I am a sucker for Christmas stories and I loved this one. The characters are charmingly realistic and the storyline is sweet and well written. Will Eva be able to move forward with Jack or is it already too late?

This is a cute, quick one. A Christmas Carol is a classic and was paid respect with this one. I liked how she, too, realizes her mistakes after the ghosts arrive. Once she opens up, there is no stopping her. She had good reason to be sad on the holidays and to keep herself safe. However, what she was really doing was losing her own happiness. The characters are all relatable and strong.

I really enjoyed this modern take on Scrooge with Eva as Scrooge. She breaks it off with Jack who happens to love Christmas. Unfortunately, she lost her family at Christmas time so it’s not her favorite holiday. I loved the emotions and fun moments. Great story! A young woman had lost her family in a fire on Christmas Eve and since then hates Christmas and closed herself off from deep relationships for fear of losing someone again. When she meets her boyfriend – he seems perfect. There is only one problem – he loves Christmas and his whole family is coming. She freeks out and breaks it off. That night she is visited – like in Scrooge – by three ghosts ….
The story is fun to read – quite close to the original Scrooge, but modernised with a female Scrooge. An enjoyable short read for the Christmas Season.

A super short story that’s emotional as well as super sweet at the same time. Will grief cause Eva to lose the love of her life or will she realize what she may lose? A modern day version of a Christmas Carol.

This was a great and easy read. It goes to show you that you don’t have to be by yourself no matter what happens in your past. What’s important is your future.

OMG this was amazing. It was super short, but super sweet. I will be the first to admit, I am an emotional sap and get sucked into stories way too easily. This one had me in tears. Sobbing actually…..I mean lip quivering, tears streaming, breath gasping, sobbing. I fell so hard for Eva and Jack, I don’t know which way is up. Of course, Mr. Griswold and his employee gifts was great for a laugh before the heart wrenching began.
Awesome little novella with a great story concept. Awesome characters, fantastic descriptions, and engaging dialogue.
Written as a 1st person, single pov with a HEA.

Scrooge You was a good, short read. A young woman who lost her entire family on Christmas Eve and still carries a lot of guilt about the entire night has a meltdown and kicks her boyfriend out of the apartment. Once she falls asleep, she is visited by her boyfriend (in ghost form) and doesn’t entirely like what she sees. The new take on a Christmas classic was a good book that had me feeling for the main character. Will her dreams be enough to open her eyes to what could be if she lets someone in, or will she suffer alone the rest of her life? I received an ARC via BookSprout.

Eva lost her family in a tragic accident on Christmas Eve years ago. Christmas has been forever ruined for her because of the memories. Jack’s family lives for the holidays, and on their first Christmas together, she’s overwhelmed and asks him to leave. And we get a very modern version of A Christmas Carol. This was a really nice short story, with a great message, a reminder to stop living in the past and embrace your future.

This was such a good little read it is Eva and Jack’s story and is a great retelling of Scrooge. Jack just loved Xmas but Eva still has not been able to get past losing her entire family on Christmas eve ends up losing it and throwing Jack out of their apartment only for his ghost to show up to show her the error of her ways
This is emotional and sweet and everything in between. Eva lost her family on Christmas Eve and it is always a sad holiday for her but her boyfriend Jack has invited his family to celebrate but she is not happy and does not want to be happy so they have a big fight. When she gets ghostly visits that remind her that she should seek joy in the holiday. Will she and Jack patch things up?
