A terrorist atrocity rips through London the day before the body of a young Asian man is found in the grounds of a stately home, near the West Country town of Abbeyford. DI Kate Redman and her team take on the case, but are hampered by a lack of identification on the body, not to mention the odd location of the crime scene.Eventually, they identify the young man as a certain Ibrahim Bashir, but … Bashir, but this only leads to more confusion – because it seems that Ibrahim Bashir died fifty years ago…
Scimitar is the twelth book in the Kate Redman Mystery series, from USA Today bestselling author, Celina Grace.

Pretty good mystery. It did drag in places. It made police work seem boring which was perhaps realistic. She did the right thing in the end.
I didn’t like this book. It was slow and a little boring.
I like Kate Redman. Her character is realistic in that she is constantly juggling long hours at work with her personal life. She truly cares about her coworkers.
Focuses almost exclusively on the emotional landscape of the protagonist with an occasional bow in the direction of the investigation. If that’s your preference, it’s a fine, well-written book; it just happens not to be mine, hence the low rating.
Good story for fans of British detective fiction. Enjoyed it.
Engaging characters and good story telling.
I am a sucker for mysteries set in Britain and this one didn’t disappoint. The characters are old friends from previous Kate Redman mysteries and I enjoyed another book in the series.
I enjoy reading this British Police Procedural series, as a break from my norm. In this episode, I especially enjoyed Kate being tempted to betray Anderton by a younger man. It caused me some tension.
Hard to put down!
a little slow but well done character wise
Good Plot.
I feel the political remark about a sitting US president was uncalled for and very bad taste
Love the Kate Redman mysteries.
Liked the detectives and great writing!
Always enjoy a book by Celina Grace!
Liked main character
Nice Murder mystery.
Timely topics woven into a murder mystery.
I was not expecting the ending which is a good thing. I have read several books in this series. The characters are engaging and well rounded. You want to find out more about them.
