Sometimes father knows best… in Jackson Hole to stay.
Though his ailing father’s dream is to see Tripp happily settled, Tripp doesn’t feel he’s ready to get serious. But when his dad turns Cupid, Tripp convinces a reluctant Adrianna to play along.
Adrianna’s teenage dream is coming true. She and Tripp are spending all their free time together and having fun. The line between pretend and reality is rapidly blurring. Can true love and a future together be far behind?
~This story was originally published as A Jackson Hole Homecoming (as noted on the copyright page) It was updated (WOW-has technology & fashion changed in ten years!) as well as some of the writing was tightened. What hasn’t changed is this is a heartwarming story you’re going to absolutely love!~

A sweet, but steamy, friends-to-lovers story that will pull at your heartstrings as both Tripp and Adrianna discover what the truth is that lies dormant in their hearts. Kirk weaves a deep story about hero Tripp’s underlying heartbreak and guilt that has held him back, as well as heroine Adrianna’s relationship fears. Adrianna searches for the perfect one, all the while denying she found the one years ago.
They agree to a hook-up ruse. Their plan is an innocent and limited relationship to get them through a work-place event, but neither understands the pain they will cause family and friends with their innocent deception. Or the self-inflicted pain they will experience, as each acknowledges to themselves the love they harbor for the other.
Add to the romance, Kirk also continues to do what she does best: build a small-town world, bringing in characters from books one and two.
Although I read this book when it was first released, I had such fun rediscovering the great hero and heroine, the town, and the cast of characters in this wonderful series.
I was given an ARC of this book by the publisher in exchange for a fair and honest review.
Adrianna knew that Tripp was her soul mate but it didn’t come to fruition when he left to live with someone else. Now he is back home after the death of his wife and his father’s illness. When his father turns matchmaker he begs Adrianna to go along with it to appease his father but will putting her heart on line the be the final downfall for Adrianna or will it bring a second chance for a happily ever after?
This book is so far my favorite in the Jackson Hole series. I love the story and the characters. This story is very romantic, sweet and lovely. The characters are strong and amazing. I really enjoy reading this book. I received an Advanced Reader Copy of this book from the publisher and am voluntarily reviewing it.
Adrianne is a nurse midwife, Tripp is the CEO of the Jackson Hole Hospital. Tripp is a widower, Adrianne was neighbors, and friends with his late wife, Gayle. He lost both his wife and their unborn daughter. They pretend date because people make the assumption that they are an item. There is a guy, Winn, that keeps flirting with Adrianne, and wants to be friends with Tripp, but Tripp doesn’t really want to introduce him around. They spend time together, with friends, and with his family. They go on dates, and start a sexual relationship. She overhears some things that she misunderstands, and breaks up with Tripp. After he talks to his Mom and she talks to her friend Betsy, they both realize they made mistakes. He sends her flowers, and they talk.
At the end of the book he asks her a very important question.

This book is #3 in the Jackson Hole series, and is a welcome addition. This novel focused on Adrianna Lee and Tripp Randall. Tripp was married and his pregnant wife Gayle died from a pregnancy complication three years ago. Since that time, he has focused on work. Adrianna had a crush on Tripp in high school and was Gayle’s best friend. Tripp invited Adrianna to accompany him to a hospital fundraiser. At the fundraiser, people, including Tripp’s parents, assumed Adrianna and Trip were a couple. Tripp’s father is recovering from cancer, and when he takes a turn for the worse, Tripp asks Adrianna to maintain their fake coupe status for 30 days until his father improves. Obviously, complications ensue.
Winn Ferris, son of a hospital board member, is a fly in the ointment, and kind of blackmails Tripp to introduce him to the local movers and shakers. Tripp doesn’t like or trust Winn, but is forced to go along with Winn’s plans. Oddly, Winn, his plans, and his threats disappear from the book with no explanation, following a party at Mary Karen and Travis’s house.
Mary Karen and Travis, a “couple” from the previous two books, are presented here as a married couple. I found this disconcerting, but found out that the author has not regained the rights to the book that covers their story and marriage and so that book is not yet part of the Jackson Hole series. I wish in this current book the minor change of making Mary Karen and Travis not married was made, saving their marriage for a future Jackson Hole novel.
I enjoyed this second chance romance, but the Winn Ferris disappearance and the abrupt married status of Mary Karen and Travis I found somewhat disconcerting, dropping my rating to a 4.5. However, 4.5 rounds up to a 5 star review.

Say Yes to a Second Chance is the third in the Jackson Hole series but can also be read as a stand alone story. This is a story of finding the strength to move on and giving love a chance. Adrianna has been in love with Tripp since they were teenagers and he helped her carry branches to the end of the drive, but never revealed her feelings because Tripp was in a relationship with her friend Gayle. Tripp married his high school sweetheart but lost both his wife and unborn child. Adrianna reached out to Tripp and they began a friendship through text messages, now Tripp is back home and old feelings are hard to hide. Their friendship gets complicated when Tripp asks her to pretend to be in a relationship to appease his ailing father. What starts as pretend soon develops into real feelings but old fears arise to cause problems. Watching Adrianna and Tripp’s relationship grow and develop is truly delightful. This story is like coming home and interacting with old friends. I thoroughly enjoyed the range of emotions that the characters and story brought out. I highly recommend this story.
I received an advance reader copy from the publisher but all thoughts and feelings are my own.
Cindy’s talent for getting couples to fall in love is evident in this one! It felt like a lot of starting and stopping on their journey to their HEA, but they made it and all ends well. There are a few too many misunderstandings and coming to false conclusions but still ranks 4 Stars. Just enough spice.

I really enjoyed reading Adrianna and Tripp’s story. It was a sweet story of two people finding each other again after so many years and events had kept them apart. I particularly loved learning that a pivotal moment of the past was one that they shared, not the one-sided event Adrianna believed it to be. I like that the characters, like all of us with our insecurities, misunderstood and misinterpreted their own life events – it was frustrating but true to human nature. There were definitely times that I was glad I knew there would be a happy ending at the end, because it just didn’t seem possible. I really liked the ending, too – it was incredibly sweet. I truly enjoyed this story.

I absolutely loved this sweet romance! Tripp and Adrianna made a connection when they were teenagers. However, the timing wasn’t right. Now that the obstacles are out of the way I loved reading how their relationship came together. Even if that wasn’t what Tripp originally had planned. It made me nervous for Adrianna because I didn’t want her to get hurt. They both enjoy the other one’s company and the walls between them seem to slowly fade as a bond forms that is undeniable. I was so happy to get to the sweet happy ending. I highly recommend this sweet story! You won’t be able to put it down! Adrianna fell in love Tripp when she was an awkward fourteen year old and he was dating her friend Gayle. She now works at the local hospital as a midwife. Tripp is back home in Jackson Hole as the CEO of the hospital, three years after losing his wife and unborn child. Of course, at some point his seriously ailing father mistakes them as a couple and Tripp asks Adrianna to go along for the next 30 days to make his father happy. This is an enjoyable fake relationship romance. I received an Advanced Reader Copy of this book from the publisher and am voluntarily reviewing it.
Another great love story by Cindy Kirk. If you are looking for a quick read that’s lighthearted and fun, this is the book for you. While it is the second in the series, it can be read on its own, as the characters are well-developed and introduced. It’s a fun and enchanting read with a happily-ever-after, as all love stories should!
I received an Advanced Reader’s Copy, but this review is my own!
I received an advanced readers copy of this book and I read it of my own free choice.
OMG!!!! I love this book. Way to hold out for the Love of your life. Adrianna held out hope that from the first look that Tripp was her one and only.
I love the flow of this book. Characters are well defined. Story flows along nicely.
I love how others from the series are reintroduced and filled in more too.
Great series to read. You will be wisked away to Jackson Hole in no time.
