From USA Today Bestseller Wendy Vella comes an exciting Regency series about legend, love and destiny, with a hint of magic … cruel fate can eclipse good intentions anytime. Certainly she’s not going to let her head or heart get fooled by the devilishly annoying Cambridge Sinclair, her family’s protector, and London’s notorious rake… who also happened to save her life… more than once.
Cam has been intrigued by the mysterious Miss Emily Tolly for years, even though theirs is a turbulent relationship. With her family and others, she’s shy and timid, but with him, she’s anything but. He knows this kitten has claws beneath the quiet exterior and a whole lot of other secrets she’s hiding. But her passion and intelligence draw him irresistibly to her, so when he’s given the opportunity to rescue her once again, he grabs it with both hands. This rescue, though, takes the form of a hastily arranged marriage, which Cam enters into willingly for her sake and her family’s. What he doesn’t count on is the closer he and Emily get, the stronger their passion burns, and Cam finds himself wanting not just her body, but her heart too.
It was meant to be a dutiful betrothal from the start, but it soon becomes something more. As Emily sees the real man beneath the roguish reputation, her carefully guarded heart begins to believe and hope. Dare she trust the one man who could destroy her?

I have enjoyed all the danger series. In fact I have read them all several times and keep them all in my library.
another great story by a wonderful writer, have been following her and her books for quite awhile and enjoyed every one and always look forward to a new one by Wendy Vella
I have a new author to include among my favorite authors! Wendy Vella’s books show not only the love between the hero and heroine, but the love between siblings. This reminds me of my life, as both my siblings and I are very close as are spouses. The mystical nature of the book adds to the originality of the storyline, and the romance is beautiful. I can’t wait to read about each sibling’s romance.
Really enjoyed this book. Looking forward to reading more from this series.
Great romantic adventure with just the hint of magic to make it aparkle
Scent of Danger Nice read. Had a lot of humor and interaction between characters. Also had suspense and a happy ending
This was a very quick read romantic novel
A nice continuity in all the books, strong women characters
It made me want to order other books in this series.
I love this series, and am working my way through the whole family. I enjoy the relationships between the siblings and the witty banter they engage in–like my family, but less sarcastic! I alway look forward to the moment in the book when the entire family comes together to solve a problem, and I love the way new offshoots of the family line keep popping up.
Great series
Wonderful romance.
Another chapter in the paranormal Raven / Sinclair story, wherein the two characters who rubbed each other the wrong way from their first meeting rub along very nicely at the end.
Reviews on Goodreads and Amazon
I haven’t read a book by Wendy that I haven’t enjoyed.
Well written, but unless having read previous books in series, a little confusing. Too many peripheral characters all at once. Also, never will care for h who gets indignant over well meant help just to prove her “independence”!
I enjoy the characters in this series.
I really liked this book. So much that I went back and got the other 4 books to complete the series.
I like the books in this series. The characters are intriguing and I like the hint a heightened senses. This book moved too quickly from we clash to I love you with all my heart. I also think the ending was too fast, almost as if Vella hit her page goal and decided to wrap it up. Nothing was really a surprise in the book but the family dynamics and espevually their support of each other makes me continue reading the series. I especially like the bits with the younger generation.
Loved it
