A dead man rides the chairlift to the bottom of a ski hill on Whistler Mountain. Former RCMP homicide detective Hunter Rayne is at the top of the suspect list, so Hunter has no choice but to get involved in the investigation in order to clear his name.
Meanwhile, trucker Hunter was scheduled to haul a load of freight to Northern California, so he calls up his old friend, biker Dan Sorenson, to … Sorenson, to take his place behind the wheel. What connects the badass biker from Yreka, California to the most prolific female serial killer in US history? And what happens when dispatcher El Watson ignores Hunter’s warning and gets the biker involved in the murder investigation?
In the midst of the investigation, Hunter’s life gets complicated when the progress of a new relationship is hampered by the appearance of a woman from his troubled past.
Sea to Sky is the third novel in the Hunter Rayne highway mystery series.

Love the Canadian west coast setting and the cast of flawed by likeable humans in this series.
Very good read
Very entertaining with many twists. A must read.
Easy to read. Characters and plot were easy to read
I had never books about Truckers until I read three of R.E. Donald’s books. Rather interesting.
Well written story…. as good as any Harlan Coben murder mystery that I read… thanks
I loved this book and the author kept me interested. Have read other books by her, and she never fails to entertain.
The book had an interesting view of those who live back and forth across the border between Canada and the US. I would have preferred for the profanity to be dropped, but thankfully there was not a lot of that.
Twist at the end
Very good mystery, a pageturner, it takes you into the world of long distance truckers and a retired mountie. The characters are wonderful, true to life and colorful.
Good read
Good read.
The highway is a strange bedfellow, but not to a seasoned truck driver. Its just a means to an end, and in the end…the Mounties always get their man.
I want to read more from this author
I will continue to read this author. Have read several others and he keeps you interested til the end.
Tells a great story.
I love R.E. Donalds books, a woman who writes like a man, and that is a compliment. I will look forward to the next one, I miss Hunter Rayne when I’ve finished the book like missing a friend, great character.
Good story, interesting characters, no typos, etc. have read other books in series and would,be happy to read more.
I thought this was an interesting book. It was different. Though I felt I had it figured out, I wasn’t entirely sure until the end of the book. So It kept me reading.
I’ve read a couple of the Hunter Rayne books and have enjoyed both. These are not from the dark world of serial killers. They have realistic characters and are fun to follow.
