Piper Stone’s hunky, rude, entitled, Scrooge of a boss is pushing her buttons every day, but he’s taken it too far, this time. Saying she couldn’t take the holidays off was one thing; preventing her to go home to her sick child? Not happening. She has zero regrets when she resigns. Bennet McFinnley can’t believe his annoyingly perfect personal assistant has actually resigned from her cushy, … cushy, highly paid position, and he intends to tell her exactly what he thinks about it.
But when he gets to her place, he comes to realize he might not know Piper as well as he thought he had.

This book could have been so much better if the author took more time developing her characters and her storyline.
An easy to read, entertaining story from start to finish.
For a quick holiday romance with the boss you love to hate until the happy ending.
If you like reading love/hate, boss/employee tropes all packed up in a short-ish, feel-good package, it’s almost guaranteed you will like this book! If anything, I wanted it to be a little longer, and create a stronger bond between the main characters. It’s very sweet story of a romance that starts between a single mom, Piper, and her boss, Bennett, or, as she likes to call him, Scrooge McF*ck. Now, Ben is a real prick at the beginning, and there were a few points at which I rolled my eyes. But, in a way, all of it brought necessary antagonism to the story, some intensity to the love/hate relationship. It’s not so much a sexy book – there’s only one sex scene nearing the end – and in this instance, I must say it was the right way. I loved Maya, the child, who definitely brought out Ben’s softer side.
All in all, this is just one of those feel-good story you need when you feel down! You will not regret picking it up.
fun read
Another quick read. Enjoyed the characters and found myself smiling. I like a good steamy romance.
My new favorite romantic author!
This was a really great read it was well written and I loved the characters and the chemistry between them the only reason I am giving it 3 stars is because I felt like it just kinda cuts off at the end and leaves you hanging I mean you do get an HEA but I feel like it could have kept going.
Loved this book, had a great twist to what you thought would happen.
The plot was predictable and the romance was way too fast. It’s like one minute they hated each other and the next chapter they were all over each other. His parents liked her from the beginning and he had a different opinion. She gets sick and he is the one to come rescue her and basically funds her life after that which seems funny cause she was so independent.
Liked how the male main character turned out to be unexpectedly caring. Love when kids are involved in romances.
I didn’t care for this book, as a matter of fact I couldn’t finish it. Just couldn’t keep my interest
This is one of those book that you should never judge my the title. It’s more of a love story, so if you thought that you are getting a racy book think again.
I was hesitant to read the book because of its title, but it really was a good read and not what the title hinted.
I loved the banter! I enjoy characters that are witty and snarky. Good read!
I liked this one very much.
Great “little” story. I wish there had been more at the end. Yes, you knew the end, but you wanted more details. Cute, relaxing, funny story for those moments when you need something relaxing.
Fun!!!!
It’s good to see characters who know what they want, and the issues weren’t repetitive. I liked it.
Funny, not what I expected from a rich guy
