Is that a serious question? Because…hell yes! All it took was a peek at this badass book cover to have me swooning. I was there before the first ‘Mine!’. I have to tell you, I loved this story so hard I seriously started reading slower to keep from finishing it.
I read Scary Hot as a standalone. It was Z & Kayan that had most of my attention, but meeting their besties was a treat too. They must have made quite an impression on K.D. for her to have written them so well. She also made me excited to hop on the Club Alias train and take a ride. Intrigued is an understatement.
I might need to take a muscle relaxer before going to bed tonight. I smiled so hard while reading this story that I might have strained my face muscles. And I’m still doing it now. I can’t stop. My brain keeps replaying the sweet and sassy dialogue that I can hear so clearly in my imagination. I can also see them, the big badass biker and his tiny feisty woman…sigh.

Soooo good. Added to my ‘favorites’ shelf. Want to start over and read it again, already. It gave me the feels and I’m still gooey.
Wanna hear something funny.. this is my first book by KD Robichaux but the way i read it was as if I’ve been reading this authors words all my life. I literally just fell straight in and didn’t see me coming out anytime soon. I started this book then came down with a cold which put a dampner on things but i tried to pull through and read with the brightness at its lowest and before i knew it i was immersed.
I loved how it kinda coincided with July and Wes’ story from Until July but then you get further along and you meet some of the people from the Club Alias series which i have to say has interest me too I’ll have to give them ago 😉
Right down to the story.
Kayan and Z was great! The sassiness from Kayan and Z was all growly and alpha and just perfect. The chemistry between them was off the charts. You could feel the heat burning through my kindle.
The story was amazing, the characters was amazing i really don’t have a bad thing to say at all.
Very pleased with my first KD Robichaux book and it definitely won’t be my last!
FINALLY we get Kayan & Z’s story! I’ve been wanting this since Until July – as I’m sure many fans of the Until series have as well. ; ) K.D. does them justice, brings their story to life by weaving in scenes from Until July & showing us what was happening from Kayan & Z’s POV. Great job!!
I loved that the SCARY HOT biker was so super sweet & has a heart as big as Texas. I loved seeing Kayan’s spark & sassy nature soften for her big biker. We get the hot & steamy, too, of course! Great quick read with a full story, still! : )
Destined for Crossover Series Disappointment?
Have you ever read a book and thought to yourself … these secondary characters need their own book? Kayan and Z who were originally introduced to readers by Aurora Rose Reynolds in Until July were those characters for me. When the 2019 Happily Ever Alpha World books were announced, I waited with baited breath to see if my wish would be granted. It seemed like a excruciatingly long wait. Then one day, up pops a blurb for Scary Hot! My wish had been granted! Yet the question remained, was I destined for crossover series disappointment? I’m thrilled to tell you I was not disappointed after finishing this incredible book! I was ecstatic! Scary Hot exceeded my expectations!
It takes a masterful storyteller to be able to seamlessly mesh two literary worlds together and let me assure you that KD Robichaux is a master! The way in which she weaves the tale of adventurous Kayan and alpha, romantic Z is phenomenal! Scary Hot is told from the POV of two well-developed complex characters brought together by circumstance and united forever by the bonds of true love. The smooth connections between the two series provides Until Her series fans with a look at the evolution of the relationship between July and Wes from a new perspective. This book is extraordinary and a must read for fans of Aurora Rose Reynolds and KD Robichaux alike!
I just love KD Robichaux’s writing! She has a little bit of everything in all of her storylines. Kayan and Z had me laughing through their witty banter and sassy back and forth arguments! They were sweet and sexy with a dash of badass! Her hero’s are always sexy alphas and protective but big old teddy bears inside, and her heroines are sassy, sexy and able to hold their own! This was a sweet quick read and I loved it!
I have wanted to read Kayan and Z’s story since they were introduced in Until July, and KD Robichaux did not disappoint! This was everything I wanted it to be and more, absolutely perfect! Z and Kayan are brought together by their mutual best friends. The moment Z sees Kayan, he knows that she was meant to be his, but can he keep her out of trouble long enough for them to explore a relationship. Kayan does her best to keep him at arms length, but who is she kidding, she wants him just as much as he wants her, but what Kayan needs to realize is that Z is playing for keeps.
This was a perfect addition to the world that ARR created. With some drama, laughs, danger, and some off the charts naughty bits, this read sucked me in and I really wasn’t ready for it to be over. I give this 5 stars.
Short, sweet and enjoyable
I read untill July and it is good to get the deatailed story of her best best and her yummy bicker man. Reading this book gives more information on some of the things that happened in July’s story. I love the characters and the story is short, steamy, romantic and interesting.
Z knew the minute he saw Kayan she was going to be his. Kayan wasn’t sure what to make with the hottie alpha biker who seems to have claimed her without even having a date. Can she trust the man she can’t get out of their mind and what happens when life throws them an unexpected curveball?
This is Kayan and Z’s story from Aurora Rose Reynolds Until series. I didn’t realize it when I picked up the book but was very surprised to see two characters I was interested in get their own spotlight. Great story the chemistry was off the charts and the beginning started with a big surprise. Definitely one to pick up.
So happy to finally read Z and Kalyan’s story. I loved their connection and banter in Until July.
Even though this was not done by ARR it was just as good. KD did an amazing job!
Z is your over the top alpha but it was great to see his soft side with Kayan. I love Kayan’s sass and confident attitude.
Their banter was perfect. Their connection was perfect. Their story was perfect.
Scary Hot- and Kayan and Z’s story- is one that I have wanted to read since we were first introduced to both of them in Until June. Z and his alpha ways and Kayan and her impulsive personality go very well together.
I did enjoy getting their story, however there wasn’t much to it that we didn’t already know. Much of their story was a retelling of what we had already read in Until June, which was disappointing to me. I had hoped that we’d get more information and more new stuff.
I did enjoy the writing, though, and am glad that I did read Scary Hot.
Originally bought through Amazon but while I was not so patiently waiting for it to be delivered I won an ebook copy though a giveaway KD had through her Facebook group. This book was great and liked the mix between KD’s Club Alias and Aurora’s Until Series. Wish this book could have been longer!
I am devouring these Happily Ever Alpha World books like crazy and enjoying them so much, but this one I really loved!! This is Kayan and Z’s story from Until July and it was amazing. Even though their story was a novella, we still got so much. I loved Kayan and all her craziness and the awesome relationship with July. And Z was just plain awesome. From the moment he saw his “kitten” he knew what she was to him . The banter and the chemistry between these two was fun and hot! Their story had a bit of sweetness, a little bit of suspense and so much steaminess. I so so so loved this book, it was perfect!
Kayla, Scary Hot takes my love of hot alpha bikers to a whole new level. This book is fantastic and I was burned in all the right ways. Z and Kayan are everything I needed and more. He is so hot and I love her feisty nature and how she can hold her own. I am not a huge cat fan because I’m allergic, but I would be Z’s kitten any day. I’m pretty sure he makes me break out in love! This story is a must read and I couldn’t get enough of this couple.
I’ve been waiting for this book for so long! Always wanted to know Kayan & Z story and I’m so glad Kayla got to tell it. She gave these two justice they deserved and honestly I think she did better job for them; I think better than ARR would’ve. They just seem more of edgier couple than other ARR couples.
I love how Kayla did characters and how she really made their personalities shine through. The only thing that I’m really deducting a star for is I JUST WANTED IT TO BE SO MUCH LONGER.
OMG where do I begin? This was the book I was most looking forward to with the recent wave of the Until series. Ever since I read about them in Until July I have been chomping at the bit for their story. Let me tell you, K. D. Robichaux more than delivered in this beyond SCARY HOT story! I felt like I just left off from Until July and I more than fell in love with these characters all over again. I was completely engrossed, reading the tug-a-war emotions, the heat and sizzle, and of course the suspense in this book. Thank you for such an amazing read. I was completely sucked in! Well done!

I was beyond excited to see this couple get their story; I fell in love with the glimpses we got of them in Until July.
Kudos to the author for the timeline falling perfectly in line with Until July and bringing to life a couple I fell in love with. Z is utterly amazing and I loved how he wasn’t afraid to show how much he loved her. Kayan was funny and really enjoyed how she let out her submissive side when needed.
I am so happy and excited that Kayla wrote about Kayan and Z!!! If anyone could do them as much justice besides the queen of the book they first come from Of Until July by Aurora Rose Reynolds it would be Kayla!!! And every since I first met these two I wanted more from them and I’m so glad I got it!!! And buddy did Kayla bring them. It was sexy,sweet,hot and kinky!!! I loved how she was able to mixed Aurora’s Until world with her Club Alias world!! It’s always nice to see old characters again. And if you haven’t met any from either series I would recommend you do both!!! Oh, boy!! Scary Hot delivered all the feel goods with an attention-grabbing story line filled with some yummy spicy moments, bunches of hot swoony moments, and several laugh-out-loud moments. I didn’t stop once I got started!! This little novella sure packed in a bunch of goodness!
I simply adored how Kayan was such a delightful mix of shy/sweet and strong/sassy – but in a charming way, not in a ott annoying way. She was so much fun!
And Z!? Omgoodness that man….he stole my heart. I so desperately wanted to be Kayan and be held and protected and cared for each time I needed it and have him at my back when I was ready to stand strong myself – just like he gave to her. Z learned what she needed and filled her life with goodness. Swoony!!
I haven’t read Until July yet, where Z and Kayan are the best friends of July and Wes, but reading this story makes me want to go dive into Until July to get where they were first introduced, and then reread Scary Hot just to fully experience all their goodness.

Scary Hot drew me in from word one and kept my undivided attention until the end. I was so totally engrossed in this book that I could not put it down and read it in one sitting. Z is a sexy Alpha and Kayan is awesome. Z and Kayan are perfect parts steamy, funny, and an ideal love match. They found their BOOM kind of love. Scary Hot had me blushing, laughing, and gave me all the feels. I lost myself in this story. I loved Z and Kayan and felt their story fit perfectly with Until July. I was sad to see it end.
I have wanted Kayan and Z’s story for so long!! I was thrilled to get to read it! OMG! It seriously did NOT disappoint! I loved these two amazingly crazy characters. I love their instant chemistry. I love their stubbornness! I love that Kayan is so full of sass and sweetness. She is the perfect contrast to Z’s rough and dominant persona. Together they are explosive! I laughed. I got teary. I fanned myself many times. I fell head over heels for these two. A MUST READ!
