Scattered Moments in Time is a collection of short stories written by Samantha A. Cole. An eclectic mix of themes, some are quirky and cute or deep and inspirational, while a few are dark and mournful. There’s a little something for everyone. Among the short stories, the following are included:Unconditional: Love Like a Dog – Rescued dog, Jinx, is on a mission to find his human a mate. An … find his human a mate. An adorable story from a canine’s point of view. (Previously released in the Be Their Voice Anthology, which is no longer in publication.)
The Hatred Within – What happens when the President of the United States orders all police departments to be disbanded and martial law to replace them? The members of NYPD don’t want to find out.
Stoke the Flames – When Cade realizes Jenna is the woman his heart has been searching for, he knows he’ll have to work to convince her. Stoking the flames between them shouldn’t be too hard, though—after all, he is a fireman. (Previously released in the Down & Dirty Anthology, which is no longer in publication.)
Stud Muffin – The last person Rafe expected to see as a guest at his cousin’s wedding was the woman of his dreams. He’d worked with Suki months earlier on a serial murder case, and he hasn’t been able to get her out of his mind since. Was fate giving him a second opportunity to get to know her? There’s only one way to find out.

This was a nice collection of short stories and musings. Some were better than others (not really my taste of things). I adored the Unconditional: Love Like a Dog, Stoke the Flame and Stud Muffin.

Talk about a stud muffin Rafe is all that and more. Suki is the perfect amount of smart and sass.
Flat characters and rushed plots equals for a very bad read. This book has none of that. The stories were short enough to finish in one sitting, but the treasure I took away from them lasted a lot longer.

I loved this collection of stories. There is something for everyone. You will laugh, and cry. All of the feels are there.
I honestly don’t have many words. This book, with all the short stories, hit all the right notes for me. Crying, laughing, all the emotions are there!! I just can’t say enough about how much I loved each story in this collection!!!
Wow this book has wrung every emotion from me! I laughed and cried (ugly cried) and and got angry (at the way our Police are treated) the then felt happiness (love stories). This was a great Christmas present. Thank you Samantha. I love how your mind is so filled with things I love to read.
This is a wonderful collection of stories that hits every emotion and left me wanting more. The stories are varied, some are not so happy, others sweet and fun, basically all are different and great stories to read. I hesitate to say too much about any of the stories specifically, I don’t want to spoil them. I will say that I lost myself in the pages of this book losing all track of time.
*spoilers* Wow! This is an absolutely beautiful collection of stories and more. I really enjoyed all of them. I Am was absolutely beautiful. This beautiful book also had me reflecting on, and being thankful for those who serve and protect. Whether it’s the local first responders, or the men in women who sacrifice life and limb for our country. There was also cute and quirky, and the struggles of aging. These are stories of love, loss, heartbreak, and joy. Everyone will find something that touches them in some way.

New short stories and an old favorite, Stoke the Flames from one of my favorite authors. Samantha’s writing is so special and you will find yourself going through so many emotions but still thanking her for wringing them out of you as you laugh and cry. The book is a quick and easy read and due to the format of different books, you can pick and choose which ones you want to read and in whatever order you choose.
I was given an ARC in exchange for an honest and totally voluntary review.
Omg I absolutely loved each story in this book and I have to say I want to see firefighter mr.october in person lol but truthfully all the stories will have you suvked in and falling in love with story.
Love this collection of stories. Well written and compelling to read. Great author I love her work.
There are short stories you read that once you close the book you never think about again. And then you get a hold of this collection and it blows you away. Between the soldiers last thoughts, life through the eyes of our four legged friend and the memories lost within our own minds, this was an emotional overload. Matched together with uplifting words and a beautiful and awe inspiring poem this collection is one I will remember for a very long time. 5 stars are not enough!!
This book had my emotions all over the place. I needed tissues for the soldier’s story. I cried with the Alzheimer story since my father died of this disease. I love dogs and feel they are very important and I love a good romance. I also enjoy the Malone stories.
