He did ten years for me. Now he’s free. This is supposed to be happy ever after, so why does it feel like disaster?CristaScrap Allenbach is a living legend to the Steel Bones MC. A vigilante hero. Ten years ago, he gave up his freedom for me. I never asked him to. Now he’s back, with some idea about how it’s gonna be. He’s wrong. Things are different now. I’m not the same girl he knew. After … the same girl he knew. After what happened, I’ll never be that person again. Not with the baggage I carry and the secrets I keep.
Scrap
I’ve waited ten years to make Crista Holt mine. I came back expecting to claim the girl I fell in love with, but that girl is gone. I hardly recognize the woman in front of me now. She thinks I’ll give up, walk away, but I’m not that kind of man. She’s been mine since the moment I laid eyes on her, and I don’t give up what’s mine. All I need is time, and she’ll see how it is.
But when the past rises up and old enemies ride again, we’re out of time, and it might not be ghosts from the past that destroy our future. It might be the secrets between us.
Scrap is a 58,000-word motorcycle club romance. It’s the third book in the Steel Bones Motorcycle Club series, but it takes place at the same time as Nickel’s Story, and it can be read out of order. This novel is intended for adult readers (18+) due to violence, triggers, strong language, and explicit intimate scenes.
WARNING: This novel contains graphic details of a violent crime.
Standalone. Safe. HEA.

Disclaimer: do not start this book if you have any plans for productivity, a job to get to in the morning or any other responsibilities that require your attention. If you ignore this warning, you will have an irritated boss, family, friends as you ignore them all for Scrap. Disclaimer #2: this book ripped my heart out, stomped on it and then glued it back together. I am so in love with this book and this series that I am almost without words, it is that freaking good! I don’t want to get into a synopsis, you just need to read it. If you love MC romances, if you love strong guys who love with their whole heart, if you can take some bitter with the sweet then you need to get your hands on Scrap. I thought no one could top Nickel and his old lady but Crista and Scrap took the number one spot! I haven’t stopped thinking about these two and they deserve all the stars. I am now a complete and utter fan for the talented Cate C Wells!
The main point of this beautiful story is not to give up hope. Scrap ended up killing the man who hurt Crista and ended up in jail where he couldn’t help her. His lightbulb moment was when he realized that he had killed the man because he had given up hope she would live. She ended up living ten years in hell with people who loved her but didn’t know how to help her, until he came back. Beautiful, haunting story.
… throughout the series, Christa is in the background, working the bar, wearing baggy clothes and saying as little as possible. Then there’s the wee eggs ‘what happened to Christa’ ‘shes been through hell’ and then we hear of Scrap who is serving 10 years for a crime he committed for Christa – but that’s it! That’s all we’re told! And me being me has been itching to get to their book!
Well damn, didn’t my heart get shredded yet-a-effing-gain!!!
I’m saying nothing else about the storyline, those wee Easter eggs? That’s all your getting but be prepared!
An excellent excellent excellent read
5 Scrap Stars
Scrap is the third book in this amazing series by Cate C Wells.
Scrap has done ten years for the women he loves. All he wants when he walks out of prison is to see her face. His brothers have been looking out for her while he was away so he is hoping the past is in the past. But the women he sees is not the women he left behind.
Crista has had the most unthinkable things done to her. Things that give her nightmares and means she will never have a normal life. She also has secrets that no one will ever know about.
Can these two ever put the past behind them for love?!
This book had all the feels and I ached for Crista. I loved this book and read it in one sitting. I highly recommend it.
I am so in love with this series. I honestly don’t know how I sat on it for so long. If you’re looking for a gritty MC read with a hot alpha and his lady love who gives just the perfect amount of sass to keep him in line, then this is for you! Each book is a standalone and you don’t really need to read them in order to appreciate each one, but I think it’s best if you do. The author does a fantastic job of reintroducing you to the club members and supporting characters who show up in each book, so you’ll never be lost as far as who is who, but in order to develop a relationship with them, I think it’s best to read them all in order. The writing in this is very good and I found myself wanting to know what was around every single corner…so I definitely didn’t want the story to end. I can’t wait to see what’s to come in the next few books in the series.

Loved the book it was great, the story was well written and the characters were interesting. Once I started I could not get enough from start to finish. You get emotional reading what happened to Crista, she had a really bad life at sixteen yrs old the club was the only life she new until something happened that changed the life of Crista and Scrap they both really liked each other, Scrape went to jail. Ten yrs later Scrap gets released from jail and now it is time to claim Crista. The action, the depression, the tragedy, heartache, and a lot more emotions that run wild.
Thank you for you allowing me to review your book.

They both have been in prison for the last ten years……….but only one had physical bars
Scrap and Christa have a complicated history. Ten years ago Christa was attacked and Scrap went after the man that did it and killed him. He then was sentenced and did ten years of prison time. While he is in prison he only thought was of Christa and making her his when he got out, which is his plan. But during the last ten years Christa has become someone different. She did not get counseling after the attack and has suffered from severe PTSD. She has definitely changed and Scrap realizes that he is going to have to make her feel safe and loved in order to deal with what happened to her.
This story definitely has some very tender and caring moments to it. But there were things that I did not understand at all. If the rest of the club was supposed to be looking out for her then why did no one realize what she was going through and get her help. But the way Scrap is with her is great and the way he will do anything to help her is sweet, but not sappy. This is a well written story with a solid and interesting story-line and some wonderful characters. I just has a hard time with some of the premise to the story.
I received a free ARC of this book in exchange for my honest review. My opinions are all my own.
I could not put this book down, OMG. I read it in one sitting. This is an emotionally well written book that will suck you in and not let you loose. It has tragedy, heartache, romance, action, drama and of course the happily ever after. The characters are exceptionally crafted with flaws, realism, and grow throughout the story. You feel as if you know them and feel their feelings. I am going to have to go back and read the other books in this series and watch for the Authors other books. A must read

This is Crista and Scrap’s story; Scrap has waited for a long 10 years to be with Crista and he’s not letting go now despite what Crista may think. There is a lot of emotion in this story. Reading this book was a great way to spend a sleepless night.

A wonderful read. Full of twists and turns. He loves her and will do whatever to protect her. She feel that she owes him but what she doesn’t realize is that she;s his no matter what. Excellent read.
I’d like to thank Enticing Journey for sending me an e-arc of this book it is very much appreciated. I had never heard of this author but the description drew me to this book and oh my god I am so glad I clicked to review this book because I went through a range of emotions reading this and my heart is all over the place. One thing is for sure is that I will be reading more from this author.
Christa I really liked her, from the moment we meet her you can tell that she has got walls up and for good reason. What she went through was absolutely horrendous I liked how the author revealed that to us as readers and it was little bits at the time throughout the story and I really liked that. Although every time we learnt about about what happened it felt soul destroying.
Scrap, I love him. From the moment we see him in this book, damn man is described as juicy, well also insanely hot. I really liked his character and what he did for Christa. I was glad that he didn’t hold any resentment towards her and in fact all he wanted was Christa. I was glad that he didn’t want to give up on her and he was just wanting to purse her.
I really liked their relationship it was completely raw between them and their relationship felt totally real working together on the trauma that she went through and finally working through it to be able to live again rather than just existing. They were so perfect together, I love that they could reminisce about when he used to pick her up from school and that they both did like each other back then.
I have a new favourite quote from this book:
He doesn’t guard anything but his food dish”
Christa says this talking about her dog Frances and oh my good, mood. My dog is the exact same I don’t think she’d guard anything but her food bowl. I really liked the dog being in the book and that she was using it partly to help her with her issues but as company too.
I really enjoyed the writing of this book I will definetely be reading more of Cate C. Wells’ books because I really enjoyed this, it was nicely written. This book destroyed me and gave me all the feels and I really cannot wait to dive into this world again.
Scrap as a plan and he will get his hea. Crista has the most horrible event ever and it sent Scrap up state for ten years. Now that he is back he wants her but she isn’t sure if she can be that for him. She doesn’t know he will wait and help her to be herself again plus his women.
Scrap and Christa had a past in common. He was in jail because of something that happened to Christa. Now Scrap is out and joining his brothers in the mc and determined to have Christa as his woman. Christa has changed from the girl she was before into the strong woman she is now. Will Christa let Scrap in? Will Ghosts from the past keep them from having a future? A good mc read.

This is the 3rd book in this amazing series and is Scrap and Crista’s story. After Crista survived a life changing and horrific attack, she is a shell of the woman she used to be and has been left suffering from PTSD. Scrap went to prison for 10 years for dishing out revenge, and now he is home he is determined to push Crista’s boundaries in order to make her stronger and face her demons head on. This is a well written story which is an emotional roller coaster journey throughout, as well as being raw, gritty, heartbreaking, and with secrets and love. I was hooked and intrigued throughout this addictive page turner and look forward to reading more from this talented author.
4.5 Stars
This is the first book I have read by this author and it won’t be the last. The characters are well developed and the storyline is intriguing and captivating. Scrap is now out of prison for doing 10 years for murder in defense of his girl. When Scrap happened upon the scene it was truly horrific and he left to go hunt down the perpetrator. Crista is drowning in a room full of people. She is suffering from PTSD and causes a “scene” when she is triggered. Will Scrap be ok with this “new” version of his girl? Will Crista let him in enough to even have a relationship?
The only criticism, and it’s a minor one, I didn’t like how the characters referred to other characters by their whole name. When it came to the last chapter and Crista and Scrap were still referring to each other by their whole names just come on!! They knew each other. I can see when you are being introduced to a new character, but not in the last chapter and throughout the story. That’s all I am going to say on the topic *climbing down off of my soap box*. I can’t wait for the next installment of this series!!
I love this series. The story doesn’t give you all the nitty gritty background up front. You slowly learn the story as if you are there with the characters. It pulls you in and you can’t put it down because you want to know the whole story. Can’t wait for the next one!

Scrap is a really sweet and often times a difficult story to read, mainly due to what the characters have been through. Scrap Allenbach is a legend in the Steel Bones MC after spending ten years in jail after being a vigilante hero for Crista Holt. Crista has been through the worst thing imaginable and she is still struggling with living her life and being her best self. Everything changes when Scrap is released from prison, but is Crista strong enough to handle what Scrap wants to give her?
This was a beautifully written story about tragedy, PDST and sheer perseverance from both characters. Scrap was a wonderful character to read about and you could see how much he cared for Crista and just loved her for so long, even with her scars. Crista’s story was heart-breaking as was (I feel) the lack of understanding and how the rest of the MC family treated her, apart from her sister. It seemed as though even though Crista had suffered something horrific, they just wanted her to deal with it and move on even though she seemed to have daily reminders of what had happened to her.
The chemistry between the two was wonderful and the slow burn and honesty that both characters had about their relationship was refreshing. You feel the emotion, pain and even happiness that these characters feel and are going through with each page that you turn. This is definitely a must read for all MC fans.
ARC received for a fair and honest review.
