A NEW YORK TIMES BESTSELLER! From New York Times Bestseller, Corinne Michaels, comes a new friends to lovers standalone romance. There’s no way I’ll fall for Wyatt Hennington. He can keep his Southern drawl, irresistible smile, and those pick-up lines all to himself. I made the mistake of sleeping with him not once, but twice. I’m not stupid enough to give him round three, especially after he … left me in the middle of the night so I could see myself out. I vow to return to Philadelphia and forget him. It proves easier said than done. When the doctor informs me I’m the winner of door prize number two, I put my life on hold and head back to Bell Buckle. Three months and if we can’t make this work, I’m gone. The problem is–when the cards are stacked against us, and I can’t bring myself to leave him, I’ll finally know if he truly loves me or if all my fears were real . . .

I listened to the audio of this book. I did not read book 1 first and I definitely felt like I missed a lot, so I would recommend reading/listening in order. that being said, this book was a gut punch. it seriously put me in a funk, and the only way out was to keep listening for that happy ending. Don’t get me wrong, it wasn’t bad, just a lot to handle there for a little while. I think both narrators did a good job on their own, however I didn’t love them together. she gave Wyatt a slight accent when reading his parts, but he did not, so it was missing that cohesion. I would have preferred either narrator read yhe entire book instead of switching back and forth.
5 star Review Say You Want Me (The Hennington Brothers #2) by Corinne Michaels
AUDIO REVIEW:
Where do I start? What an emotional roller coaster of a read this book was. From start to finish, Corinne Michaels wove a story that drew me in and kept me captivated throughout. This is a love story which will rip you apart and then put you back together.
Wyatt Harrington, Angie Benson and Bell Buckle, Tennessee intrigued me from the start of this book.
All it takes is one night to change the course of ones life and this happens to Wyatt and Angie not once but twice. I fell hard and fast for all these characters, Wyatt is so swoon worthy that he just about melted my heart.
The performance by narrators Zachary Weber and Sophie Eastlake certainly brought the characters and the story to life for me. The pain and emotion that Wyatt and Angie went through was palpable and they did a great job in expressing this with their narration.
This book is emotional, gripping, a story of love, romance and overcoming ones fears, of digging deep and facing truths and never giving up. This is a book that you need to read for yourselves, it is so well written that it left me with a book hangover.
Say You Want Me
By: Corinne Michaels
Narrated by: Sophie Eastlake, Zachary Webber
Series: The Hennington Brothers, Book 2
Like a Rhinestone Cowboy! When Angie hooked up with Wyatt, she knew there was something special. But her life was not in Bell Buckle Tennessee, it was in Philadelphia, building her cupcake business. Things don’t always go as planned though. Circumstances take her back to the small town where her sister-in-law Pressley is, and she and Wyatt have some important decisions to make. And our love story begins! Corinne Michaels is one of my go to authors and I know when I start a book, it’s going to be hard to press pause. This is one of those books that I didn’t, because I just could not get enough of this couple. Hands down, my favorite of all of her stories, I was taken in. Each segment of this story emotional, parts had me wanting to shake these two in frustration, laughing out loud at their antics and crying my heart out at their tragedies. It’s a range of emotions, with fantastic characters and a town you will definitely fall in love with.
To top it off, the narration is by Sophie Eastlake and Zachary Webber. Mostly told from Angie’s point of view, Eastlake grabs me and sucks me into the story. She is a masterful narrator, understanding her characters and giving us the best version of them. Webber slides in as Wyatt, and he gives this cowboy all the feels. Wyatt is charismatic, and at times emotional, and Webber gets him! It’s an amazing listen you need to grab!

This is an emotional story that follows Wyatt and Angie, brother and best friend to the couple we met in the prior book of the series (it’s not necessary to read in order but since this book builds on the prior book, it probably is best). Wyatt and Angie had a relationship and then Angie ended up getting pregnant. Can Wyatt convince her to stay? Can the cowboy get the city girl to change her mind?
I really liked their relationship and I liked the characters themselves. They were both really sweet in general and together, they were a strong couple. Their relationship was tested and in a realistic way, there were moments where people said things they shouldn’t have said. But it’s realistic. And it was an emotional and beautifully written book.
This is the second time I’ve listened to the audiobook and the second time is just as heartbreakingly angsty but gorgeously written and narrated. Zachary Webber was perfect for the male lead and Sophie Eastlake was so emotional that i couldn’t get over the pain that I felt she emoted when the story took a difficult turn. A beautiful narration for a wonderful story- definitely on my “to be listened again” list.
What do you do when you turn up pregnant with the baby of somebody that you find incredibly sexy, but whom you never planned on really having a relationship with? That’s what Angie faces. To make it even worse, Wyatt is ranch/horsey kind of guy and Angie is strictly a Starbucks on every corner kind of gal.
When this story started, I wondered where the deep hitting subject matter of Corinne Michaels was. Then…it hit me. Ms. Michaels writes such deeply emotional, hard hitting stories. It’s like she sneaks all that stuff in and around the romance. I really think she does it better than just about anybody. Grab the tissues, because you’re going to need them!
I listened to the audio version of this book. The performances by Sophie Eastlake and Zachary Webber were outstanding and really helped give a sense of who the characters were.
This book.. OH MY GOD, THIS BOOK. What an emotional roller coaster Corinne Michaels has delivered, again! I really really enjoyed Say You’ll Stay but I have to say it; Say You Want Me is even better! Holy crap, that was an intense read. And heartbreaking. And so beautiful!
I could not wait to start this book after finishing book one of this series in which Wyatt and Angie were such delightful and integral characters who kept me smiling. I loved these two together and how different they were, yet they both had the same wants, bringing them together. I really wasn’t expecting their story to be an emotional one and I went into this expecting a easy contemporary read. Instead I got this amazingly heartfelt story that grabbed onto my heart from the very start. The connection these two shared was just so evident that I fell for them from the moment we got to see them together.
Say You Want Me is a beautiful love story with tons of heart, sexual tension, and all the feels. BUT what I really loved about this story is the character development and how well I felt I know these two characters. I loved how Corinne really brought this town, the characters and just its way of life to life and it made it all so real for me. This is one those stories you just have to go blindly into and trust that the author is going to deliver the story you need to read. Laced with angst ridden emotion that made my tears flow and then healed my heart again, I so loved the journey my book heart experienced and highly recommend to all romance lovers.
Loved this series by Corinne Michaels and highly recommend reading all the stories. This one is the story of Wyatt and Angie. All I can say is WOW!
I don’t get it. This book was written in 2016 so when it started off with Wyatt doing the “you’re pregnant so we’ll get married because I said so” and you’re moving here because no child of mine is going to be raised without me in “the big city”, I’m not moving because I’m the man and I said so and then added the my little girl will be the princess stuff and teaching a boy all the “manly” stuff I just about lost it. Seriously I couldn’t get passed the ridiculousness of him and her best friend. I’m so not into “Me Tarzan, you Jane” nonsense that I went back to check the reviews. So I ask, what is wrong with you people that think this nonsense archaic way of thinking is okay, even if just a fictional romance novel? I found it offensive, off putting, demeaning, don’t understand how anyone could find this an entertaining read. If they were living even 30 years ago maybe, but now. Seriously we as readers, as humans and particularly as women deserve to be written about with more respect. This was a giant loser for me and cannot fathom how anyone could validate this type antiquated abhorrent behavior even if in fictional book. Women deserve better in real life and in books.
5 “All the Feels” Stars
Boy oh boy oh boy!! Once again Corinne Michaels has shown her masterful way of bringing us a story that is raw, emotional, and downright beautiful. I will gladly take Wyatt and I’m a diehard #Dreamboat girl! I mean for reals…Wyatt is as swoon worthy as they come. Walking sex on a stick topped with a cowboy hat and a darlin’. Whew! Be still my heart. This man has a heart of gold and when he loves, he loves with everything he’s got. Angie is the strong-willed spitfire that doesn’t want to fall in love with this country boy, but he’s doing everything in his power to ensure she does.
Just when Angie thinks things are FINALLY falling into place and she realizes what and who she wants, life comes along and throws another kink in her plans. My heart bled for these two so so much and I know I had red puffy eyes from the tears I cried for these two. But in typical Corinne fashion, she put my heart back together again and I can love her again hehe. Say You Want Me is Corinne’s best work yet and can be read as a standalone.
Angela – Alphas Do It Better Book Blog
This was my first book by Corrine Michaels and I have had it on my shelf for at least three months. Boy, I sure didn’t know what I was missing! This book was hilarious throughout with one-line zingers that I will have to try to remember. A strong heroine and a hunk-of-burning love Hero that made me swoon. Don’t let this book fool you though, there are some intense moments that brings tears to your eyes and a HEA you will want to see!
Loved Wyatt and Angie!!! Entertaining read.
OMG Angie and Wyatt were hilarious and serious when needed to be. Since we met them in Say You’ll Stay, I have been eagerly waiting on their story, and finally we have it and it was amazing. I thought Wyatt was pure hotness and Angie was pure sassiness. Corinne was perfect with them. I laughed and cried so much for them and with them. I can’t wait to read more from Corinne. Definitely worth it.
This book was like “Blunt force trauma to my Heart” as Angie described Wyatt. I kept meaning to come back to the “Return to Me” series for a couple of years now and for whatever reason, kept putting it on the back burner. I’m so glad I finally did. This book reminded me why I love Corinne Michaels so much. There is a snarky, funny, emotionally tortured but strong as heck woman. There is a big, gorgeous, hardworking, warm hearted cowboy. What else could we want? Angie doesn’t need a man to fulfill her life, door prize or not. Wyatt never wanted a woman permanently (other than his childhood best friend). Can these two navigate the fishing waters to find each other? Can they endure others butting in and tragedies that haunt them? Amazing story and one I won’t soon forget. I won’t wait two years to read more in this series…off to the next book!
What a beautifully heartbreaking romance, I loved Wyatt and Angie and felt every emotion while living their journey with them, this book gives you have all the feels.
BEAUTIFUL!
That’s the word I will use to describe this story. Not only did I swoon over Wyatt-who is absolutely amazing- but I got the importance of forgiveness towards others but more importantly yourself. Not allowing the past to dictate your future especially when it prevents future happiness and understanding that life isn’t perfect and it’s okay to draw up a new plan when it’s time.
Quote My lips fuse against hers as I seek entrance into her mouth. I need to kiss her. I need to possess her in the same way she possesses me.
I love me a cowboy now!! How could I not fall for Wyatt…To be honest as I started this story I had a few issues with the story line (personal opinions)because the story itself was great. I started page 1 and I was all in. And the more I read the more I understood and the issues I had became nonexistent
Quote It’s not a test of love when things are good. It’s how you handle things when times are bad
Wyatt Hennington can be summed up with one word – Ah-freaking-Mazing! His character was adorable in Say You’ll Stay but you really get his whole heart with this one. He is so raw, so real, so honest and so amazingly hot that you can’t help but fall hard for him. Angie was equally amazing. So strong willed and determined to stand on her own. I loved them both. This story will take you on a beautiful bumpy ride. These two made me laugh so many times! What I like most about Corinne’s writing style is that it is so easy to put yourself into the story. She writes a real life, very relatable story, that you can easily get lost in. So to sum it up… This book killed my uterus, exploded my ovaries and stomped all over my heart and I’d read it again and again and again. 5 Wyatt is amazing stars!

Say You Want Me
By: Corinne Michaels
Narrated by: Sophie Eastlake, Zachary Webber
Series: Return to Me, Book 2
Got to love those smoking hot Hennington Brothers! This is a great addition to the “Return to Me” series! “Say You Want Me” is Wyatt and Angie’s story and Corrine Michaels takes the reader/listener on an emotional roller coaster ride. I loved the storylines and characters she created, also love the small town setting.
I listened to the Audible edition and the narrators, Sophie Eastlake and Zachary Webber are fantastic storytellers and voice performers. They bring the characters to life from the pages to your ears!
“Love is the strongest and most beautiful thing we can bestow on another person. ”
This book wrecked me! I devoured page after page of this emotional, heart-wrenching, all-consuming read that tore my heart to shreds and eventually healed it piece by piece. Wyatt and Angie were definitely opposites attract but “Lovin’ someone isn’t a choice when you find someone worth lovin'” and that’s what was the beautiful part of their story! If your a fan of Corinne’s you know she NEVER makes it easy to read one of her books but they are so worth the emotional roller-coaster she puts you through!
Corinne Michaels has become one of my favourites authors and is an instant click for me when I know she has a new book out. I love her writing and how she can take a story to another level! This book is really one of my favourites I’ve read of her. I absolutely loved reading it from beginning until end. It has everything I love in a book. Love, romance but also heartbreak. A story that just really touches you! This book is definitely worth the read and a solid 5 star!
Angie and Wyatt had a short romance when she was in the small town for her best friend that was going through some very rough times. After some time she comes back with big news. That chemistry they had is still there and Wyatt has only a small amount of time to win over Angie and try to get her to stay. Will Wyatt win her heart and convince her to give them a chance? Or will events break them apart?…
This story is the exact reason why I love to read romance novels! Ms Michaels created a genuine, organic world with honest, intelligent characters who have fun, and passion and makes you elated to feel every emotion, good or painful, all in a beautiful, heartfelt story.
Wyatt Hennington is a sexy southern cowboy. He is smart, funny, and thoughtful. He is surprised by how attracted he is to Presley’s best friend from Pennsylvania, Angie Benson. They have hooked up twice on her visits to Tennessee and their chemistry is explosive. Now that Angie is back he is determined to prove to her that he is more than a good time and persuade her to stay. Angie decides to give Wyatt 3 months to prove he really wants to make a life with her or she will go back to the life she loves in the city. Angie is intelligent, strong, loving and kind but a city girl to the core. She is not easily convinced she will be happy in Bell Buckle. But Wyatt is the ultimate loyal, protective, honorable man who wants to do right by everyone. He is the perfect mix of southern gentleman, devoted son, brother & lover, and sexy alpha-man. He has never wanted to please a woman like he does Angie and she is unable to resist him, his family, or the towns people. I love the witty banter between them and their chemistry is off the charts. But when tragedy strikes will it be enough to make them stay and fight for each other? Will even his mother and her meddling friends be able to
help them heal their broken hearts? This is such a beautiful, raw and well rounded story that flows so naturally from one scene to the next. There are so many sweet moments but so many intense, heart pounding, and thrilling events as well. I wanted to yell at some points but then melted in others.
We are treated to more of Presley, and Zach’s story and a peek into Trent and Grace’s relationship as well. I loved that Ms. Michaels did not devise angsty moments to drive her story but created a clever and exquisite adventure that I didn’t want to end.
