I had the perfect school, the perfect friends—the perfect life …
At least, that’s what I thought.
But you changed all that.
You are always there … Always watching … Always waiting in the shadows. You send me flowers and messages. You stalk me, trace my every movement…
Until that one day, in a silly game of Seven Minutes in Heaven, when I finally get to feel you—have a taste of you …
feel you—have a taste of you …
It left me wanting more.
One catastrophic day, my wish is granted.
Just past my eighteenth birthday, tragedy strikes and I watch my family die before my eyes.
You are there. You rescue me. You choose my life over my older sister’s, and I hate you for that. I hate you for taking me and imprisoning me. You say it’s for my sake, but I know it’s for your own. You make me see that my life could be much worse without you in it…
You make me see true darkness.
It is in that darkness you make me desperate for your presence, your touch, your caress. You make me need you… You make it impossible for me to live without you… And then, eventually…
You make me fall in love with you.
Secrets will always wound the ones twisted within their web of lies… But the ones I’m tangled in … are deadly.
WARNING: Although this book (overall) is not a dark read, one chapter is an exception, and contains the following triggers: childhood sexual/emotional abuse with some intensity in one particular scene.

“Time’s up, Beautiful”
This is the first Stalker booker I have read. All I can really say is WOW!!! Jarrod and Lily’s story is so full of suspense, twists and turns it will have you on the edge of your seat. There were a few connections that I was able to pick up earlier in the book, but the real twist hadn’t even come to mind till it was playing out on the pages.
It’s like a dark modern day beauty and the beast…
I don’t want to give away to much of this book as you really need to read it without having read any spoilers as it will ruin the suspense of it. Although having said that this book does contain one chapter that can cause triggers for childhood sexual abuse.
For six months Lily has had a feeling of being watched and has been receiving lilies at her front door ever day. A silly game of Seven Minutes In Heaven, has Lily locked in a bathroom with a stranger which she shares the best kiss she has ever had. But it also leaves Lily with so many questions with no answers.
Jarrod was on a mission of revenge. He had a plan to get it but never expected to fall for her. When his plan backfires, he has no choice but to be honest. The pain, guilt and scars he has had to carry will make you fall more in love with him, if you hadn’t already.
What a story this Scars was, I was hooked from the start, it is sure one page turner you have to keep going on to try work out what is going on and why the Hero/Stalker is doing what he doing and for what and what is the end game.
I really like how we get both POV from Lily and J side of the story When I started the book I thought oh am not going like the Hero/Stalker ha ha but then I was rooting for him, when you find out what is going on it isn’t anything Like I expected it to be.
I am not real sure what I was really expecting but I know it wasn’t that Loved that Twist.
I loved Lily she really did think she had the perfect school, the perfect friends—the perfect life. When it all comes out I really felt for her….
J is a bit creepy at first as he is stalking Lily but you can’t help but falling for him. And the past he had wasn’t an easy one.
I loved the secondary characters Loved Christine…. Jerry was funny at times.
I will admit near the end I did have some tears but they are worth it.
I am a little sad it is over I really did enjoy this book and I could definitely read more…
If you love a book that is going to keep you guessing till the end this is it.
Can’t wait to see what Jaimie brings us next.
I knew I was going to give Scars 4 to 5 stars as soon as I finished the prologue. I couldn’t drop the book. This is a stalker/romance story. Although it wasn’t as dark as I was expecting it to be, I loved it!
Lily is a very mature 17 year old. She doesn’t brag or whine. Even though her parents have high paying jobs, Lily is just a humble girl. She also has a secret stalker.
This stalker is pretty romantic. Everyday he leaves her a flower at the front door, and he makes sure she gets home safely.
Lily mentions it to her best friend, but she doesn’t notify her family about someone following her. There’s just something about the man that pulls her. His voice, his body, his actions.
There are some steamy and erotic moments, but the sex scenes aren’t everywhere. The romance between the characters moves at a good pace.
I really enjoyed this book. There’s romance, mystery, and some suspense. It also has some good twists that surprised me. I can’t wait to read more by Jaimie Roberts.
