Are you ready to go back to go back to Bell Buckle in this Retune to Me novella? The novella, Say You Won’t Let Go, by Corinne Michaels is part of the Lexi Blake crossover to her Masters & Mercenaries series and intertwines characters from both series and I loved it!
Emily Young grew up knowing she was destined to leave Bell Buckle. All she wanted was make it big as a country music artist and make something of herself. And she was finally on her way. She was an opening act and gaining traction. Her dreams were coming true. Then Cooper Townsend showed up backstage at a concert and changed everything.
Cooper was tired of being second best and putting his dreams aside for everyone else. It was time for him to take what he wanted. Copper was sexy, strong, protective and very possessive. He was a good man with a good heart. But once he sets his mind to something, there is no turning back!
Cooper was in Dallas to attend a conference, but with Emily in town for a concert as well, he finds himself backstage. Though they have known each other for years, it seems it is finally the right time for them! They have such a strong connection and chemistry. They spend hours talking. But with him in Bell Buckle and her on a tour, do they even have a chance to see where this can go?
But when Emily is threatened, Cooper will stop at nothing to protect her. He brings in McKay-Taggert to protect her. But is it too late? Cooper will do anything to keep her safe, but will Emily push Cooper away just when she needs him the most?
I loved visiting old friends and meeting new ones! Say You Won’t Let Go was so much fun to read. I loved the connection between Emily and Cooper and how they were determined to make this work. It was so sweet and sexy but also full of suspense. This was a great read with characters we love and though part of a series, can be read as a standalone. However, I highly recommend reading the Return to Me series as well, as they are great reads!
Happy reading!
Emily Young was finally living her dream. She’d made it out of the small town of Bell Buckle, Tennessee and onto the tour of one of country music’s biggest stars as his opening act. She was no longer the poor girl who was always hungry and relied on her friends to give her hand me downs, but a rising star who felt completely at home in the spotlight. She had everything she wanted . . . until Cooper Townsend showed up backstage at one of her concerts.
Cooper Townsend was visiting Dallas for a cattle ranching event when he realizes Emily’s performing in town. He’s known her for years as she was good friend’s with his sister. And, both he and Emily have always wondered what could have been. Their chemistry is smokin’ hot and for the first time since she left home, Emily’s thinking about the life she could have there.
While their friends to lovers romance quickly heats up, so does Emily’s professional life . . .a crazy fan has started sending inappropriate mail and gifts and even trashes her trailer. Needing to keep her safe while he can’t be there, Cooper turns to his old friend Wade Rycroft . . . ex special forces and current bodyguard working for McKay-Taggart. Together they need to keep Emily safe and find the stalker before she loses not only her music career but also the man she loves.
Say You Won’t Let Go was the first book I’ve read by Corinne Michaels. I snagged this because it was part of the Lexi Blake Crossover Connection. While it’s definitely not a McKay-Taggart book, I thought the author did a great job of including body guard Wade Rycroft to give readers that connection to Lexi’s world while staying true to her own series.
I loved Emily and Cooper as a couple. Because they were both a bit older, they knew what they wanted out of life and were willing to work and compromise to get it. They both had their own dreams for the future and it was fabulous watching them meld together to get their own unique happy ever after.
This book has lots of romance and plenty of suspense. Emily’s stalker is a true threat and adds some fantastic depth to the characters and storyline. This book, while novella length, really feels complete and gives readers a fully developed story that’s exciting and has a fantastic ending that will have you smiling from ear to ear. 5 stars.
“This isn’t just some guy…He could be so much more.”
Lexi Blake has come together with an AMAZING group of authors to bring us the Lexi Blake Crossover Collection. It’s pairing one of my favorites, the Masters & Mercenaries Series, with some of your beloved series from authors we all love and adore! Two different worlds come crashing together, giving fans something extremely special to read about.
Corinne Michaels’ words brings a smile to my face ever single time! Fans of her Return to Me Series are going to absolutely FREAK OUT over the release of SAY YOU WON’T LET GO, Cooper Townsend’s story. She pairs the beloved hero up with the talented Emily Young and together, these two are MAGIC! Sexy MAGIC! Even if you haven’t read Corinne’s Return to Me Series, you will fall instantly in love with our hero. He will take his place in your heart and never let go. I felt a sort of kinship to both Emily and Cooper and I have to say, not only was this entertaining with a dash of suspense, it was SCORCHING HOT and EMOTIONAL as hell. I loved every single second! Be prepared to become addicted to the likes of Ms. Michaels’ incredible storytelling!
I have been waiting FOREVER (or so it seems like) for this book, the very last in the Return to Me series by Corinne Michaels and a part of Lexi Blake’s Masters & Mercenaries Crossover Collection! It was EVERYTHING I expected it to be….and sooooooo much MORE!
I have to say that I LOVE the Hennington boys (especially Wyatt ) but Cooper Townsend stole my heart and I don’t know that I’ll EVER get it back! He wants to settle down and have a family but he’s been burned before, come in second place and really doesn’t want to risk his heart again….until things change one fateful day! And Emily Young is the PERFECT foil for him…she’s strong yet vulnerable, sweet yet feisty, and will stop at NOTHING to protect those she loves! Even if it means she has to rip her OWN heart to shreds to do it!
This is a novella that FEELS like a novel! It was so well written, filled with ANGST and suspense, sacrifice and LOVE, making me feel ALL the emotions that makes THIS the 5 STAR MUST READ book that it is! Corinne Michaels is the TOTAL package when it comes to delivering the kind of SOUL-SEARING, HEART-SHATTERING stories that make HER one of my top go-to authors!
Highly recommend this Corinne Michaels series. This is the story of Cooper and Emily. Loved it. WOW!
Happy ending
I liked this story, it had feelings, a little suspense and romance.
No unnecessary descriptions of surroundings
Good dialogues
Well described characters that’s developed in to realistic personalities
The storyline is good and progresses nicely to a happy ending
4 stars
I loved every single minute of this story. Corinne Michaels has done it again. Cooper & Emily were amazing and complement each other. It felt like I was watching a movie, where there was romance, action, and emotions. Absolutely worth the 5 Stars.
3 1/2 stars
I ended up enjoying this story, but I almost gave up on it a few chapters in. I know this is a Makay-Taggart crossover book, but Wade didn’t show up until about a 3rd into it. I spent that time confused as hell because I’m not familiar with this author, or this world, and the author didn’t do a good job explaining it. And on top of that, the beginning of this book was boring. Like, why I’m I still reading this boring. Thankfully a little over halfway through the story picked up. I’m glad am stuck it out.
I love that Cooper and Emily both got their happy ending! However, the story was just too short. I feel like the length of the story didn’t do the characters justice. Now don’t get me wrong, I still loved this story. Cooper and Emily are fire together. I think it is because they waited so long to take the leap with each other. The last chapter was beautiful!
Ahhhh! Cooper is everything and more. Corinne packed a helluva punch with this novella. It totally felt like a full length novel!
Finally, we get Cooper and Emily’s story. I have been reading this series from the Say You’ll Stay when we first met Emily and Cooper. Their story and the culmination of years of attraction come to head in Say You Won’s Let Go.
Corinne Michaels has a fan in me forever. She writes books with substance, with love and sadness, some twists and turns, suspense and all the feels you want and expect from a Corinne book. Yes, Say You Won’t Let Go is a novella but it packs the punch of a full book.
We finally get to see Emily and Cooper admit their feelings and watch as they navigate a relationship that has obstacles that they are unsure they can overcome. Emily is on tour and Cooper is now part owner of the family ranch, so being with each other is a roadblock that will test their faith in each other.
“…You’re not your past. You’re not what you remember either.”
Lexi Blake’s Wade Rycroft makes an appearance and damns you, Lexi & Corinne, I need more Wade now. My TBR list is forever growing.
This novella brings the Return to Me Series together and is a must-read.
Oh man the last book in the series, Cooper Townsend is in Dallas for an expo when he goes to see Bell Buckle hometown girl- Emily Young. She is amazing and meant for the stage but he always had a thing for her. This book has suspense and Hot Hot Hot. Loved that we get a little Bell Buckle back in the story and the crossover. Incredible Book Loved it
Wow such an amazing book. I love cooper. Corrine Michaels has another great book. I couldn’t put it down. Loved every second. Love the story and writing. Romance with a little bit of mystery-suspense. Already want to read it again.
I needed a moment okay , time to gather words to form sentences. The end so
now what? Life right . That’s laughable I am Ruined ,broken but I am happy this was beautiful ! I feel like I was being pulled in every direction while my heart had been ripped from my chest shattered and then slowly pieced together .IT IS PERFECT. I love it so much . I wanted to leave a review because I LOVED this so much but my mind it still processing what my heart is feeling so it may be awhile . So this Is it for now. lol! . So well buy this damn series ! Yep it’s everything , Now I’m going to attempt my recovery
This was an enjoyable read. It was part of a wonderful series that I enjoyed very much and I would definitely recommend reading it. I recommend this book, this series and this author.
Overall, I enjoyed this book. After enduring him losing Grace in Say I’m Yours (although it was pretty much a foregone conclusion that they weren’t meant together, and even Cooper knew that), I needed him to find his happily ever after. And I liked Emily during the moments she’s been mentioned in the previous three books in Corinne Michaels’ series.
Cooper is in Dallas for business pertaining to his farm. Emily happens to be there as the opening act for one of country music’s hottest stars. Cooper decides to stop by and visit Emily after her show. Their attraction is immediate, and while they confess that they’ve both had feelings about each other for a while, they decide to find a way to make things work. Unfortunately, there’s a crazy guy after Emily, which is where Wade comes in. He’s an old friend of Cooper’s, and he’s hired to protect Emily from this stalker.
I’m so glad that Cooper and Emily found their HEA. I do wish that there had been a little more to the storyline; I’d rather these two have gotten a full novel.
While I haven’t read Lexi Blake’s Masters & Mercenaries series, I think I’ll have to check that out!
Say You Won’t Let Go is a friend’s to lovers romance. Emily was a girl from a small country town that is on her way to making it big as a country singer. With her sights set forward and no looking back, she doesn’t need the distraction that hunky cowboy Cooper from her home town may just cause. However when an attraction that has always been there is too hard to fight these two decide to make their very different lives work. When Emily attracts the attention of a stalker Cooper decides her safety can only be trusted to his friend Wade Rycroft from McKay-Taggart. Their story is full of action, drama, surprises and lots of southern loving.
Loved it. Kept my interest from page one to the last page.
This book didn’t grab me. I was so excited to read Coopers story. This book was alright. The love scenes in the book made it seem like whoever wrote them hurried through them and just threw it all together as fast as possible. The romance didn’t flow with the rest of the book in my opinion. I think if those scenes were left out it would have been a better book. I do like romance and I don’t blush. These parts were just not put together well.
I do recommend reading Coopers story. I love that he found his true love. I like that they all have their happily ever afters.
