When the impossible is true… decades.
A dangerous madman watches and waits for his chance to destroy in the name of science. Stopping him is the only way the world can survive.
Ian has his mission. Stop the killer. But Sonora will have to deal with the consquences.
An edge-of-your-seat sci-fi adventure with a healthy dose of clean romance. No swearing or graphic violence, but that doesn’t stop readers from devouring this book almost without breaks. Fortunately, restraint is not required. 🙂

Really had fun reading this one. Wonderfully written with good characters
**** SPOILER ALERT ****
“Seabound: The Beginning” is the first of Dawn’s work that I’ve read. I’ll definitely go exploring in that “universe” again.
The author does a superb job of world building. Both above and below the ocean’s waves. Dawn also does well with the development of her characters.
I enjoyed this entertaining story.
Q: Will Sonora realize the truth of who Ian is to who?
Q: Will Ian find the “traitor” and reclaim the “Artifact”?
A: Buy this book and find out.
In the interest of transparency: I was given a free review copy of this book and I am voluntarily sharing this review. It is my own honest opinion.
He appears and meets her before taking her to his home. He has been tracking an evil man who just happens to be her grandfather. How will it effect them? How will she deal with it all? See where this will take them

This is a prequel and primarily a romance. As such it sets the stage for what is to come. A story about the descendants of the survivors of Atlantis who now live under the ocean and their value as curiosities to the scientific community, it reminded me of some selkie stories I’ve read.
This read more like a contemporary fantasy or fractured fairy tale than sci-fi, but did have contain elements of realism and science. I see a potential for more as the series progresses.
I had some concerns with the way the romance started, a bit of Stockholm overtures and potential, but it was handled well and consent and respect were important and stressed so for all I would have liked to see parts play out slightly differently (and I think the characters would have as well) it worked. It is a clean romance as well.
I would like to see more of the conflict between the evil scientist and the Atlantians, but as this is a prequel, I’m sure that is coming. So as a prequel to whet the appetite for more, it worked. As it plays out, I’m sure we will see more of the Montague and Capulet type conflict as well!
Seabound: The Beginning: A Sci-fi Romance Thriller by Maira Dawn is an amazing clean and refreshing story to read. This is book number on ein this amazing series that I have loved reading. I highly recommend this story to everyone who loves reading about fresh and clean, Sci-Fi and fantasy in their stories.

Ian was an Atlantian. Sonora was a human who loved the sea. The first time he saw her he knew she was his fated mate. She almost drowned and he took her home to Atlantis. But will she stay? Will they find out who is killing the Atlantans? Will they find the lost artifact? Will Sonora give in and realize she loves Ian or will he have to live a long and horrible life without a mate? Exciting and interesting read

This story is quite well written, even if it seems a little strange. The characters are well described and the scene setting are mind grabbing. You almost feel like you are in the story with them. Although this is a different type of read. I did enjoy it. It kept my interest anyway.

This is a fabulously compelling sci-fi story with a tad bit (a big tad bit) of romance thrown in. I love the characters Sonora and Ian especially. The story is well-written and grabbed me immediately at the beginning of the book. I did not want to put it down. I have loved all of the books (as this is the prequel) in the series.
