There’s lots of reasons why I love reading Gwen Rivers’ books. With Savior’s Hex, it’s everything… the characters, the choices, consequences, the urban Fae and werewolf storyline, the flow of the story, the writing style and, of course, the tentative and blushing love story between Emma and Liam. Best of all there’s no damn cliffhanger. Yes, the story isn’t over yet; but some things are resolved and there’s a hint at what may happen which makes me extremely happy and excited.
Liam and Emma are so good together, but everything seems to be against them. Liam knows that he has found his mate; but Emma is skeptical and has plans of her own. All of the characters continue to grow, becoming more solid and multi dimensional with difficult choices to be made and consequences to bare. There is love and loss. Fear and bravery. Truth and lies. Honesty and trickery. There is a building up and a tearing down. There’s also a coming together and a tearing apart.
The story is action packed with little room for respite to the point that it was difficult to put the book down. Two worlds are on a collision course…human and Fae and yet there is hope flowing through Emma.
Savior’s Hex is the second book in this Urban Fae and Werewolf series. This series is a spin off from the Unseelie Court series; but you do not have to read Unseelie before embarking on this fantastical urban journey of fae, werewolf and human that takes place in Manhattan. I do encourage you to read the Unseelie Court, though, beginning with the Goodnight Kiss. Sometimes it’s good to go back to the beginning to understand how it all began.
A must read for modern times! I wish I had the right words to say how much I love Gwen Rivers’s newest urban fantasy series, Spellcaster! Savior’s Hex, the 2nd book of the series offers us adventure, romance, and spine-tingling suspense combined with amazing, multidimensional characters who will steal your heart. I love the people. Yes, not just characters, but people!
This is the second book of the “Fae and Fur Urban Fantasy” series. I enjoy these tales a lot. Gwen Rivers’ has written an exciting and convoluted mystery in which Emma Slade and Liam Cooper need to work together to solve. I am looking forward to the next book in the series. I recommend this series to others. Jacqueline Rendell’s narration is great, and she adds to the story’s entertainment. I was given a free copy of the audiobook and I have voluntarily left this review.
Savior’s Hex by Gwen Rivers is a paranormal romance that I listened to on audio narrated by Jacqueline Rendell. This is the second book in the Spellcaster Series.
This is the second book of Gwen’s that I have read and it definitely won’t be my last. I absolutely loved all the characters. I cannot wait for the third book in the series Savior’s Curse to be released so I can get more of Liam and Emma’s story.
Jacqueline did a great job on the narration. I look forward to listening to more of her projects in the future.
I would highly recommend this series if you love Paranormal Romances.

This is a gripping story that will have you glued to your seat from the very start! With a fantastic storyline and even better characters theres action, adventure, suspense, romance and twists and turns galore to keep you hook!

This story is fast paced paranormal, action and some romance. In Savior Hex it continues on about Emma. Again she must protect the Fae and go to Asgard. Will she be able to save them or will she fail? Will Emma and Liam finally gave in to each other or will Emma still fight the attraction that she has with Liam? I recommend this book. I can’t wait for the next book of Emma’s and Liam’s story.

I enjoyed this book. The characters were good. The story flowed well. I do wish that I had read the first book in this series, but it didn’t stop my enjoyment of this book. Job well done Gwen Rivers!

wow! could the second book be better than the first?! love this series!!
“Everything you seek will rise up to meet you”
Emma Slade: Savior of the world! But don’t tell her that… Life is complicated enough as it is! Liam, her mate and his assistant North along with Liam’s pack of werewolves are smack dad in the middle of NYC, as they got “locked out” of the Pocket Realm. Can they get back in? And, in the meantime, can they tamper down the mortals’ fear / obsession with the fae? And what if she/they can’t? Are lives in danger? From who? Or better yet what: Gods? Mortals? Mythological creatures? Themselves?
In the second book of the Spellcaster Series, Gwen Rivers takes us on a wonder-filled journey where fears are conquered, friendships strengthened, love is a choice and revenge simmers inside of unawakened heros. It is a strange journey, one that will be glad you came along. High;y Recommended.5/5

Emma and Liam investigate a murder and this leads to another gripping adventure. I can’t tell too much as not to spoil it but I really enjoyed this second book of the Spellcaster series.
The series is a spin-off from the Unseelie Court-series, but it is not really neccessary to read that first. I do highly recommend though!
