I love holiday themed books. No matter how many times I read a similar storyline , there is always that part that just tugs at your heart. This book was no exception.
Eva is so afraid of lost that she scared to let the one good person in. Jack see Eva for who is, wants her to let him in more.
The characters of beautifully written and even though the storyline has been retold it still pulls at your heartstrings.

This novella was a cute and creative spin off of Scrooge. The depth of the characters that was revealed throughout the journey was wonderful and showed great tallent on the part of Schiller. Further, the emotionality that was present was not only realistic, but seemlessly woven into the narrative so that it further enthralled the reader into Eva and Jack’s story. Jack was so excited about Christmas, and without context for Eva’s reactions, the break she made on their anniversary was heartbreaking for him. Will a night of true intraspection help her see the light before it is to late? This novella is certainly a great introduction to Schiller, or a welcome back.

It’s Christmas in August!! Loved this version of Scrooge from this author. Tragedy and a guilty conscience has stolen her love for Christmas. She hasn’t been able to move on or keep the happy parts of the memory only the pain. He absolutely LOVES Christmas, the beauty, the love, the family and let’s not forget anyone who’s alone. He’s her total opposite in many ways and this year it’s not a good thing. With his family on the way it’s Christmas Eve and she’s over the holiday. . . until. Love the way this author brings it all together in this quick and emotional revamp of a Christmas favorite that does all it needs to do to remind us of what the season is truly about, love, friends and the family you create.
