Another great read by Linda Coles!! Having read all of the books so far in the series this happens to be a great one and top of the best ones of them all. Having 2 cases running together has been awesome. They were both executes soundly and not mixed up with one another. Love this book. Thanks for the great reads! Look forward to many more books written by Linda Coles. Looking forward to all Linda has to offer in future books. Now added to my Favorite Author list.
It´s amazing what the human brain can do when using technology – for the good and for the bad! In this book although with a large dose of black humor, we see technology being used at its worst to hurt, steal, deceive and kill. The book also covers how normal people get attracted and addicted to pain killers and how these drugs affects and destroys families. A good thriller with a large dose of family drama.
All is well except it’s so scary how they pin the murder on an. Innocent. What a read with all the thinking the murderer put into this. But you have to get the coroner’s open. What a turnoff events. Excellent read and one to follow. Read carefully if you want to keep up.
Fun to see how they all work together (except Jackson) to solve the crimes. Like the English places and characters.

Enjoyed this mystery. Liked how Jack was able to solve the so called auto accident and clear and old case as well. Was a little unsettled by the ending.
It was a little long, but a good story with an ending nicely wrapped up. I hate to invest time in a book, only to be left hanging in the end. This one did not disappoint!
Ended too soon.
The ending left me with a few questions rather than a sense of closure.
The story of Jack Rutherford’s and Amanda Lacey’s partnership continues in this police procedural. The primary crime seems to be intertwined with history and it takes Jack some time to tease out the truth, while Amanda is sidetracked by a past crime that hits too close to home.
This book seemed disjointed- did not flow. Too many side stories.
Ok police procedural, but a bit flat. The story is intriguing but somewhat linear and predictable. No districting typo or other technical problems.
I didn’t like this book because it moved too slowly. It became boring and not finally gave up on it.
It was okay. Nothing to write home about but an easy read – probably a 3 1/2.
I liked the references to the cold case and how it lined up. Couldn’t put it down.
Two cases that were solved and then a third plot that felt unnecessary. I assume it was wrapping up a storyline from a previous book in the series but it felt like it was thrown in as filler. And not very well explained either. Didn’t love the book but also didn’t hate it. Not interested in continuing the series.
