Second chance romance? Like hell, and definitely not with the girl next door.Dane Moon is the troublemaker of the family, and his latest screw-up was marrying a Vegas stripper. Or was it that she married the male dancer? Either way, that chapter of his life’s over, along with the marriage. He’s back in Montana on the family homestead, attempting to pick up the broken pieces of his past, present … past, present and future.
When vet assistant Bella Peterson finds a drunk guy passed out in her hay bale, she isn’t surprised it’s Dane Moon. The panty-melting bad boy next door has a reputation for being the life of the party for a reason, and he isn’t fooling anybody into believing he’s here to help his brothers rescue the Moon Ranch. Any torch Bella used to carry for the rough and tumble cowboy has been long extinguished—at least till he throws that crooked smile her way again.
Wanting Bella and wanting to be a better man go together like boots and hats, and maybe it’s time Dane cleans up his act. But Bella’s got every vet in the state offering her big bucks to leave, and he doesn’t want another ex-wife anyhow. Even if the sexy jerk could shuck his old ways, a hot roll in the hay with Dane won’t be enough, and she can’t handle more false promises—she wants it all or nothin’.

Book two in the Moon Ranch series, a well written story with a very good storyline. Dane Moon comes back to Moon Ranch after he gets himself in trouble in Vegas and his wife divorces him. But he can not even come back to the Ranch without getting drunk and ending up at the wrong place. Veterinarian Brennah Peterson finds him in her barn the next morning. This story had me laughing, there is suspense, drama, danger, twists, turns, villains, theft, action, and a second chance romance. I want to read the next book, this series gets better with each new story. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
Dane
This is the second book in the “Moon Ranch” series. I suggest that you read them in order as this will help explain the family dynamics a little better. This story revolves around Dane. In the beginning, Dane has no redeeming qualities. He’s actually his own worst enemy. Can he turn his life around? With a little luck and the love of good woman, anything possible.

This is the second book in this series and just as hot!!! Two people who need to leave the past behind in order to have a future. Totally lost in the pages from the get go!!!! Once again, Em Petrova has rocked my world with another amazing read!!
He’s a mess.
Certifiable, Dane Moon does not have his S together. At all, not even remotely. He’s married to Liz, a stripper in Vegas. He’s poor, is a male dancer who has a serious gambling habit.
He goes home and ends up passed out in Brennah’s barn. She had a crush on him in high school and is just way to understanding and forgiving of his many sins. She’s way too good for him.
What I liked?
Great writing and messy characters (Dane). Plenty of steam.
But zero time passes from his split with Liz
(and I never got that they were divorced).
Excellent bad boy redemption story. Lots of drama and past to overcome. Action, emotional drama and steamy romance make this a story you won’t want to miss.
Brennah has had a crush on Dane since High School – now here he is past out in her barn – and way too heavy to move all by herself – ok – then the rough road starts – you gotta read it to find out any more info!!

A deep emotional tale.
What an excellent read I so enjoyed this book by Em Pentrova. Loved Dane a bad boy after my own heart and Brennah is a sweetheart. It is true you cannot change a person but when that person wants to change all bets are off. The author did a splendid job showing all the demons that Dane had in his life and when it bad it was really bad. Then looking at it a different way when things are good well you have steamy times ahead. If you are looking for a book with high emotions and a kick — story then this is the one to pick up. I did receive a free copy of this book and voluntarily chose to review it.
Another Moon brother has to come to terms with his past and chosen to make a different future. I love that they fall hard and after some head knocking, Dane knows he can’t let Brennah go.
Dane was vulnerable when he finally admitted his feeling and asked for help. When he spoke to Esme about it, it brought out a side you didn’t see often and that made him more intriguing.
There are some hard conversations here and pasts that are not so pretty. But I love that Esme and then Dane, choose to move past it. It’s hard coming to terms with the hand you were dealt in terms of upbringing but I love Mimi and her support. We have some mystery or suspense in this one as well that gives it a little more action but that has you smiling.
I can’t wait to see what’s in store for Asher.

This is the second book about the Moon brothers and I enjoyed this one more than the first book. Dane is the youngest brother and has messed things up royally. Brennah is a straight laced veterinarian trying to make it on her own. The two get off on the wrong foot and Dane manages to make things right. There are some laugh out loud moments and plenty of steam.

Dane has come home to start anew, leaving Vegas behind along with his ex, and his bad habits. But changing people’s opinions are harder than you realize and makes Danes fresh start much harder. Brennah is determined and still has a soft spot for Dane, ignoring the rumors is hard but one thing she is known for is her determination and the romantic relationship building between them is one she is bound to not let go. The characters are engaging and the story draws you in. Loved it.

Em Petrova delivered a fun filled read with this book. Loved the characters and the story. It was a nice entertaining read that I didn’t put down until I had finished the book.

At the start, I wasn’t a fan of Dane Moon. I thought he was weak, with his bad decisions and lack of direction. But, his character arc is both profound and believable, and I was really rooting for his and Brennah’s love.
And oh boy, did they love it up. So so hot; in the barn, in the field, with a little rope… phew.
I would definitely recommend this book.
This story is the second story about the Moon brothers. And it is just ad fine as the first story was. It is long enough for all the plots necessary to develop and unfurl regarding their sorry way of being raised and their drunkard and dead dad. Overall a good story with a good storyline and fine characters. A story well deserving of the fine four stars I am giving it here.

The second book in Em Petrova’s Moon Ranch tackles the ongoing issues of three brothers returning to the family homestead after the death of their abusive father. In Tough and Tamed, Zayden defied all odds, and discovered that he actually adored this land and found his forever love while battling his conflicting emotions.
But in Screwed and Satisfied, middle brother Dane, has returned home burdened by a failed marriage, bad decisions, and the very real possibility that a chain of nefarious events are due to his presence. Forced to hide this knowledge to protect the ones he loves, Dane is determined to be a better man and show his older brother and the woman who has captured his every waking thought, that Dane Moon is someone worth loving.
This story is a rollercoaster ride of fear, doubt, emotive turmoil, and combustible sex. I really liked Dane’s character and Brennah was his perfect match; and while both had emotional baggage from their turbulent childhoods, their connection was never in question and as much as Brennah had issues with trust, she always believed that Dane would protect and support her through good and bad.
Dane and Brennah’s story highlighted the need for open communication, facing your past, and defeating your demons. A fabulous, heartfelt and sizzling hot romance, with a wonderful family element and some unexpected danger that sees all three Moon brothers together at the end. I can’t wait to read the final book in this trilogy and discover what the mysterious Asher has been hiding.
Having signed divorce papers, beaten up and truck taken by guys sent to collect on his gambling debt, Dane Moon leaves Vegas to return to Moon Ranch. At the time getting drunk seemed like a good idea since he was going to visit his old man’s grave first. Turns out that probably wasn’t the best one.
Veterinarian Brennah Peterson bought the ranch neighboring the Moon’s. She doesn’t have time for a drunk cowboy sleeping in her barn. When cold water in his face doesn’t work she ties him to her tractor and pulls him out of the barn, to no avail. In a last ditch effort before calling his brother she manages to rouse him by calling his name and shaking him. Leading up to dunking him in the water trough.
Now things aren’t going to be easy for Dane, he has to prove to his brother Zayden, that he isn’t like his father. He had to become a better man than he is at the moment.
When Zayden’s tractor is taken, Dane is afraid it’s his fault but a fire in the field stops him from telling anyone. This is where things start to get interesting with him and Brennah.
Plenty of twists and turns, sizzling heat, and more than one surprise.
The emotional intensity of this book blew me away!
So, right from the start Dane is no one’s idea of a hero. He’s still fighting the demons of his childhood, which puts him on the road back to his hometown simply for lack of an alternative. Once there, he’s got a lot to prove, not only to the townspeople and his brother, but mostly to himself. But first, he manages to confront his father and exhibit the same exact lack of respect for a particular law that his brother did at the beginning of the first book in this series. Clearly, it’s a family trait. It’s a brilliant way of establishing all that he’s having to work through and tying him to his older brother at the same time.
The scene where he meets Brennah was hilarious and poignant at the same time. Her inventive use of her tractor was exactly what he needed at the time! They certainly were off to a rough start, but Dane was having a rough start everywhere for a while. I loved that the author didn’t rush his redemption, showing that time was the only way to test and prove his new direction in life.
This author’s talent really shines when establishing and igniting the fierce attraction between Brennah and Dane. Their intense physical connection was imbued with powerful emotions yet tempered with respect and restraint. When Dane starts articulating what he sees in Brennah, there’s not a woman alive who could resist his charms.
Brennah is a delightful heroine, strong and independent yet not afraid to let Dane take control when necessary. Dane learns to be his own brand of hero by following his instincts and becoming the man Brennah needs him to be. More of the Moon family history is explored and explained, and the book combines Dane and Brennah’s HEA with an introduction to the last brother, setting the stage for the next book in this series.
I’ll admit I wasn’t eager to fall for Dane at the beginning of the book, but his transformation was believable and he soon won my heart. This is a wonderful bad boy redemption story, and I highly recommend it for readers who enjoy contemporary cowboy romances. I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book.
4.5***** stars. Dane is the youngest and wildest Moon brother. He’s back on the ranch when life in Vegas starts circling the drain. He has some drinking issues he needs to address if he wants to get anywhere with Brennah, the veterinarian. Not all the town residents believe that the irresponsible Moon boys have turned over a new leaf so they are not very welcoming. Dane is next in line to prove it if he plans on living there long term. Another episode where trouble finds them and they are still paying for their father’s sins. Well written and a good read. I think this might be the last in this series. Can’t wait to see what’s coming next.

Being a Moon 4 ½ stars – This book has two characters who are perfect for each other. Dane and Brennah’s backgrounds are very similar. They had a very difficult childhood to the point of neglect and abuse. They are both resilient and that’s what you’d like about this story. Well, it also has scorching sex scenes. [I received an advanced copy of this book and voluntarily chose to review it.]
I really enjoyed this romance. Dane and Brennah were such an incredible couple. I thought that these two were genuine and relatable. I loved them flaws, baggage and all. Their chemistry was intense and hot! The story line was interesting and engaging. I was quickly swept up into this tale and fiercely rooting for this pair. A entertaining blend of emotion, drama and steam is woven through this simply wonderful read.
These Moon boys are determined to mess up their lives, that is until their soul mates show up. Dane never expected to find someone who loves him even though he’s a Moon, but when she comes around, she’s all he can think of, even when all the danger is around. He only wants to keep her safe and right the wrongs of his past and make a better life for her. Can’t wait for Asher’s story!
