team and blast from the past comes in via the CIA and he now wants a future. Who is the killer at large and are they apart of the Navy???? Will Liam get his HEA??? As things hot up and Addison and the other survivors life is on the line, will the team find them before it’s to late. As always an awesome read from Caitlyn full of mystery, intrigue and the usual all action gun toting good guys.
If you are looking for a action packed, electrifying, sigh worthy romance than I HIGHLY recommend you check out SEAL At Sunrise by Caitlyn O’Leary! This is over the top AMAZING! Liam and Addison have a history together. When Liam comes into contact with Addison after many years, sparks begin to fly and he is determined to win her love back even between the case they are working on together.
I can’t deny the the heart melting romance or the blood rushing suspense in this book. The very moment I started it, I couldn’t put it down and every flick of the page brought me closer to the edge and had my heart pumping madly with both the action and the sizzling romance. Caitlyn O’Leary doesn’t disappoint. This book was suspense heaven!
SEAL At Sunrise gets a INCREDIBLE FIVE SHOOTING STARS!
This silver haired SEAL was more up my alley, I didn’t have to feel like a perv lol
This is a very entertaining read, kidnapping, murder and plenty of action. Will you see it coming, I actually surprised myself and did. I hope we hear more from Caroline, she’s one kick-arse woman. Great story, I loved it.
Edge-of-your-seat thriller with a sweet second-chance romance!
Liam and his team are hot on the trail of a serial killer, and their CIA contact is none other than the woman whose heart was broken by Liam fifteen years earlier. Addison certainly doesn’t want a repeat of the heartache from before, so if Liam wants a second chance he’s got a lot to prove to her first.
The clock is ticking as another victim is kidnapped, but this sailor certainly is no victim! Caroline proves to be harder to control or subdue than the previous victims, exposing the killer’s obsessive nature and leading to a whole new set of clues to follow. This part of the story has some dark moments as the killer’s cruelty is made clear, but even this evil is no match for the triumph of the human spirit.
Declan’s McAllister Enterprises is on board to provide all the backup Liam might need, including Dec, Cooper, Hudson, Conroy, Laird, and Brannon. The camaraderie among all these heroes is one of this book’s best parts. The intelligent humor is just a little on the dark, “gutsy” side and I absolutely loved it.
Addison and Liam’s love story was a long time coming, but it was well worth the wait. Theirs is a love for the ages, and I thoroughly enjoyed their story. I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book.
When Liam and his team needs help, CIA sends Addison, she is blast from the past. Liam let her go 15 years ago, this time he’ll do everything to keep her forever. They have to find person or people responisble for all this killings and maybe then they can dream about forever.
As always Mrs. O’Leary wrote great book with awesome storyline and characters.
Seal at Sunrise is the last book in the Silver Seals set. I loved it. Caitlyn O’Leary did a marvelous job with the characters. You will love this second chance romance. Addison and Liam will steal your heart. Seal at Sunrise also has a really good suspenseful plot. Plus you get the sexy scenes, the warm fuzzies, and a happily ever after. Do Not miss this book!
