The engagement is fake, but the feelings are real. Can Magalie put pretense aside and risk real love? Can Trace overcome his penchant for food challenges and fast-food-takeout-window shenanigans long enough to hold on to Magalie? Can anyone really beat the Saltine Challenge? Has Mr. Match met a match he can’t handle? Grab your balls and hang on — the second book in the hilarious Mr. Match … book in the hilarious Mr. Match series is here, and it’s full of snort-laugh moments, jokes about balls (c’mon…it’s a soccer book!), and the best Christmas-themed double-engagement epilogue in the history of, well, Christmas-themed double-engagement epilogues.
TRACE: My twin sister found love using the dating site everyone in San Diego is talking about — Mr. Match. And now that she’s happily coupled, she thinks I should look for my match.
The thing is? I’m pretty sure I don’t have one. I’ve got soccer. And maybe that’s all I really need–it’s definitely the only thing I’ve ever really been able to depend on, besides Erica.
I signed up. But what I got was not what I expected.
I did not expect to feel so much for a woman I’d only just met. And I definitely didn’t expect to find myself agreeing to pretend to be her fiancé.
The question is, if this is all pretend, why does it feel so real?
MAGALIE: When I moved to San Diego from France, I thought that would be enough to convince my mother I was committed to living my own life. But when she announced she was coming to visit, and bringing Henri–the man she wanted me to marry–I panicked.
Maybe using a site designed to match you with your soulmate wasn’t the right way to find someone to convince my mother I was engaged. Maybe convincing my mother I was engaged wasn’t the right way to get out of the arranged marriage she was trying to force on me.
And maybe there’s a lot more to my fake fiancé Trace Johnson than he’s willing to show the world.
I wish I didn’t want so badly to find out what’s beneath his bravado (and his shirt).more

Until next time… Happy Reading!
I found it difficult to connect with the characters unfortunately. Trace was a big baby and Magalie didn’t seem to have much depth for me.
A cute fun read. The ending is laugh out loud hilarious. Wish the whole book had been that way. Sadly, it was a bit tear inducing serious. But still good.
Could have been a really good book stared off good and got slow and boring
good book
The story line sounded good, but I couldn’t get more than 30 minutes into the book because of Trace. He just wasn’t likeable – childish, immature, and annoying.
Loved this book! I don’t want to say I felt sorry for Trace, but my heart did hurt for him with what he went through while growing up. I loved seeing him get a chance at a HEA, even though he wasn’t all keen on using the website to do so lol.
Great story and relatable characters!
A well written fake fiancé romance where fate has its own agenda. Nice storyline and plot. It is written in dual POV and that gives the reader more of the thoughts and feelings of the main characters and makes it more realistic and brings us closer to them. Characters well defined and they develop nicely through the story.
Two characters that makes use of a dating app to find a fake partner but as most of the times fate throws a game in and they develop feelings for each other.
He needs to have a life outside the soccer and believe a bit in himself. She has to be stronger and more independent and show her mother that she is. Can they combine their lifes?
Entertaining, enjoyable and amusing read.
This was a cute story we have Trace and Magalie who unfortunately for them are being coerced to find someone. They both join Match and end up being matched and fortunately for them that they are liking each other way too much than they really expected. Magalie was a grown up and needed to be strong with her mother who was way to invested in her daughters life. Luckily for her that she met Trace..

Trace plays soccer and is wanting to find someone for himself since his twin has someone and he doesn’t want to be a third wheel. So his sister talks him into trying the same matchmaker service she used. So he fills out all those questions and hopes for the best. Magalie is a wine maker from France and is wanting to be successful but her interfering mother keeps wanting her to marry Henri who is much too old her for. So Magalie’s friend gets her to fill out the matchmaking questionnaire to find someone for her. First off I found it weird that they had letters (as in snail mail) this day and age. Second, Magalie’s mother wanting to marry her off to Henri was a bit hard to fathom since I couldn’t figure out why Mag just didn’t tell her no, no no. I liked Trace and Magalie’s interactions. But Magalie left me cold and I thought Trace could do better.

I enjoyed this second book in the series. Trace agrees to be Magalie’s fake fiancee in order to get her domineering mother off her back. Things get interesting when they start liking for each other for real.

This is a riveting read. It is a heartwarming, funny, witty, and steamy romance. The storyline is flawless and very interesting. A fast pace page turner with characters that are intriguing; you cannot help but love them. The chemistry between them is potent and off the charts. Quite the enjoyable read and I highly recommend reading it. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
This is the second book in the series. This story was sweet, funny and a good romatic comedy read. It has a good storyline between Trace and Magalie.

“But my heart was telling me something else. That stupid jerk was telling me that if I looked into Magalie’s eyes, I could see the doubt there, that I could see the same fledgling feelings for me that I had for her.”
Yes, Trace Johnson was falling in love with is FAKE fiancé. To be honest, he went into the whole Mr. Match thing reluctantly, but once he had, he thought maybe he could meet someone. For real. But It wasn’t turning out that way.
Magalie Caron needs to fend off her mother. Her overbearing (well meaning?) mother, who has tried to arrange a marriage for her. When she signed up for Mr. Match, she figured she might be able to convince a guy to pose as her fake fiancé. Then she meets Trace. And the fake part is quickly soaring out of the window.
I am truly enjoying this fun soccer romance series. I find myself looking forward to the books of each player even as I am enjoying the one I’m reading. Great series!
Erica’s brother professional soccer goalie Trace is a little juvenile with way he tries to embarrass her in front of her boyfriend and his teammate Fuerte and starting silly bets like who can eat the most saltine crackers or mayonnaise. French wine maker Magalie is much more refined and the complete opposite of Trace. This was an odd, but funny pairing. Her mother was controlling and annoying until she softened near the end of the book. Trace and Magalie’s relationship had its and ups and downs from his disappointment that she just wanted a pretend relationship to fool her mother to thinking the she was distracting him from performing well on the field to being unable to deny their attraction to each other. I’ll be curious to see who Mr. “Max” Match pairs up next on his team.
So i really enjoy reading this authors work and am looking forward to reading more. This was a great steamy read with a great storyline and great characters to read about.Plus it sooooo steamy to , so enjoy everyone.

This was a wonderful addition to this series. With a story line that is funny and sweet, characters that are easy to fall for, steamy chemistry and a totally swoon worthy romance, this book will keep you entertained and very, very happy. Trace & Magalie were so perfect together. These characters are so incredibly different but they fit together seamlessly into a beautiful new whole that was better than the original. This book is easily read as a standalone but trust me, If you don’t read book one first after you finish this one, you will want to go back to read about Erica, Trace’s sister, in her book.
Magalie needs to find a way to make her mother understand she needs to live her own life. Domineering doesn’t even begin to explain the way Lianne tries to control her daughter’s life – particularly in the area of marriage. Even the fact the Magalie left France and moved to the States to pursue her career as a wine maker isn’t enough. Her mother is coming for a visit and bringing a potential fiancé for Magalie with her! As a last resort, Magalie fills out the Mr. Match form hoping she can find someone to pretend to be her fiancé so her mother will leave her be.
She didn’t count on being matched to super-hot Sharks goalie, Trace Johnson.
Trace Johnson is fun loving and focused on soccer – the one thing that he can count on, besides his twin sister Erica. But something is missing, and he agrees to sign up for Mr. Match. Besides, it worked for Erica, and she won’t let up until the form is finished. Sparks fly the instant he meets Magalie, but she only wants someone to pretend to be her fiancé. He agrees, but being around her only makes him fall harder. What will he do when Magalie’s mother returns to France, and the charade is over?
This book is hot and tender and gives you all the feels! I’ve read a lot of Delancey Stewart and I have to say, Trace and Magalie are one of my favorite couples!

Here we see Goalie Trace’s turn to find his soul mate, though he gets pushed into signing up to the Mr. Match dating site. And the girl he’s matched up with his French Wine Maker Magalie who signed up as she needed to find someone to make a point to her interviewing mother, who’s trying to push her into an arrange marriage to an older man.
So we see how Trace & Magalie agree to this agreement & the ups & turns that happen along the way until they both admit to each other & everyone else their true feelings….
