Here’s a tip: never underestimate romance.Falling in love was the furthest thing from my mind. I’m a single mother raising a strong little boy, and he is my one and only priority.The universe felt otherwise, sending me—actually, my son’s soccer ball—hurdling toward a stunningly handsome, perfect man, who said all the right things. He made it hard to ignore how much I missed romance. In the past, … romance.
In the past, when I met a man, they ran as soon as they heard I was a widow with a child. Not this guy. No, he fell in love with my son, and in turn, my son fell in love with him. But it was hard to believe he felt the same about me. My job was to be the strong one―to protect our hearts from sweet dreams that never lasted.
~~~
Women told me I was a master of romance. They were right. I knew how to sweep a woman off her feet, to make her feel special, and good in all the right places. I wasn’t a saint. I’ve had my share of one-night stands. They served their purpose, giving me a steady diet of romance without the hassle of commitment.
Then one day at the park, a soccer ball came careening toward my head, and my life changed in an instant. I never imagined that true love would come in the form of a five-year-old little boy. And then I got to know his mother: She was strong, independent, drop-dead gorgeous, and someone I desired – I just needed to prove it to her.
She called me Mr. Romeo, and that was fine with me.
Lesson learned: Love always trumps everything.
Loved it! I’ve loved all 3 in the series!
First I have to say each book in this series gets better and better. I so love the co-writing from these two amazing writers. I am so in Love with Luca, he is sexy, smart and Italian, what more can I say. Well he never wanted to settle down but after seeing his two best friends fine their love ones , he was rethinking that. Sabrina was making a life for her and her little boy and all was good till a chance meeting with a Sex God at her son’s school, Luca is about to turn her world upside down. This story is so, so good and little Mikey he is just to adorable. Get ready for Luca to romance your panties off.
Romeo oh Romeo.. where are you?? where have you been??
Sabrina who is a single Mom with a cute 5 year old son… to find love again or just to date isnt something so easily done…
Luca is the hottest bachelor…what a dreamy man… who doesnt love Luca? he is the man that every parents want their daughter to date…
this is a sweet romance.. its sweet sexy.. flirtious.. blushing face… its dreamy and entertaining..
This was my favorite of the series to date! Luca was the perfect Hero and I loved this story.
Luca is an incurable romantic with a heart of gold.
The school scene?
The soccer game scene?
And yet Sabrina and Luca are still shooting off sparks. And Mikey. Luca’s connection with Sabrina’s son is full of ease, despite in la k of knowledge of 5 years olds (with the exception of their shared love of soccer).
My heart lies with Luca and I can honestly say I knew what was coming. Not how or when, just that it would. I wanted to hate on her but I totally understood. But Luca? He did do many
Wonderful things for and with Sabrina and Mikey, and one mistake and she’s abandoned any hope of what they’ve shared ever becoming more. And this after he laid it on the line.
It’s not over but it takes some meddling to put it right. Sweet and romantic.
Humor inserted throughout added so much!
I did not enjoy the narrators. I have enjoyed the male narrator in other books but not so much this one. The female narrators voice was hard for me to listen to. But, overall, I enjoyed the story.
Loved this. I read it nonstop until the early hours of the morning. Luca is to die for. I loved the way he was with Sabrina and Mickey. It takes an incredible man to take on another man’s child and love him like his own. I loved catching up with the other characters from the previous books. This story had it all. Lots of emotion, sweetness and of course, some hot and sexy moments. I have a soft spot for sexy Italian men and Luca didn’t disappoint. Can’t wait for his brother Dante’s story. When I first heard his name mentioned, I wondered if he would get his own story and if he might end up with the woman I hope he ends up with. Guess, I’ll just have to wait and see.
Again with my full disclosure: These are both one-click authors for me and I’ve never been disappointed with anything they’ve written.
This is a classic romantic story that has a smoking hot, sparks flying couple who are exploring their relationship with each other while navigating their way through life. They are as equal in attributes as they are in deficits as human beings.
The part I really want to praise the writers on is the relationship between L and M. (I don’t want to give anything away because I hate spoilers). The way this relationship develops is like they were reading my heart. There is such truth and tenderness around it that my breath was taken away. I cannot say thank you enough to them for writing a relationship that I can so totally identify with.
This is absolutely a 5 star read for me and one of my favorites of 2018.
Scoring Mr. Romeo is Book 3 in the Mr. Wrong Series but is easily a stand alone.
Who needs to use a dating site when you have a darling little boy that will take care of the match making for you. Though I’m sure Luca would of preferred not to of had a soccer ball hit him in the face.
Luca is a seriously hot italian man who does have a past of one night stands that has no plans on changing his relationship status until he meets Mikey’s (the boy who hit him in the face with the ball) mom, Sabrina. He fell for both mom and son.
Sabrina is a widowed young lady who is trying to move on with her life. She is a hairdresser and can’t accept that someone like Luca could really want an actual relationship with her. Luca breaks out all the stops to convince her.
The interactions between Luca and Mikey just warm your heart. It takes quite a man to love a little boy that is not his and treat him as his own. That right there is enough to make a woman swoon.
This story is so well written that it just seems so real. The bantering between Luca and Sabrina had me laughing out loud. Cassie and Luca prove that men and woman can be just friends. I was visibly upset when Luca and Sabrina had a breakup.
I absolutely loved this book! I wish Luca was real as I’d want him as my kids next stepdad.
I absolutely fell in love with this book and with Luca! Oh, how that man made we swoon. Mr. Romeo was the PERFECT TITLE for this book….he’s Italian and an romantic at heart!!!!!
Luca is a romantic, and women find him irresistible. When he enters a room, all the females notice. However, he has never found love. No woman has ever made his heart flutter until Sabrina and her son, Mikey, enter his life. Sabrina is a single mother, working hard to be the best mother she can be. She lost her husband a year ago, only to discover his betrayal after his death. You might say romance is the last thing on her mind….until Luca.
Luca was entranced the moment he saw Sabrina when her son, Mikey, plastered his hands covered in finger paint on his pants, and then, he knew he was in trouble when a ball hit him right between the eyes….the culprit…no other than the cutie pie, Mikey. Here was a woman who made him feel things he never felt before , and he hadn’t even yet had a real conversation with her.
The romance between Luca and Sabrina was both sweet and sexy. I loved watching these two fall in love, and I, especially, loved watching Luca fall in love with Mikey. There is nothing sexier than a man who loves children. Luca was so patient with Sabrina, knowing her history.
My heart went out to Sabrina. I couldn’t get frustrated with her when she would get scared of the feelings she had for Luca. She had given her heart to someone before, and he crushed it. Not only does she have herself to protect, but she has a son to protect.
The was not just a love story between two people, but it was a love story between three people. Luca loved Mikey like he would a son, and Mikey adored Luca. It’s very rare that you get that in a romance. Mikey was a huge part of their story which made it more realistic.
One of the great things about the book was also the relationship between Luca and his friends, especially Cassie. This was one of my favorite things about the book. As it’s told from dual POVs, not only did I get an insight into who Luca and Sabrina were as people, but I got to see their relationship with their family and friends.
The icing on the cake is the epilogue….OMG!!!! This fantastic duo of writers set us up perfectly for the next book which will be Cassie’s. This is one I don’t want to miss!!!
This book full out made me swoon!
This story of Luca and Sabrina is everything you could ask for in a true romance story. This is the first book I have read from these two, but I will not be the last! The way these characters met was so funny and fabulous! It was perfect!
Oh my me, Luca…..Italian, beautiful and oh so romantical! I loved how he fell just as hard for Sabrina’s son as he did her. I could almost hear him whispering in my ear….
Sabrina’s backstory is oh so sad, but made her into the strong woman she is, I loved to read about her vulnerabilities that most women, who have had children, have. I applauded how Luca handled the self doubt that Sabrina had.
OK, the best part for me was the writing of the intimate scenes! It wasn’t raunchy, it wasn’t crazy, it was a slow simmer that really blossomed into a true love story! How they could write about a simple kiss that could give the reader shivers is amazing!
This is an amazing story of love and beating the odds! I can’t wait to delve into their other books!
This is the third book in the Mr. Wrong series and it just keeps getting better, if that’s even possible! I was hooked from the first page and blew through it never wanting it to end! I loved the story of a single mom that was a widow finding love with a beautiful, sexy Italian man that loved her 5-year-old son first. He was so good with him. Not only was it a beautiful love story but it was funny!
This book! Luca is all that a book boyfriend could be and just what Sabrina needed. He is sweet, attentive, sexy, romantic in ways that just made me melt and he whispers in Italian, now that’s seduction! The biggest thing that touched me the most is that he fell in love with the little boy first. He always had that little mans well being placed first. I know I said that before, but it bears repeating. He is a wonderful family man, loyal friend and sexy as hell. Enough said. The man is a keeper.
I don’t want to give anything away about the story as the synopsis does a great job of setting up the story. The reader should go in with the promise of a great feels, sigh inducing read and it certainly did that for me.
I highly recommend this romantic, great feels love story. I promise you will fall in love with the characters as much as I did, especially Luca! These authors outdid themselves with this one!
Scoring Mr. Romeo is the third book in the Mr. Wrong Series. It combines two of my favorite things in Romance, a single mother and a charming playboy, in a story that will satisfy the true romance lovers in all of us. Luca appeared in the first two books in the series and I’m so happy he got his own story. And the fact that is story has dual POV is an added bonus! The secondary characters lend so much to the story and Mikey, Sabrina’s five year old son, is adorable. I loved this story. I read it nonstop, the story flowed effortlessly, and I found myself sighing deeply at the end.
Sabrina Callahan’s husband, Dillon, died a year ago, leaving her now five year old son, Mikey, still struggling over his death. Unfortunately Sabrina was confronted by Dillon’s betrayal shortly after his death and she stopped mourning him due to the hurt and anger. Apparently Dillon had left their marriage, in spirit without informing her, before his death. While Sabrina was ready to move on, and start dating, she was a little apprehensive of meeting a man and telling him she was a single parent. When Mickey has a few unfortunate and accidental run-ins with his teacher’s best friend, Luca, they hit it off. And so does Sabrina. She’s just not sure if she can ever trust another man, with her heart or her son’s. Especially Mikey’s still tender heart.
“Sweetheart, you need to live life. Not just for your son, but for you, too. Our hearts are meant to love, and you have so much love give. Don’t be afraid to open it again.”
Luca’s a charming playboy. He sees no reason to settle down and is even a little resentful that his friends have found the love of their lives. At least he and his best friend, Cassie, a kindergarten teacher, are happily single. Until all that seems to change when he meets Sabrina and Mikey. When he begins to wine and dine them, spending more and more time together, he begins to see the possibility of a future that includes the three of them. Until an unforeseen incident happens, that seems to destroy everything, and crushes his dreams.
“This is how I see it…you can spend the rest of your life waiting for that proverbial shoe to drop or you can go outside and be happy.”
Gah, I have been dying for Luca’s story in this fun, sexy, crazy series, and I am fully, totally, completely head over heels in love with Luca and Sabrina!
I knew it would take an extremely special woman to earn Luca’s love and his heart, and Sabrina is perfect for him and so is her son, Mikey. Sabrina and Mikey have loved and lost before and it takes a strong man to put aside his own needs to make sure that his loves needs are met.
Oh, it’s not all hearts and flowers and romantic dinners for Luca and Sabrina. Sabrina’s dead husband put her through the wringer and she’s tried to keep things positive for her son, but the lingering hurt and doubt sit under her skin, waiting for a moment of vulnerability to come rolling out.
I loved the blossoming romance between confirmed bachelor Luca and Sabrina. Love literally ran into him and he was hooked. Their love was slow, swoony and sexy. I loved how Luca loved Mikey as much as he adored Sabrina. Their interactions were absolutely adorable.
Scoring Mr. Romeo is a heart-warming blend of fun, sexy, swoony romance. It was sheer perfection. ~ Missy, 5 stars
I was given a copy of this book by the author.
Jude de Luca is my favorite of the three Mr. Wrong male characters. He’s serious about everything in his life – work, family, finding the right woman. Though he’s not really looking for Mrs. Right. That is until a soccer ball knocks him upside the head. Literally.
Sabrina is a single mother of a five year old boy (Mikey). She’s had a rough go of it as a single mom but is learning how to do a two person job as one. She has her parents close by to help if need be, thankfully. Her son, Mikey, is learning to play soccer. Ok – so he might need some extra lessons on how to kick the ball straight instead of sideways into the stands – but it’s a game he’s quite interested in. Said ball ends up hitting the sexiest man she’s ever seen.
As you can surmise these two have a push and pull relationship. Jude wants all of Sabrina and she’s not willing to give it. My heart just ached for him most of the book. He’s just so sweet and endearing. Sometimes you just wanted to smack her but she has good reasons as to why she’s holding back.
The writing is seamless. These two authors write beautifully together and their “Romeo and Juliet” story has a much better ending than the Shakespeare version. HA! Definitely add this one to your list. I hope you love it!
I absolutely loved Luca and Sabrina’s story!!!
Luca! What can I say, he stole my heart along with Sabrina. He is just perfect! Swoony, sexy, a true gentleman, romantic … he is everything!
He has a heart of gold and I loved how he doted on Sabrina and Mikey and always put them first. A beautiful story that you will devour!! I definitely had a book hangover reading this but it was SO worth it!! You will love it too!!!
I also love the interaction with the group of friends throughout the book and my goodness, I can’t wait to read about Dante!! Waiting patiently… 🙂
I loved both of the previous books in the Wrong series. Finding Mr. Wrong and Taming Mr. Flirt started the story of three best friends finding love where they were least expecting it. Jude and Kyle met their matches already and now it’s the turn of the last man standing, Luca Benedetto.
Luca works with Jude and although he’s a romantic at heart, he hadn’t met the right woman, that was until the day a young boy smacked into him with paint covered hands. That’s when Luca first sets eyes on Sabrina Callahan, the widowed mother of Mikey.
Sabrina is beyond mortified by her son’s accidental actions and tries to help, but it only ends in more embarrassment. She never expects to see the gorgeous piece of hot Italian again, never mind have her son accidentally assault him once more. This time with a ball!
It would seem this pairing is doomed for failure, but Luca is captivated, not just by Sabrina’s kindness and her beauty, but with her son too. He’s inexplicably drawn to both of them.
This story was a joy to read as it unfolded chapter by chapter. It was fast-paced but never felt rushed or forced. I loved Mikey’s addition to the story, he was cute and adorable. Sabrina’s best friend Becky is well played too, and it was great catching up with Kyle, Vanessa, Cassie, Jude and Brae.
But, Luca, OMG Luca. I just freaking loved him and how he handled Sabrina’s worries over their relationship. Not that it was without a few blips along the way. But, he knew what he wanted… He just had to convince his girl.
This was a dreamy confection of swoon worthy love and devotion, hot steamy sex and family connections but also had a hard edge of past betrayals bleeding into the here and now.
If you’re looking for a heart-warming, aww-filled story, then look no further and just grab your copy today.
Omg I’m in love and he happens to be a hot blooded sexy Italian called Luca…This book is the perfect love story, it has the perfect man who is romantic, sweet, caring and hot. This book left me not only swooning over Luca Benedetto it left me feeling all warm and fuzzy inside, these two authors have taken romance to another level and Scoring Mr Romeo is a must read book.
Luca knew right from the start that Sabrina and Mickey were a package deal and he wouldn’t have it any other way but that only leaves Sabrina thinking is he too good to be true, it’s now up to Mr Romeo to convince her otherwise.
I’m finding it hard to explain just how wonderful this book is, I don’t have any words that haven’t already been said about this book and this writing duo so all I’m going to say is do yourself a favour and one click Scoring Mr Romeo you will not be disappointed.
