Piper Stone’s hunky, rude, entitled, Scrooge of a boss is pushing her buttons every day, but he’s taken it too far, this time. Saying she couldn’t take the holidays off was one thing; preventing her to go home to her sick child? Not happening. She has zero regrets when she resigns. Bennet McFinnley can’t believe his annoyingly perfect personal assistant has actually resigned from her cushy, … cushy, highly paid position, and he intends to tell her exactly what he thinks about it.
But when he gets to her place, he comes to realize he might not know Piper as well as he thought he had.

Bennet has nothing on Scrooge when it comes down to harassing Piper. Piper is just getting back on her feet after her husband cleaned out their bank account leaving her penniless and with a child. Her saving grace was getting a job under Bennet’s father but he did not like the idea of Piper as his PA. When he found out about everything all Piper he was ashamed of himself and vowed to get things right but is it too little too late to have his happily ever after with the woman that has become the forefront of all his dreams?
Scrooge Mc%*#k – May Sage – It really is problematic reading books with titles I wouldn’t say out loud, but this series has been really great so far! Piper’s boss is Ben McFinney, but she and her six year old Maya have nicknames for him: Ben McFuck and Ebenezer McFinney. Which condenses hilariously into the title. When Piper asks her jerk of a boss to leave work early right before Christmas for an emergency, Ben tells her no. So she does what any mom with a sick kid and no support system has to do, she quits and goes to rescue her kid! Three days later when she doesn’t come back to the office, Ben realizes that she was serious about quitting, and goes to see her at home to convince her to come back to work. He finds Maya recovered from the flu, but Piper down for the count. After sweeping them back to his much less sketchy apartment, Ben realizes that what he really wants for Christmas is this precious family. And Mr. Scrooge goes in search of the separated sperm donor to get him to sign the divorce papers and give up rights to Maya, but will he have the courage to go after his girls when he sends them on a dream trip to North Pole, Alaska to meet Santa? Let’s hope! Happy Reading!
It wasn’t a bad but but it didn’t excite me either. I enjoyed reading it but I wasn’t anxiously awaiting the time that I could get back to reading it. This is my first book by this author and I’m open to reading other books in the series. Until next time y’all happy reading.
Let’s be honest this series is just short, fast reads to unwind with.
There is no need for negative reviews and reading too much into them. They are not pretending being something they are not. I had fun reading them and I was not annoyed by their plot or moral issues.
This second book was not as good as the first one but it still helped me relax.
3,5 stars
Just like the first story ‘Shy girls write it better’ this also was a quick, light, fun read (novella length). You don’t have to read the first story to read this one. It can be read as a standalone. If you liked the first book you will this like one too, it had the same vibe to it. The story was well developed for a short story but again I would have liked another scene or chapter at the end (= an epilogue).
I liked Piper’s character and her daughter Maya was so cute. Bennet went from grumpy boss to helpful friend. I liked his change.
‘Scrooge McFuck’ was an entertaining, light short read.
Good read
Loved it
This story had potential and fell short. Not enough character development. Storylines left untouched. I also find it annoying when authors use British slang in a NY set book.
A fun quick read that made me happy
Just a bit inrealustic

Not much steam, but still a great read!
Just what I wanted.
