There are some dark themes in this plot and the story is told from dual points of view. The characters have a lot of emotion and it’s not always happy emotions that they display or experience. The author tells the story in such a way that the reader is missing a major part of the story until the end and this makes for a very intense story.

I’m not sure how to feel about this book. I was engrossed during the whole story, loved the heat that this book packed and the characters were decent. While the story was easy to follow I was still left with feeling things were unresolved. Like when it came to Ava. I mean she makes comments and then nothing comes out of it. I’m not saying that it ruined the story but I just ended confused. I think I understand things but then I feel like I’m overthinking things. When it came to Finity I really wanted to feel her emotions more and with Hudson, I liked him because he was a jerk and he made her suffer (which makes me mean) but I loved that he did it most of the book but slowly opened up to her again. So bring my first book by this author I did enjoy it and would be willing to read more of her books. 4 stars #2OCCJD
Emotionally intense, passionate, & gritty psychological suspense
—>>> Haunted by an event which tested their passionate and deep bond leaves two souls broken apart by misery, regret, and anger. Finity withdraws into herself and slowly spirals spiritually when she is rejected by the love of her life, so much so that she has to be placed in an institution. Seething with warring emotions, Hudson cannot bring himself to even touch his wife. Until an opportunity to observe Finity unnoticed brings dark needs to the surface, which is the only way Hudson can permit himself to feel all that she makes him feel and find an outlet. Finity has a fragile and alluring beauty, however, which brings much more than they both bargained for, but desperation makes for convenient excuses when their souls secretly long to find a way back towards each other, following the dark path dictated by Hudson’s desires.
Say You Love Me is the first book I have read by Sabre Rose and WOW……this book was riveting and a rollercoaster of emotions. The book focuses on the marriage breakdown between Finity and Hudson. This suspenseful romance leaves you guessing as to what has happened between the couple almost until the end of the book. You realize something devastating has happened to Hudson to cause him to express his anger at his wife, however, there is a real plot twist you do not expect. This well written book has intense feelings, raw emotions, mystery, heartbreak, devastating tragedy, intense chemistry, and a fantastic storyline. The novel is one you will not be able to put down. It’s a define five star read and I highly recommend it!

Say You Love Me is an intense, gritty, dark and twisted story that had me captivated from the first page until the last. Finity and Hudson go through so much in this heartbreakingly beautiful story. This is one of those books that had me feeling every emotion this couple had and wanting them to get their happily ever after. You have to read Say You Love Me to fully understand how great a story it is. An intriguing, emotional story and interesting characters make this a five star read.
4.5 stars
1) What worked for me:
-the triggers mentioned were not what I was expecting
-the sex was hot and it included voyuerism
-the twists and turns will keep me up at night
2) What did not work for me:
-naturally, the dark stuff was hard to read
Hudson and Finity’s story is dark, raw, gritty, intense, heartbreaking, haunting and filled with angst mystery, and suspense, which all lead to a powerful story. I went into this story cold, and I am glad I did, as this psychological romance suspense covers a sensitive subject, and showcases the different coping mechanisms which each person experiences after a devastating tragedy. I was intrigued and hooked throughout and look forward to reading more from this talented author.
INESCAPABLE! TWISTED!
WOW! You feel and see every heart pounding word as this amazing story pulls you and holds you captive from start to end. It’s a raw heartfelt powerful explosion of mind playing words riddled with angst mystery and intense chemistry that does a great job of playing with your mind and keeping you eager and on edge unsure of whether to turn the page slow and steady or at a fierce pace. I didn’t like it, I absolutely loved it.
Incredibly powerful. I could write pages about this book, I was spellbound. It evoked all kinds of emotions. I loved how it was predominantly written in the third person, or by soliloquies, describing their own or other people’s actions and feelings so powerfully. It delved into human emotions other books would barely touch upon. My opinion on the characters had changed, as the story progressed as more of the plot was revealed. The author had kept the real cause of Finity and Hudson’s unhappiness hidden for practically ¾ into the book. At times I felt really frustrated but I was totally hooked. I couldn’t put the book down. The level of emotional cruelty, humiliation and dehumanization Finity suffers and puts up with is a testament to her deep, unconditional and never wavering love, loyalty and commitment to her husband. Their love for each other is selfish. He is her lover, her husband, her best and only friend, her whole life really. Is it too much responsibility to bear for a man or a power tool?! She is a severely damaged individual that stems from an unhappy childhood, from losing her father at an early age and being brought up by a mother devoid of any motherly instincts and love for her daughter. Hudson, on the other hand, had always had a loving family and friends. This book at times reads like a behavioural study and the reader is given an appreciation of their motivations and responses. One feels empathy with both of the main characters at different times in the book. Hudson’s inability to forgive is partly due to his refusal to face his own guilt. The storyline seamlessly incorporates a sexual threesome, involving Rylee an ex-addict, a practice that appears to heal Hudson’s aversion to physical contact with his wife. The sex is very steamy and intense but not smutty. The story reveals Hudson’s kink, Finity’s submission and doubts about innocence. You just have to read this book in order to appreciate the level of insight one gets from the story about some of the effects, a devastating tragedy can have on people’s lives and their coping mechanisms to overcome their emotional responses. Near perfect editing further enhanced the experience.

Talk about a punch to the gut. This eviserates you and leaves you gasping for air. I felt wrung out and left blindsided in the aftermath of despair and sorrow. Not sure if this is guilt of neglect or guilt of relief. My mind is swirling with thoughts. Well done.

This was my first book by Sabre Rose. I absolutely loved it. You know from the start that something horrible happened and created a gap between Finity and Hudson. The more chapters I read the more anxious I was to find out what happened. Strong, sad story about so much more than love, but also overcoming tragedy, forgiveness.

I was expecting more from this book. It wasn’t really that dark. Some scenes were really heartbreaking. Hudson treated Finity like crap and railroaded her into the relationship with Rylee. Poor Rylee was caught up in their mess. I kept waiting for Finity to grow a backbone and tell Hudson no and threaten to leave him but she never did. Finity was too blinded by her love for Hudson and just went along with every thing he said because “thats what he wanted”. In my opinion Hudson was very selfish and didn’t consider Finity’s feelings or opinions on anything. He blamed her for something that wasn’t her fault and tortured her for it. I was really disappointed by the ending. They were just going to stay on their never ending marry go round.

Finity and Hudson are a married couple that suffer a loss. They try to find their way back to one another. There is a good amount of mystery, murder, very psychological. Very good book, well written!
