I spent twenty years waiting for Trent Hennington to open his eyes and see me. But it was all for nothing. He chose to keep himself guarded and let me walk away, proving that my time and efforts were wasted.I’m done being invisible. It’s time to move on.A single dance sets my new reality into motion, and I welcome it. After all, Cooper Townsend is perfect. He’s kind, sexy, and attentive – … attentive – everything a girl could want.
I thought I got it right this time. That my heart could mend, and I would be happy. Apparently, some things really are just too hard to walk away from.

LOVED these books!
APPLAUD! Thank you for this beautiful, fervent and hearty.
So to say I loved this would not quite cover how I feel. Tears were shed is an understatement (ugly cry is more like it) BUT this is the first I cry both sad and happy tears. Brilliant!!!
This pulled at my heartstrings early in the story. Proof that a connection with the characters was there.
Trent and Grace were introduced in a previous book. It was wonderful to be able to experience their story.
I love Trent soo hard! Grace is a fantastic women.
I absolutely loved this book. Trent is hot, hot, hot.

Say I’m Yours was the third book in the Corinne Michaels series, Return to Me.
We learned in previous books that Grace Rooney had been in love with Trent Harrington for twenty years. He refused to commit so they’ve been on and off again for the duration. She was thirty six and she finally dumped him for good.
Cooper Townsend had been in love with Grace forever. She loved another man so he waited patiently until she was single without the “On and Off” again relationship she lived with previously. Grace finally agreed to date him and to put Trent in the past.
Trent Harrington said he loved Grace but never had the actions to back it up. He continued to break her heart time and again. Grace finally left him for good and he decided he couldn’t live without her and he was going to prove his love. But his demons didn’t leave and a few more were added so it may not even be possible.
Say I’m Yours was told primarily with a single POV, Grace’s. But we did get another POV starting at the middle of the book. It was well written and well developed with a twist or two. Michaels took us through a triangle without the promise of how it would end. We watched the developments and the reading crowd was split between “team Cooper” and “team Trent.” No spoilers will be revealed here. It’s not your typical triangle but it fit the storyline.
All in all it was enjoyable and entertaining. The stage was set for at least one more book in the series so I can’t wait to see how that plays out.
Love this Corinne Michaels series and highly recommend reading them all. This is the story of Trent and Grace. All I can say is WOW!
Oh, Trent! I wasn’t sure what to think about him at the beginning and was rooting for Grace. She is a strong woman for sure!
Trent slowly, but surely, wormed his into my heart and made me want to be his girl! He was amazing and and loving. This book, same as the previous one, tore my heart out yet was able to glue it back together. Corinne Michaels is swiftly becoming a must read author to me!
Not only good, but great, I have bought the next book to follow and see what happens. Truly a page turner.
Grace and Cooper were amazingly perfect. I mean she did it again. After Zach and Wyatt, I was eagerly waiting for Cooper and Grace’s story. There were part that were angst and than there were so romantic. I was so evolved with a lot of emotions with them that I felt like I was with them there inside the book. I absolutely loved them and definitely worth it.
Another emotional rollercoaster but one I’d ride again. Even the most seemingly perfect family can be harboring secrets that will tear you apart. The Hennington’s are not immune. Grace has loved Trent for nearly all her life but Trent keeps pulling away. Their relationship has become a series of pushes and pulls and finally something has to give or someone has to give up. Does Grace have the strength to keep holding on when all she wants to do is be happy? I often found myself just smiling while listening to the audio and then crying while reading their story.
Okay, so I’ve come to the realization that Corinne’s books REQUIRE tissues! Each book in this series has had me in tears and I keep going back for more because her books consumed me! Trent and Grace’s story was heartbreaking, eye-opening and redeeming! So many times I wanted to smack some sense into Trent and others I was cheering him on. Grace was definitely a strong woman to be so in love with Trent and patient waiting for him to realize what he had!
“This isn’t some spur-of-the-moment thing. This is me not wanting to waste a single minute. This is me wanting you to be mine. This is me finally listenin’ to my heart and needin’ to do right by you. I want to marry you.”
This was an amazing series and one that I highly recommend!
Oh. My. Gawd. She did it again!!
This story was everything. All of the feels plus some I didn’t know I had. I loved Grace! She has a backbone and isn’t afraid to use it. Trent is the most difficult Hennington brother to read but once he opens up, he grabs your heart and doesn’t let go. Grace and Trent’s story isn’t easy but it’s so beautiful and it’s so worth it. 5+stars for this beautiful, feely, amazing, swoony love story that sucks you in until the very last page!
I’ve loved the Hennington men and can’t choose between them, they’re head on with each other but Trent is making it really hard 🙂 Whenever I read a book by Corinne Michaels, I know it’s going to be emotional but also redeeming for my heart 🙂 I loved this one from beginning until end and I’m hoping we’ll get another book in this series! 5 amazing stars for me!
Grace has loved Trent as long as she can remember and wants nothing more than to have what her parents have, a love that lasts a lifetime. But when Trent shuts her out one too many times, she makes a choice to walk away from the only man she has ever saw herself grow old with. It isn’t as easy as it seems, when your heart doesn’t seem to want to listen to your head…
Trent has always wanted Grace but likes the arrangement they seem to have but when doing something stupid one more time, he can’t seem to hold onto her. And when another man comes in to sweep her off her feet and away from him, he doesn’t know what to do with himself.
Will he finally let Grace see his heart or will this be the final end for them…?
Wow! There is so much to love about this second chance romance! Besides swooning over a sexy southern sheriff, I really loved how strong and resilient Grace is. Trent and Grace have been on and off lovers for over 20 years. Trent has always been the only man she ever sees in her future. But when she decides to finally move on so that she can finally have the HEA she has always dreamed of, things get very interesting! I have been watching Trent through this series and have wondered how a man from a loving and supportive family could leave the love of his life hanging for so long. He even said in the first book that he would get serious if he ever really thought that Grace would move on. He made me so mad and I was wondering how Ms. Michaels would be able to redeem him. I don’t know why I would ever doubt her ability, because she expertly revealed his tortured logic and demons that lay beneath his strong, sexy, sweet, and broody exterior. She allowed me to see him so differently, making me fall so very hard for him. I also loved Grace, she is so strong, compassionate, loving and resilient. She is definitely the perfect loyal friend, daughter, and lover. She’s a fighter and I totally want her as my bff! I loved the journey that this story took me on. It was poignant, heartbreaking, heartwarming, funny and passionate. This emotional family saga and sexy second chance romance is a beautiful story that will make you really feel everything. This is story telling at it’s absolute finest. I loved this whole series and am sorry it’s over but can’t wait to see what Ms. Michaels creates next!
Gracie and Trent’s story is so good. He is stubborn and so is she. Cooper Townsend in the picture and it stirs things up. I sure hope Cooper gets his own story. I love the Hennington brothers and wives and the parents. This town is so funny and in everyone’s business. LOVE LOVE LOVE
Say You’re Mine is the final book of this series about the Hennington brothers and it was really good. Not as fabulous as the two previous books.
I loved Grace and her personality. Her wanting and needing more from Trent after all the years he’s been stringing her along. I was expecting and anticipating a lot of groveling and fight from Trent but I didn’t get it which disappointed me. It all happened so quickly that their little break didn’t seem like much. I wanted Trent to fight for Grace but I didn’t get the feeling that he did. That price went to Grace. She went all the way for him and proved to be his rock when he really needed it. I didn’t connect as much with Trent as I did with Zachary and Wyatt and maybe that’s why this book isn’t my favorite of the series. Grace and Trent’s chemistry and connection was amazing because of their decades of history together.
I love the brothers’ relationship. Their bantering , jokes and get together they shared were wonderful and only showed why they’re such a close family.
This was a great ending to the Hennington series. I’m very pleased. It couldn’t have ended any better. I’m really excited about a certain character and his story to be told.
3.5 Stars
Say I’m Yours is the third book in this series, and follows the story of Trent and Grace.
I’ve been fasinated with Trent and Grace since I started this series. The story of how Trent and Grace had been together for twenty years, but their relationship was pretty stagnant. Finally, Grace decides taht she can’t live this way- she deserves more- and ends things. Up steps Cooper Townsend, who has had feelings for Grace for a while. He wants a shot at making Grace happy. Trent, however, sees the error of his ways, and decides that he will do whatever he has to in order to get the woman he loves back.
I loved the plot of this story. I’m a fan of love triangles, so that didn’t bother me. And I liked the characters individually, but I honestly wasn’t a huge fan of Trent and Grace together. I felt like their relationship was toxic for so long. I mean, twenty years together and Trent never said that he loved Grace? While I understand unrequited love, this was a little much for me. Trent had been a jerk about their relationship up to this point, and Grace allowed him to get away with it. I am glad that they were able to move past the past and find their happily ever after. I did appreciate the side plots as well (with Rhett and Macie, in particular), and I loved catching up with the other couples from previous books in this series!
The writing was done very well, as is typical with Corinne Michaels’ books. While this one wasn’t my favorite, I can still see myself rereading it, and I will certainly read more from Corinne Michaels! (Now it’s time for Cooper and Emily’s story in Say You Won’t Let Go!)
“He makes me weak. He makes me stupid. He makes me love him.”
I seriously can’t get enough of both Corinne Michaels or The Hennington boys. Every single time I read a Corinne Michaels book, I’m all over the place. I’m happy and then I’m sad. I’m laughing and then I’m mad. Over and over again, my emotions are so scattered that I’m left numb. In a good way.
I don’t even think there needs to be a recap or summary of the book. I just think you need to know how it made me feel. So let me start with the writing. Corinne’s writing has always been effortless to me. The flow is smooth and everything transitions in a way that allows you to engulf it. Combine that with her powerful and typically angsty storylines and it becomes addicting.
This book can be read as a standalone but this isn’t the first time we have met the eldest Hennington boy. There was always something about Trent that kept us wanting more. Mostly because he was a mystery to us and I felt like I got exactly what I wanted with his story. Ultimately, he has one of the biggest hearts but his actions haven’t really shown that. He has two major reasons on why he’s kept Grace at arms lengths. One will make your heart melt and the other makes you want to punch him. Great combination! I loved that we get to experience him discovering just what he wants (finally) and goes for it. It isn’t always pretty and we get some angsty moments but the outcome is beautiful.
I really liked Grace. She’s known that she’s loved Trent for the past 20 years and although she is mad at herself for allowing him to not fully commit to the full package that she desires, she also doesn’t take his crap. At least not this time. She needed to take a stand and show Trent what he could be missing and while it was hard, she was strong enough to do exactly what needed to be done. I enjoyed watching her fight for herself and for her love for Trent.
Oh, and let’s not forget about Cooper. Seriously? He might be the sweetest person ever and I know there will be a lot of us begging for his story. I’m happy for you to to make sure that it’s me that has a HEA with Cooper. I love my Hennington boys but sadly they are taken. I’ll sign up for Cooper and never look back! Haha
Overall, I loved this book. We get Southern and stubborn men and woman, a love story that is both heartwarming and angsty and a powerfully dynamic family that makes you jealous. Well done, Corinne. Keep them coming. I’ll just be over here with grabby hands not so patiently waiting for your next book that should be about Cooper and how he fell in love with Heather! 🙂
It was an enjoyable read. This has been a wonderful series and I hope there are more books to come. I definitely recommend this book, this series and this author.
What an emotional but great read. You’ll be hooked from the first page. As much as I was angry at Trent in the beginning, I fell in love. How could I not, he’s such a great guy. Love how this story unfolds as well as all the brothers and their wives. And let’s not forget the parents. Gracie, so strong and so in love. Fighting for what you believe in and true love. Another phenomenal read by Corinne Michaels.
Final book of the Hennington brothers gives us Trent. The oldest brother. So set in his ways. Trent and Grace have danced their dance for years with Trent never committing. Grace finally fed up with Trent never committing decides its time to walk away. To get her happy ending. Grace decides to start new with Cooper, (Presley’s brother) and all around great guy. Trent realizing he has to either step up or loose Grace forever finally realizes he cannot live without her. Grace knows deep down her heart will forever belong with Trent.
Great finale for this series. Cooper definitely deserves his own book..
Corinne has once again amazed us with how she combines everyone. Definitely a MUST READ!!
