I love Kristen Proby’s worlds and characters!
I have waited for the last book in the Fusion series. There is something so incredibly special about this group of 5 strong, independent women that is so inspiring. While they never needed a guy in their lives, they have all managed to find one that complements and enhances who they are. I have waited patiently for Mia’s story from the beginning, and Kristen Proby wrote her to perfection!
Mia is the executive chef at Seduction, the restaurant that she started with four other women (if you haven’t met them yet, you definitely need to!). She is a hard worker, with high expectations and doesn’t allow anything but the best to work with her in her kitchen. The other women are approached about featuring Seduction in a TV special, and that goes so well, the TV network wants to expand it to a cooking competition. While Mia is not sold on the idea, the other owners are looking forward to the exposure. But when Mia finds out that the other competitor is none other than Camden Sawyer, her ex-husband, she is even more against it. Camden, however, is looking forward to it. Neither he nor Mia ever really got over each other, and once they meet up again, sparks fly, love blooms, and happiness evolves. Their chemistry is off the charts! And Camden, who is still as hot as ever, wants to do whatever he can to have Mia back in his life.
I absolutely love these two! I think I related to Mia the most of all the women- she has insecurities about her weight, and while she is confident in who she is, the outer world can be harsh, even the ones you love the most. Kristen Proby handled this so well, wrote such a strong character, despite her insecurities, that Mia truly came to life for me. And Camden- I absolutely love that he put Mia on such a pedestal, right where she belongs. She was a priority right from the start.
Savor You was the perfect ending to this series! I loved the epilogue, gaining understanding of where these women end up with their happily ever afters. I hope that Kristen Proby will someday consider writing a novella of some sort allowing these characters the chance to shine some more. I highly recommend this book, and this series!!
There is always something bittersweet about the ending of a series. I was so looking forward to Mia’s story and I wasn’t disappointed but now I am sad because this series has come to a close and I LOVED the Fusion Series!!!
Savor You was another great addition to the Fusion Series and I think it completed the series perfectly. I have loved this group of ladies from the very beginning and it has been a thrill to read each of their stories. I have to say I think I connected with Mia’s story the most. I enjoy reading stories that have a heroine who isn’t the size of a model and has curves. Mia had some insecurities when it came to how she looked and I could totally relate to that. I absolutely LOVED Camden. He was sweet, patient and understanding. The man made me swoon all the way through this book!!!
Savor You is the 5th and final book in the Fusion Series by Kristen Proby. It a standalone novel but we do have reoccurring characters, whose stories kind of continue in this book. My recommendation would be to read this series in order. This book is told in Dual POV and is a fun and entertaining storyline. This is a second chance romance. This is fairly quick read but it truly lacked for nothing. The flow and pace of the story was perfect and I was totally swept away by this book. I had a hard time putting it down.
In this novel we follow Mia and Camden. Mia is the fifth co-owner of Seduction. A restaurant Mia and her 4 other friends opened. Mia runs the kitchen and is kind of obsessed with running the kitchen her way!! Mia has some trust issues. Mia is probably one of my favorite heroines in this series. One because she isn’t the typical heroine we see in books, but she is sassy, and spunky too. Camden is a celebrity chef who was hired to be on a TV show with Mia featuring Seduction. What no one knows is that Mia and Camden have a history together and it didn’t end the best way. So to say Mia wasn’t happy to be working with Camden again is putting it mildly. Can these two work past their past?? Can they get their HEA as well?? Read this fun and sexy story to find out.
I loved seeing all of the other girls and then men they fell in love with in this story. It was fun catching up with each couple and seeing where this series has taken them. I thought the epilogue to this book wrapped up the series perfectly!! I will miss these ladies!
I would 100% recommend this series to every reader out there. Definitely one of my all time favorite series to read and I know I will be reading them again in the future!!!
I’ve got to admit that reading Savor You was a bittersweet moment. I’m absolutely stoked to finally get Mia and Camden’s story (and oh, what a great story it is), but it’s also the end of the Fusion series and the idea of not having another installment with the lovely ladies of Seduction truly makes my heart sad.
But really, that’s the only thing I’m sad about because Kristen Proby delivers another great read with the final installment of the Seduction series! Throughout all the other books she’s made you just fall in love with these characters and this final meet up with old friends truly couldn’t have been any better.
Mia and Camden were just perfect together, I mean it, they were just everything…all the things!! I’m so glad to finally get her backstory to find out why Mia is who she is and Camden…oh, Camden was perfect. Truly; some of the things he said and his actions just melted my heart. They both went through so much to finally make their happily ever after a reality and I honestly couldn’t be happier with the end of the series. I cannot wait to see what Proby has lined up for us next!
What a Lovely ending to this series…Mia and Camden’s story is a second chance romance and I really adored it.
Its is such a sweet and sexy story and I couldn’t get enough.
Mia and Camden have history a complicated history as they were once married but Mia ran away and now its 10 years later and they now have to work together,on a cooking show they will star in together.
The attraction is still very much there and it is only a matter of time before they give into that attraction.
I Love Camden he is so sweet and understanding and I loved the way he loves Mia,even when she doesn’t love herself properly.
This series has been such a delight to read and I am sort of sad that it has ended.
A Wonderful book and a fantastic series.
I highly recommend it.
5 Stars.
Love Kristen Proby! Love this series. If you haven’t read this series I highly recommend.
Second chances never tasted SO good! Savor You is my favorite in the Fusion series and my heart is filled with so much happiness after listening to Mia and Camden’s story. Reunited after years apart brings feelings, both good and bad, back to the surface. When they’re forced to work in close proximity for a new cooking show, they attempt a fresh start, but that can only last so long until they get closure for past mistakes. With minimal drama, plenty of romance and laughter, a chance to interact with characters from previous books in the series – I was completely enamored with this story, from start to finish. I love the Fusion series and it’s a definite must-read (or listen!)
I could not put this boos down.
I was hooked on the Fusion series by Kristen Proby that I had to check out the fifth installment called “Savor You.” In “Savor You”, you meet Mia Palazzo. Mia loves cooking and it’s a huge passion for her. She built a stellar menu full of delicious and sexy meals for her restaurant, Seduction. In a few years of it opening the restaurant was asked to be featured on Best Bites TV. The problem starts when Camden Sawyer walks into her life. Camden’s celebrity chef status is world-renowned. He is the best there is and the kitchen is where he is at home. He can’t resist the invite to Portland to have a showdown with Mia. As Mia and Camden face off, neither realize how high the stakes are as their reputations are put on the line and their hearts are put to the test.
I seriously love the way that Kristen Proby writes this series and how they build up on each other. You meet Mia, in the other books of the series but when you get to her book all is thrown down. The characters in this book are well rounded and have many flaws as well as many good things about them. I love how Mia is such a hard worker that she can’t even stop until her friends pull her out of it. It’s a great story and love how the romance builds and not all of sudden. You see it as a reader building and getting stronger. You also see when it is challenged just like a real relationship. This book is amazing and will keep you up late at night reading. As it did me when I read it within a day.
I luv this series!!
Yes finally it’s feisty Mia’s turn. I ‘ve been looking forward to getting to know Mia since this series started. As the series has grown we have gotten to know her more she is sassy feisty stubborn passionate and needs things done her way. She is a brilliant character. Mia keeps the rest of the girls in there toes. But this book you get to see who Mia really is and what happened with Camden. The ex she was goin to start working with and that she had history with. Memories are getting to dug up from her past and she has to explain it all to her 4 best friends as well. To make things worse Camden still looks amazing and her feels for him were just has strong has they were years ago if stronger now.
Camden is such a great guy. He mite even be my favourite man in this series. Which is hard cause these men are all so good. But these woman need good men there so strong and protective of each other and really kick butt in the restaurant world. I really do luv strong woman there isn’t one of them that I don’t like. But back to Camden. I really liked the way that Camden dealt with seeing Mia again after his things were left between. He needed answers and he was goin to get them. He isn’t a pushy guy but he isn’t a walk over either. He knew Mia needed space so he let her have even though he really wanted to know why thing went a lil crazy between them.
I really enjoyed this book. Finally seeing Mia start to relax and let people help was so good I never thought that she could do. I love how Camden just worked his way back into her life. He knew that he wanted another shot so your was taking what was taken from him and that was Mia. Sometime Mia is her own worst enemy her confidence is strong and being a chief is what she knows and loves it’s what’s give her the lil confidence she has. But Camden helped build that up for her he is Mr Prefect. The way he treats her and understands her is so good. I thought there story was great Mid deserves a good man to look after her.
I would highly recommend this book and series, basically anything from this author. I luv her books. I’ve read everyone of her books and luvd all of them. Her books just keep getting better and better. I’m gutted this series is over its one of my favourites. I love the girl power in this series. The 5 woman are so good at what they do at Seduction. I really like how strong and different all the woman are. It made me love this series more. I couldn’t put the books down once I started them and this book was no different. I really enjoyed it.
“Savor You”, the final Fusion book, was by far my favorite book in a series that has been pretty hit or miss for me. Maybe it was because by the end of the series, all the main and supporting characters were developed enough that I found them enjoyable and was somewhat attached to them. Or it could be that this one had a plot that was engaging. Or maybe that’s just because I’m obsessed with food and culinary television shows. Whatever the cause, I found myself eating this one up.
It’s been ten years since Mia left Camden with just a note and an annulment. They were young and just roommates who occasionally slept together, so Mia thought she was doing both of them a favor by running away when she found out that the pregnancy that led them to quickie wedding was just a false positive. Now that Mia’s restaurant has hit the level of fame that a television network wants to feature her on a cooking competition show, she’s faced with having to see Camden, the culinary world’s favorite handsome tv chef, again, this time as her competition. But it doesn’t take long before they realize the chemistry they experienced in college still burns strong and the kitchen isn’t the only thing that’s heating up between them…
I think the thing that I enjoyed the most about this book was the history between Mia and Camden. The fact that they had history and didn’t leave their relationship on good terms made for brief drama and intriguing backstory, but I loved that Proby didn’t make that the main focus of the story. So often second chance romances have them either immediately in love again or at each other’s throats. I liked that while it didn’t necessarily make for good book conflict, it felt very real and mature that Mia and Camden settled into friendship and an easiness together before anything else. They weren’t just enemies that hated each other, instead they didn’t hold grudges or act stupid and childish. They did their jobs and then eventually old feelings flourished again, especially after they talked. Just the fact that they actually talked about their problems and had an adult discussion instead of unilaterally making decisions or just making assumptions made me so happy and I found it utterly refreshing in both this series and the romance genre in general.
Mia and Camden were just so likable, which compelled me to read as fast as possible to get to their happily ever after. I absolutely adored their working relationship in the kitchen and found the reemergence of their friendship and then romantic relationship very believable. And I really appreciated that Camden was super in love with Mia just the way she was. The constant conversations about her weight did start to be… a bit much, especially when her parents were involved and were making comments about her hips and making her sugar-free desserts. But I appreciated that it wasn’t a big deal with Camden. He didn’t love her despite her size, it didn’t play into his attraction for her, it was just who she was, and he was very supportive of her no matter what.
And while, other than a brief conflict at the end, this book was mostly fluff plot wise, I was okay with it because I felt like the characters still had character arcs. Mia in particular grew and developed, no super dark and seemingly out of place contrived drama necessary. The mild conflict that did exist was wrapped up quickly and without too much harm and fit well into the plot overall. It was a cute and charming second chance romance with just enough fun and heart to leave me with happy feelings about this series overall.
Also, shoutout to Kristen Proby for referencing Iliza Shlesinger, my favorite comedian ever. The fact that Mia and Camden went to one of Iliza’s shows and proceeded to quote one of my favorite bits from her just gave me all the happy feelings and was a fun little easter egg.
5 out of 5 stars
Mia and Camden stole the show. Though I haven’t read the rest of the Fusion series, I read and LOVED every one of the With Me In Seattle Books. I’ve listened to almost all of the Boudreaux series on Audible. All of those characters have long been some of my favorites — and now she’s hit with more. I will definitely have to go back and read the other books in this series because Mia and Camden made me want more!!
They have a history. It’s complicated. They don’t know what to do with each other when they’re forced to work together on a new cooking show, but the old sparks can’t be put out and their attraction hasn’t tamed any. This story is hot from the beginning and made my heart happy throughout.
I loved Camden’s forceful nature:
“And I’m going to kiss you.”
“Are you sure that’s a good idea?”
“Honestly?” I move between her legs, pressing closer. “I don’t give a **** if it’s a good idea. I’m going to do it, and I’m doing it now. So if you’re going to say no, you’d better say it now.”
I loved Mia’s softness, but still strong character. She realizes she made a mistake and she sets out to right it. I loved this story and can’t wait to read more! Whatever Ms. Proby writes, I’m ready to devour it!!
*** I voluntarily read a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review ***
Love the series
Enjoyed this book as much as all of the others in the series.
Five “It’s too early for your smolder…”stars
I really love this series. This is a story about Mia and Camden. It’s also friends to lovers story, roommates falling in love story and second chance at love. This story has depth and I love this author’s writing and how she develops her characters and plot.
I adore Mia and Camden. They are such a great couple and characters. I love that this book indicates how much communication is the key to everything. I love how Camden is treating Mia and how loving and understanding he is; how honest with each other they are and how he wants to communicate so there aren’t misunderstandings anymore. Such a sweet couple. I love how similar they are and how Camden calms her and tries to make her see how beautiful she is despite her having self esteem issues. I love their love and devotion for each other.
I loved the epilogue and how everything ended.
What a great book and everything I could have hoped for in this wonderful series. I was dying for Mia’s book and Kirsten Proby did not disappoint at all. I really loved Mia and it was great seeing the kind of woman that she was and really getting to know her. She is a very caring, strong, and motivated woman. She is so passionate about cooking and expects that from others. Camden was so great and perfect for Mia. I like that this is really a second chance romance because Mia and Camden have some history. Camden is so understanding of the kind of woman Mia and is so supportive of her. I loved their shared passion for cooking and they were so friggin cute together.
I swooned over these two. I was happy for Mia to get her happy ending. She really deserved it and I loved getting her book last. I love this close-knit group of woman who are always supporting each other and growing their families. I just really loved this book.
I love this series and I am thrilled with Mia’s story! Second chance love story, control freaks learning to delegate, a man who loves a woman as she is….Savor You is everything I hoped it would be! Camden is delicious and Mia is fantabulous! I love this little world. I hope Seduction makes cameos in future works.
While I didn’t agree with Mia’s immature way of leaving Camden years ago, I was happy they had a second opportunity to reconnect. Another fun part of this series-the close friendship between the girls. They dish out as good as they get, but always know they have each other’s backs. Overall, this story was sugary sweet with a well-deserved HEA!
Audio Review from 2018
I adored this story!! Camden is just what Mia needed!! He’s her calming influence.
Their love story was adorable and the epilogue was total smile and giggle worthy!
As with all of her books, Kristen brought me back to the world of seduction and I was hooked! Mia’s story was funny, sexy, and passionate. I loved it.
