A terrorist atrocity rips through London the day before the body of a young Asian man is found in the grounds of a stately home, near the West Country town of Abbeyford. DI Kate Redman and her team take on the case, but are hampered by a lack of identification on the body, not to mention the odd location of the crime scene.Eventually, they identify the young man as a certain Ibrahim Bashir, but … Bashir, but this only leads to more confusion – because it seems that Ibrahim Bashir died fifty years ago…
Scimitar is the twelth book in the Kate Redman Mystery series, from USA Today bestselling author, Celina Grace.

As always a good story line but I would like to read more story line and less Kate’s personal problems. Getting tired of it and it usually doesn’t have anything to do with the story.
The twelfth Kate Redman novel is another excellent story from Indie star Celina Grace. This time, the redoubtable Detective Inspector is on the trail of a terrorist in a tale that takes us through an exciting series of twists and turns on its way to a satisfying finale. Some of the many things I like about these novels are the humanity of the well-grounded main character, the author’s intelligent insights into the human condition, and how Redman uses her courage and smarts to solve cases. It’s also always fun to discover what’s going on in the life of an endearing character who evolves ever more gracefully in each installment of this appealing series.
An intriguing story about a team of detectives investigating the murder of a secret agent.
very interesting part of the Kate Redman series, her romantic life is as interesting as the cases she works on. Ending surprised me in ore than one way. Well Done.
It was okay. Not a barn-burner.
Really like Kate Redmond!
Love these characters & the author
Another great “Kate Redman” novel. Can’t go wrong with this author.
Celena Grace always has a good yarn.
Love the series
I love this series!
I’ve read this series. It’s engaging but and has a plot that is interesting and holds my attention. The characters are entertaining and developed.
I don’t know how realistic they are but I’ve enjoyed them.
I’ve enjoyed the others I’ve read in this series, so it was great to get this one. The characters are realistic and the plots are good. Look forward to more.
he discovery of a body at a National Trust house, has Kate and her team scrambling to find the killer. First, however they must figure out the identity of the deceased. With one complication after another, the truth behind the murder seems set to elude them. On the home front, Kate struggles to decide in which direction her future lies.
Interesting insight into organization of UK police. Hard to believe that so many police personnel could be devoted to one case for so long.
I read several of the series by this author. Some I guessed who the bad guy was early in the book, others I did not. The police procedures were different than the US or at least what we see on TV. I would recommend these books.,
Love this series!
You will never in a million years guess the perpetrator of the crime. Lots of red herrings and interesting asides.
Love this series! Just can’t understand why it in not a TV series. It wo uh old be great.
