A dead man rides the chairlift to the bottom of a ski hill on Whistler Mountain. Former RCMP homicide detective Hunter Rayne is at the top of the suspect list, so Hunter has no choice but to get involved in the investigation in order to clear his name.
Meanwhile, trucker Hunter was scheduled to haul a load of freight to Northern California, so he calls up his old friend, biker Dan Sorenson, to … Sorenson, to take his place behind the wheel. What connects the badass biker from Yreka, California to the most prolific female serial killer in US history? And what happens when dispatcher El Watson ignores Hunter’s warning and gets the biker involved in the murder investigation?
In the midst of the investigation, Hunter’s life gets complicated when the progress of a new relationship is hampered by the appearance of a woman from his troubled past.
Sea to Sky is the third novel in the Hunter Rayne highway mystery series.

A good read. Interesting twists and turns. I have enjoyed other books by this author and admire the main male character.
Dragged and repetitive.
Like the main character.
A little slow paced.
It’s not the first of a series, the story didn’t quite resolve, and I felt a bit uncertain at times because the backstory emerged a little more slowly, tied to a subplot that was not well enough developed. But, kept my interest despite occasional confusion.
I really enjoy all the characters in the book. There are well described and easily visualized. I did not think there were enough clues for the surprise ending. Love the beginning and the middle, but the end was kinda meh.
It was interesting and entertaining, but not particularly original or a page-turner. The main character is a retired Canadian Rockie Mt. Police and is meeting up with a woman for the weekend at Whistler Mt. ski area. Someone who has made some enemies and is the abusive ex of this woman happens to be at a work conference there and is found dead …
I’ve never lived in the northwest so I loved the details about that territory. Also, I learned a whole lot about long-haul trucking and truckers.
The story is straight-forward, but you have no clue as to ‘who done it’ until the reveal.
I would read more books from this series. Interesting main character.
Characters to love, hate or wonder about.
Easy read. Very enjoyable
I’ve read all four of Donald’s books. Very detailed and interesting. I especially enjoyed the insider look at the trucking industry.
I’ve become a big R E Donald fan. Her characters are realistic, the dialog good. An easy enjoyable read.
I love the trucker series. Good as always.
eNJOYABLE READ.
Great book!
Good read, keeps you guessing.
Really enjoyed this one. Great characters and colorful language.
This is the third book I have read by this author. Good but not quite as exciting as the others.
Was there a cliff hanger?
