The writing was perfect and really well done. It has all the elements that made it progressed past my expectations an exceptional read.
A wonderful second chance romance, the characters are well written and their story is bittersweet after being reunited after so many years.

I thoroughly enjoyed this short Regency second chance romance with great characters, romance and intrigue. The governess a fun touch. They had fallen in love but her family forced her to marry a duke since they were destitute. Many years later after her husband died, they got a second chance. The ending was great.

This is dramatic and intense. Lewis and Grace met and fell in love when they were young, but Grace ended up having to marry someone else in order to save her family. Years later they meet again, only to pretend they didn’t know each other. Now again they meet, and finally talk about the past. Grace is still as stubborn as she was, and poor Lewis can’t believe he is having his heart broken again because of her. It’s a sad story with a happy ending.

Grace had to give up her American love Lewis and marry the duke her parents betrothed her to over twenty years ago. She comes to love her husband and their daughters, but she never forgot her first love. When her carriage breaks down they end up struck traveling together. Can he ever forgive her and would she be willing to make the sacrifices to be with him again? Nice second chance romance with an older couple.
Grace had to turn her back on the love of her life due to family duty. Then 23 years later Grace now a widow she and Lewis are traveling together. Will these two find the love they had before? Lewis home is in America and Grace’s in England will one give up what they have to be together? This short story will answer those questions in a very enjoyable read. After reading some pretty in-depth things this week it was so nice to read a simple story about second chances. I loved the tiger! I can always get lost in Ms. Mariel stories such a pleasant way to spend a bit of time on a Saturday afternoon. I did receive a free copy of this book and voluntarily chose to review it.
