Can love tip the scales?Dragons have been banished from Diablo Falls since before I was born. And now it’s up to me to be the emissary, the one who negotiates our return. Lucky for us, I’ve been paired with Morland Harris, one of the few humans living in Diablo Falls. He’s hot AF and our attraction is electric. That always helps to smooth things over, in the boardroom and the bedroom. But when I … and the bedroom. But when I discover a dark secret that puts his family in direct conflict with mine, no amount of electricity can bridge the growing divide between us.
Some things can’t be forgiven… or can they?

Finding the lost
The perfect quick read. The author takes us on an express journey to love and a moving HEA. But first we have to take a diversion through painful surprises. I love how the author is able to convey so much emotion in just a few short pages. The characters are robust and the story is one you are not going to want to miss. I can’t wait to read the next book by this author.
Moreland and Sera have a bumpy journey to get to their HEA when he hands over the dragon egg claws. Sera feels he is just as guilty as his ancestors. Can he prove he isn’t guilty? Are they really fated mates?

Bringing dragons back to Diablo Falls has been Seraphine Valfensys’ grandfather’s dream since the day dragons were banished. Seraphine is a dragon-shifter. An incident over fires that caused human deaths and destruction of property escalated to where the dragons just chose to leave until hostilities settled. Now the dragons – some of them anyway – are ready to return.
When the first meeting starts, Sera is introduced to Morland Harris who works closely with the Diablo Falls council, they both appear to be immediately attracted to each other. The dragon lands have remained untouched since the dragons left Diablo Falls, so the council agrees it makes the most sense to let them reclaim those areas. After the meeting, Sera and Morland talked about how his family studied Atlantis magic, and she mentioned there were water dragons even way back then. So he invites her and her grandfather to look through his family archives when they have time.
Sera accompanies Moreland to his family archives to get old maps for her grandfather, and he shows her books and artifacts from archeological finds made by his father and grandfather. She trips and falls into his arms, her green eyes now looking like swirling silver-blue stars! She reaches out and kisses him! They both know there is something strong between them. But then Sara finds a dragon egg claw from a hatching baby dragon, and they are precious to the dragon clan. When she and her grandfather perform magic on the claw, they see the birth of the baby dragon and the cold human hands that snatch is out of the shell and put it in a cage! This was not the only egg hatched!
Sera and Moreland, as fated mates, join to find out what happened to the dragons hatched from stolen eggs. What are they going to find? Where will this lead? And how will it affect their futures?
This was an exciting story with the fast-moving story line and an undercurrent of tension to carry the reader along to the conclusion. Grab your copy and see the fate of the missing hatchlings!
The stories in this series are stand alone but I love that the interconnect. We get to know more about the dragons in this story and love the connection from the first story. It’s sexy and short and intriguing. It also left me wanting more and can’t wait for the next one.

This is such an awesome read! I love the Diablo Falls series and this book by Fiona Starr was awesome it fit right in and did not disappoint! I loved Seraphine and Moreland and how they had a instant attraction when they meet while she is trying to bring the dragons back to Diablo Falls. When they go back to his office they discover a baby dragon’s claw and he is surprised to find out the truth of his families history. Seraphine realizes he is her fated mate and there are feelings of anger and betrayal that need to be worked through. The story was engaging, well developed, great story line and a awesome hot chemistry between the characters. I can’t wait to read more!!!

Short romantic read about dragons and how they were run out of Diablo Falls many years ago. Now the dragons are returning. One beautiful female dragon falls for the hot male human who she is working with on the return of her kind. But his ancestors committed atrocities in the past against the dragon. They overcome those issues and find love.
Loved the book it was great, the story was well written and the characters are interesting. Once I started I could not put the book down from start to finish you just could not get enough with twists and turns hot and steamy with emotions that makes you want more. Seraphine is a dragon shifter trying to change the rules for Dragon to enter Diablo Falls so Seraphine had a meeting with Moreland they soon relies Seraphine is Morelands mate. Will they be able to be together? Will they be stopped by the families?

The Dragons are coming back
Morland is part of the committee that is working to bring the Dragons back. Sera is granddaughter to a dragon elder. Sparks fly for Sera and Morland but will his family history ruin their HEA? I am so digging these Dragon shifter stories.
This was one of those instances where I wished this wasn’t a short story. I hope there’s more coming. It started with First Cursed with a little tidbit. Each story dives a bit further into the bigger mystery and I need more. These are their own stories with a piece to a bigger story. Can definitely be read independently and not feel like you’re missing anything or left with a cliffhanger if this is the only one you read but I definitely recommend it. It’s fun to pull the breadcrumbs together.
I could not wait to read more. Sera and Moreland are fated mates. This book was quick but do not let that stop you this author has an amazing collection of books I can not wait to, finish reading.
Wonderfully fantastic… The book was amazing… It had a lot of details and juicy scenes to it… The characters and their personalities match them perfectly… The plot and the storyline was very descriptive and amazing…
Will they be able to right the wrongs and bring Dragon Shifters back to Diablo Falls
I really like Fiona Starr’s writing style the more I read by her. Scale of Betrayal is not a disappoint at all, even if the paranormal genre is not my normal thing. However, Diablo Falls is filled with all sorts of interesting stories and this one is no different. Seraphine is a dragon shifter and Moreland is a human. Her grandfather has wanted to have dragons allowed back in DF ever since they were banished. So Seraphine works to see that happen and is introduced to Moreland since he works with the DF council. They have an instant attraction that definitely heats up and becomes a lot more as they are actually fated mates. But there is something dark in his family’s history that is uncovered which may cause them to choose to be apart.
I enjoyed this story and even though it is short the story-line was nicely developed and the characters were interesting.
I received a free ARC of this book in exchange for my honest review. My opinions are all my own.
A compelling book nine in the Diablo Falls series! It is an on the edge of your seat short read with a consistent, well written, and well developed storyline. An emotionally deep read with suspense and twists and turns. The characters are likeable, fated mates with amazing chemistry between them. A definite must read!

Have less than an hour to read, this book takes about 45 minutes. I has mystery and more, but leaves off on what happens later. We have Moreland who is helping the dragons come back to Diablo Falls. We have Sera who is at Diablos Falls with her grandfather to sign the agreement for them to come back. Once they lay eyes on each other sparks fly. Can Sera for give Moreland for what happened in the past? Can Moreland convince her that he is not like his family? Will they be able to get past everything and find out the truth?

I just love this series of books and this one? This one touches a spot in my heart with the mystery that is uncovered. Sera and Morland wind up being fated mates but what is discovered and what they must adjust to and decide whether or not to accept is something that will put them to the test. This was a quick, easy read with so much angst and heart. There was nothing not to love. I received a copy of this ARC and am proud to give my voluntary and honest review.
Another great story in the A Diablo Falls Paranormal Short Story. This is dragon shifter Seraphine Fallonen Valfensys and human Morland Harris but Morland has somethings in his past that might keep them apart. I enjoyed reading their story. Seraphine is a dragon shifter who is trying to bring dragons back to Diablo Falls. Moreland a human has been paired with Seraphine. This is a short story but it is packed with mystery, drama, betrayal, family secrets, great chemistry between fated mates and a great ending.
Seraphine is a dragon shifter and she’s part of the process of bringing the shifters back to Diablo Falls. She’s paired with Moreland and he takes her to his family’s archives and shows her a dragon’s claw that’s from a baby dragon. Soon they discover his family was involved in some bad activities and try to fix the wrongs they did by using the archives they left behind. Seraphine and Moreland are mates so what his family has done is hard for her to work through. Will she be able to reconcile that he wasn’t a part of what they did? Can he convince her to give him a chance?
This is a great story that once I started it I couldn’t put it down. The chemistry between them is scorching hot. This is a well written and very entertaining story. I would recommend this book to any book lover.

Moreland takes Sera to his family archives and shows her books and artefacts from his grandfather’s and father’s archeological finds. But Sara discovers a baby dragon claw, this was taken from a baby dragon after it hatched. Moreland knows there is another, but he discovers a box of around a dozen.
