There is no playbook for situations like this.

Enough plot twists to keep you looking and reading.
Good story of this genre that felt fresh and real. Well written, and enjoyable. I will happily read more of any follow up stories, as there were plenty of interesting characters to get to know better.
Just loved the way Mikah owned up to being a father and the way Paisley willing helped him. They fell in love so easily once meeting when Angelo’s mother (Angels) dropped the baby off on Mikah’s doorstep. This is a great romance book. I liked the way Mikah, being from Denmark, was not totally in to the US figurative language but was trying. He sounded so cute.
Very predictable and not very original.
I have really enjoyed this series, buying the next one every time I finish the current one.
loved it
Great romance story
I loved this book! It brought back memories of the incredible feelings a baby brings to the heart of a parent, and the brutal fact that they don’t come with instructions! Fortunately, the beautiful characters in this story provide care, love, and moral support for this scared-to-death daddy and his son. A steamy romance with a beautiful HEA!
The story of a baby left on the door step – who could pass that up??? Having 2 kids of my own, the author was great showing how inept a new parent can be. It was a cute read.
This was fantastic! I really enjoyed the first book in the Ice King series so I was pretty eager to get started with this second installment. I ended up enjoying this book even more than the first. This was one of those audiobooks that I found incredibly hard to put down. I thought that this was a really delightful story from beginning to end.
Mikah and Paisley were great characters. I loved the fact that they had admired each other but hadn’t actually met until the start of this story. Mikah has bigger problems to deal with in this story than hockey, namely the baby that was left on his doorstep. He was unsure at first but Paisley was right there to help and reassure him. I just loved Mikah and thought it was wonderful to see him embrace caring for his son.
Meg Price and James Cassidy did a fantastic time with the narration of this book. I have no idea whether Mikah’s accent was authentic but to my untrained ears, I thought that it added a nice element to the story. I really thought that both of these narrators did a great job bringing the characters to life and I really enjoyed the fact that they were able to add a lot of emotion into their reading.
I would definitely recommend this book to romance fans. I thought that this was a very well done romance with characters I couldn’t wait to see fall for each other. I cannot wait to read more of this great series!
I received a digital audiobook review copy of this book from Spectrum Audiobooks via NetGalley.
This is the second book in the Ice Kings Series. You can listen to this story as a standalone. This is a beautiful, sweet, and sexy Single Dad’s Romance. I love the characters. Mikah is handsome and caring. Paisley is beautiful and supportive. I love Stacey Lynn’s writing. Meg Price and James Cassidy did a wonderful job with the narration.
If a baby was left on your doorstep, what would you do? Micah, a professional hockey player, lives for hockey and doesn’t have time for anything else in his life. However, when a baby is left at his door, he has to rethink his priorities. I liked Micah and admired how responsible and dedicated he was to being a good father. He is a nice guy but he does carry some baggage from his childhood. Micah doesn’t have time for a relationship, but there is something about Paisley that calls to him.
Paisley is Micah’s neighbor and she is not only good with kids, she is also bighearted. She shows up in Micah’s life just when he needs her and they have a lot of chemistry and make a great couple. I loved reading their story and wanted them to get their HEA.
I enjoyed this charming hockey story filled with colorful characters. Micah is close to his teammates. They are his family and they rally around him when he needs help. All the guys on the teams and their wives and girlfriends are all entertaining and fun and add to the story.
Scoring off the Ice
Ice Kings
By: Stacey Lynn
Narrated by: Meg Price, James Cassidy
GOAAALLLLL!!! That is what Stacey Lynn has scored with this story. I love her writing and this one especially caught my ears. Mikah is living the dream. A successful hockey player from Denmark, he is playing well and now able to live a little. Now the surprise comes on his doorstep and he is no way ready for it. A baby!!!! Lucky for him, his neighbor, Paisley is there to help him out. But now the real responsibility comes, and he has to make decisions, and adjust to fatherhood. With Paisley at his side, things are easy, but will she always be there? I was laughing out loud at some of the scenes Mikah went through. Stacey Lynn nails this character, both with humor and love. There are a lot of wonderful things about this story, from the teammates to the nanny, but what I truly loved was the inexperience from a male perspective. It’s refreshing and fun. Plus having such a manly character with a baby just melts my heart. Add in Paisley who is an amazing woman and partner and Lynn has a winning team.
Narrated by Meg Price and James Cassidy, we have magic. Price brings Paisley to life with her voice. She is confident and you can feel the mother gene come through as Paisley takes on the role. Cassidy, with his accent is swoon worthy. He adds a bit of innocence to Mikah that makes him lovable. This is a great team and together they enhanced the story.

Its heartwarming, heartbreaking, sexy, and intriguing. A surprise, secret baby romance done right. I just floved Mikah so hard, he just melted my heart. And Paisley is so kind and sweet. I loved these two together, the sexual tension between them is combustible. I loved that Mikah was the inexperienced one, despite that, he definitely seemed to know what he was doing and boy did he do it right. (*fans self*) And I fell in love with little Angelo. The narrators did an amazing job and I really enjoyed how they brought these characters to life. This read/listen is definitely my favorite from this author so far. Definitely a #needtoreadit and #mustlisten !!!

Scoring off the Ice
Ice Kings
By: Stacey Lynn
Narrated by: Meg Price, James Cassidy
Stacey Lynn delivers another terrific sports romance novel in her “Ice Kings” series and it is a winner. The story is both enjoyable and entertaining, it grabbed my attention right from the start and held it straight to the end. The characters are realistic, likable and easy to connect with, Micah Lutzgo played ice hockey since he was a young boy, his father pushed him to become the best, it was his dream of be play on US hockey team, that reality became Micah’s. Micah came to the US all by himself, he acclimated well to his new team and location. Knowing of his innocence and lack of experience with women, his teammates hooked him up with one the puck bunnies, Angela. It was a birthday gift that turned in to a baby left at his door the following year, with a note that he was all his. Paisley has lived across the hall from Mikah, she always admired his good looks from a distance. She finally gets to meet him when she hears noises in the hall and looks out to see a baby was left in front of his door. Their first meeting was hysterical, Mikah was completely out of his element, it was a great scene. Luckily Paisley has experience with babies and knows what to do. I thought these two were great together and for each other. The camaraderie amongst the team is great, it was awesome how supportive they were and how they came to help. I loved how everything plays out in this book, the story is nicely plotted and there is never a dull moment. There is plenty of drama, just a touch of angst in the form of the babies mother, some heartfelt and emotional moments and a wonderful slow burn. Stacey Lynn, thank you for another great story!
I listened to the Audible edition, Meg Price and James Cassidy are talented narrators and voice artists. They bring the character to life, giving each their own voice and personality. They do an amazing job portraying the characters, completely grasping their persona and playing the role to a tee. James Cassidy’s Mikah was perfection, his accent was spot on and you could hear his innocence and naivety in his performance. Meg Price’s Paisley was perfection too, sounding just as I pictured her to sound. They are entertaining storytellers and a pleasure to listen to, Thank you for this fantastic listen

Audio Review: Scoring Off The Ice
Ice Kings Book 2
by Stacey Lynn
Narrated by Meg Price, James Cassidy
Lynn sets a gold standard when it comes to going audio. Price and Cassidy bring a versatility to characters that can at times be a bit one-sided. With humor and heart Lynn and company set a course for delight city and score the winning goal.
This is the first book that I have read/listened to from this author and I thought it was an ok story. A secret baby romance. He had a one weekend stand which resulted in a baby being left at his door. His neighbor helps out with the baby and a relationship starts. Good chemistry between them. These narrators were new to me and they were ok.
This one was a lot of fun. Neighbors brought together by a baby left in the hallway. Paisley has been spying on her hot neighbor and trying to figure out how to meet him when she hears a cry that turns to a scream and when she investigates she finds a baby in a car seat outside her neighbor’s door. Knocking and then pounding he finally answers with a towel wrapped around his waist straight from the shower still dripping wet. Yeah, that is a great way to meet your neighbor. He is the hot hockey star who had a wild weekend to lose his virginity and BAM makes a baby (go figure) and crazy mom leaves baby on his doorstep. Paisley is a grad student staying in her uncle’s condo while finishing school and doesn’t know who he is or anything about sports (or care about sports). Perfect for each other and instant chemistry these two are a breath of fresh air and make this story not only fun but light and sexy at the same time. I had this in audio and the narrators were great!
In a single moment Mikah’s priority went from Hockey pro to father of a baby he knew nothing about. With the help of his neighbor Paisley he learns the balance between job and family. But will Paisley only be there because of his son? Or will her affection for Mikah only make the relationship stronger. Great characters, great storyline and a perfect addition in the series.
Paisley and Mikah are both sweet characters and they are very well matched. Their story is hilarious, multiple laugh out loud moments provided me with some much needed comic relief. His teammates are a great supportive family. The baby mother’s drama, though expected, it seemed to play out in an odd way. Pulled a late nighter with this one, just couldn’t stop until the end. Looking forward to reading more about the other single Ice King players. I received a free copy of this audiobook via NetGalley and am voluntarily leaving a review. The male narrator was 5* super sexy voice and the female narrator was 4*.
