Eden has written another masterpiece. It was difficult at times to read about the horrors Penny had faced over the years. But the one thing that kept me going was the Penny’s strength. I also really loved the relationship between her and Luca. I can’t wait to see what happens in the next book.
This book was worth the wait! Here we have Luca and Penny’s story and I have to say it’s a lot darker than the others in the series.
I really don’t want to give too much away but know that Eden Summers does not disappoint!
I’m intrigued to see how the rest of the story pans out.
Savior – Eden Summers
Absolutely mind blowing!
From the moment I opened this book I could not put it down. Savior is a two part duet in which we the reader finally meet Penny. If you have read Decker and Torian you will understand why everyone has waited for this story.
The first few chapters give you the opposite side of several of the last chapters of the previous book Torian and we now get Penny and Luca’s point of view about the showdown between Luther and Cole.
It moves so quickly that at one point I thought I’d only been reading for a half hour when in fact I was three quarters of the way through this story. Each event brings newer more in depth emotions to the reader.
How did she survive the torment, the degradation, the absolute hell she went through? Will she be able to trust anyone again ever?
I can’t say enough about this story. It isn’t a love story by any means but it is the story behind a woman who was trapped, beaten, used, physically and sexually punished and more; yet it shows her inner strength and her ability to care for those who were not as strong as her.
Now that we know Penny and we are aware of the support she is going to need we wait patiently for the second part of this duet to see if Penny’s savior, Luca can be the person she needs to move back into the world.
I was given and Advance Reader Copy of this book and the review above are my own thoughts and words.
i feel before i start this review i should add a trigger warning, this book is darker than the previous books in the series, if you have already read torian and decker you will be aware of penny’s story, if you haven’t and have had any kind of abuse in your past this book might be a difficult read in places,(although not unnecessary graphic the subject mater might be trigger enough)
i enjoyed this book but its one serious emotional roller coaster, within a single page you can go though a whole tornado of emotions, i don’t there is a single emotion i didn’t experience and some point, while the book is mostly penny’s story i find luca a much more complex character then i had expected, the sign of any good book is when you feel the need to climb inside and save people and this happened so often,
i cant wait for the next instalment 🙂
Once again Eden does not disappoint! Her books just keep getting better and better
So we jump right back in to this story with Penny in Luther’s clutches, my heart breaks for everything her and the girls have gone through, as a reader you can really feel their fear towards Luther. I forgot how much of a monster he is
I love that the girls stick together in a ‘sisterhood’ to keep each other going, many books that cover these sort of characters are usually bitchy and hate each other so it was nice to see them all looking out for each other with Penny being a mother hen even if she didn’t feel like it herself.
There is no hope for escape, no hero coming to save them, “optimism’s wings clipped” until Luca but man does he have his work cut out for him, trust doesn’t come easy to Penny anymore
We also see our beloved men in action once again, Torian, Hunter, Decker and Luca do not disappoint
The story and action was fast paced, I was turning pages like a mad woman, I couldn’t get enough and not even ashamed to say I devoured the book in a day
Thank you for another amazing story Eden! Can’t wait for the next book to find out how Penny and Luca are getting along
I was lucky enough to receive an ARC and this is my honest review
Savior, the first book in the duet about Penny and Luca, from the Hunting Her series.
If you read Torian, you know briefly about Penny and Luca, and their connection. In Savior, we get Penny’s side of the story, and it’s accompany by Luca’s POV.
I think the author did an amazing job with this one. Such a dark and dangerous world to write about, yet she managed to fill it with understanding, warmth and feelings. I can’t wait to read the conclusion of the duet!
Never disappointed!!! I thought the thrill and action of Torian would not be equaled.. but this book is just as good. Another POV, but same adrenaline rush. Now with Penny and Luca as the main characters. Human trafficking and violence. Slow burn romence… revenge… saving… freedom… awesome ending. But no worries, there’s part 2 and I can’t wait to read it.
Savior is the fourth book in the Hunting Her Series, a suspenseful Romantic Suspense. I love the cover! Luca and Penny’s story is captivating! Penny is strong, beautiful, smart, caring, but extremely damaged. Luca is handsome, protective, supportive, and caring. The supporting characters are great. I love these Series with intertwined characters. The storyline is intense, captivating, and suspenseful. This isn’t a story for the faint-hearted. Not at all! My heart was broken for Penny, her ”sisters” in hell, and for the little Tobias. This story had me completely hooked from the first page to the end. Impossible to stop listening! and OMG! THAT ending!! I need the next book in the Series, ASAP! DC Cole and Laura Jennings did an outstanding job with the narration. DC Cole is already one of my favorite narrators. Laura Jennings is a new narrator to me. She has a great voice. They are both perfect as Luca and Penny. Looking forward to listen to more books written by Eden Summers, and read by DC Cole and Laura Jennings. I enjoyed it, and I HIGHLY recommend it!
Wow! Even having known what was happening, seeing it all play out from Penny & Luca’s POV was eye opening. I felt so many emotions from beginning to end of this book, & well, I’ll be holding my breath until Luca’s book. Great book, great characters, amazing story.
This is book number 4 in the Hunting Her Series. Penny was taken against her will and is doing everything she can to stay alive and stay out of trouble. Penny’s life changes when Luca walks into it and he will do everything he can to save her. Penny has a hard time trusting Luca because she doesn’t trust that easily. This book is full of drama, action and some twists and turns. We don’t get all of Luca and Penny’s story in this book so we will have to wait and see what happens to these two.
I received an advanced copy of this book in exchange for a honest review.
This is part of a duet so do not expect resolution in this story. Also, if you have not read the earlier books, you will be lost.
In this story, we learn part of Penny’s story and find out her original identity, before she was forced into slavery. It is all told from both her and Lucas’ POV. There are some pretty awful moments here—I mean, Penny is a sex slave so there is no way around that. The story is brutal and frank and shows her mentality very well. She tries valiantly to protect everyone around her, but has no clue how to deal with someone like Lucas who only wants to help her. The book is very different from the others, but I think it had to be given everything that happens in them and this one.
I received an ARC of this book in exchange for my honest review. A tension-filled story. The first part of this book is an overlap with the last part of Torian. I loved getting to read the same part of the story from a different perspective.
Penny is not just Luther’s captive and play thing, she is a friend and mother figure to the other girls in Luther’s house, but most of all to Tobias, Luther’s young son. Luca comes with Cole Torian, Luther’s son, to save Penny and the other captives, and take down Luther’s sex slave operation. He wants, no needs, to save Penny, but will she trust him? Can he save her?
Wow! Savior, the fourth book in the Hunting Her series, does not disappoint! I was prepared for a good story, but this one was excellent. I could not put this book down! The depth of emotions kept me reading long after I should have went to bed. I don’t know how Eden keeps coming up with these amazing stories and characters! I can’t wait for the next book!
Savior
Hunting Her
By: Eden Summers
Narrated by: D. C. Cole, Laura Jennings
Penny. What an amazing character. Eden Summers takes us back to the island where Penny is with Luther. All the horror and fear still ringing in my ears, Summers dives in full force as we get Penny and Luca’s story. I was taken in with Penny’s strength and tenacity to do what it takes to stay alive and protect the other women. When Luca comes in, trust is difficult to give, but this persuasive, protective man may be the answer between life and death. With intensely, suspenseful scenes, I was pulled into the story and captivated by all the tragedy. I love the continuity of the series as we see Hunter, Decker and Torian as well as Cole. I absolutely loved this first part and it has left me wanting the rest! I will definitely be diving in soon.
DC Cole and Laura Jennings are our story tellers for this fantastic, romantic suspense. Cole comes through as Luca with such compassion and patience, yet always has that protective vibe to his voice. Jennings gives Penny a complexity that is so intuitive to her character, that you would think she is her. This team is bringing the series to life and I am loving it!

Fabulous series, addictive characters and compellingly storyline. You’ll be captivated by the characters and once you start reading you cannot stop!! brilliant thanks Eden x
What an incredible series. It keeps my heart racing as I feel like I’m experiencing all the intense emotions for each of these amazing characters. Penny had been sold as a sex slave and became Luther’s favorite. We finally get to experience this ordeal through her eyes as she is saved but yet, she is so broken that she truly doesn’t understand that she can be free. Luca has the challenge of getting her to trust him as well as Sebastian and Cole. Knowing she would see her brother again is horrifying, this allowed me to understand the levels she had gone to in her mind to survive the horror of the world she found herself in. Luca shows incredible compassion while keeping his focus on the task at hand. I love that Penny won’t leave behind the other woman at Luther’s home no matter what the cost to her. How she survived everything that she endured is mind-blowing. But it’s almost as if the biggest battle is yet to be fought as she steps back into a ‘normal’ life. How does she trust again? So excited for the next book to see how this crazy fabulous roller coaster ends.
I’ve enjoyed this series from the start and Savior is another fantastic addition. It continues from Torian and will take you on an emotional roller-coaster ride designed to tug at your heartstrings. This was a fast paced plot that was dark, gritty and raw as it touches on sex trafficking and abuse and the ramifications and struggles of dealing with life after. The story was suspenseful and will have you turning the pages to see what happens next.
The characters will consume you, Penny with her strength yet at the same time broken and vulnerable with all the abuse she experienced and Luca with his protectiveness.
While there was little if any romance, this was part one of Luca and Penny’s duet. As expected it ends in a cliff hanger and I can’t wait for the next book to see how it all plays out. This was a great continuation to this series.
I loved being back in this world with Torian, Hunter, Decker and the girls.
This story for me was one of the important ones of the series because you got a slight look at what Penny had been through, for what she went through i don’t know if it was shock or what but she was such a strong character and she reacted to all the events how anyone in her position would act.
Lucas was another brilliant character, he was so protective of Penny straight away but also for what all the girls had been through and he wanted to take down Torians fathers operations and he was so passionate about it.
I really loved this book it was full of actions and drama and i just didn’t want it to end and i am so glad that we get another book for these two as their story has only just begun.
As i said i loved being back in this world of corruption and the broody men and i must admit i loved Tobias, you just really felt for him and i loved the connection that him and Penny had.
Can’t wait to get into the next book Lucas another fantastic read by eden summers
This is book 4 in the Hunting Her series and it features Penny and Luca. They had a rocky start. She had been kidnapped and forced to be a sex slave to Luther Torian. Penny has given up. She is resigned to the fact that this is her life, even though she keeps hope alive for the other girls Luther keeps. The moment Luca meets Penny, he knows who she is and vows to help her, even though she doesn’t believe him. Her life is heartbreaking. The things she must endure are horrendous. This is no romance but a telling of Penny’s life after meeting Luca. She’s much too damaged and jaded for any kind of romance… YET.
Brilliant writing! Amazing story line and the characters are all fantastic! What a ride this first half of Penny and Luca’s story has been. I’m waiting on the edge of my seat for the next book in their emotional story.
I knew this book would be good, but it blew my socks off! Penny is kick-a$$, and Luca? Swoon. I think this is my favorite of the series thus far, but just to be sure, I’m going to go back and re-read the first 3. 😉 Great job, Eden!
