How far will they go to make the enigmatic royal theirs?

This is a different take on the classic fairy tale, Sleeping Beauty. It is a twisted fairy tale, and a dark version of the classic.
Arianna is the princess cursed at birth. There are girls disappearing in the kingdom, and Apollo and Ares are the two heroes tasked with finding the culprit. Arianna is strong and determined, but she is no match for these two! Make sure you have nowhere to go and plenty of time to finish, because you won’t want to put it down! It will draw you in from the beginning, and keep you captivated page after page.
There is a lot of backstory and information about Apollo and Ares, but I think that it just adds to the story and explains a lot.
I highly recommend reading this book, and then any others by KL Donn!
I voluntarily read and reviewed an ARC of this book.
Imprisoned is a new fairy tale book By KL Donn, it’s completely different from most of her other books BUT just as good. A Fairy Tale with a gripping story that keeps you turning each page wondering what could happen next. Arianna is the princess of Graeline and when trouble happens they ask for help from the men they know can help Matthew and Asher. What follows is a magical sexy story
Imprisoned took me by storm! I love fairytale adaptions to romance novels and have read quite a few. But, I have never read one like Imprisoned before! This story was the perfect KL Donn storm for me. We get strong characters from her Task Force Series but with Sleeping Beauty vibes throughout and ménage . I loved the blend of the worlds because it was seamless. Did I mention we get ménage? Oh good heaven it was awesome to have that ménage magic thrown in the story because it brought me back to when I first discovered KL Donn! Cannot even begin to describe my need for the next book!
So this is part of the Sinister fairy-Tale collection.
“Imprisoned” is a modern fairy-tale retelling with a supernatural slant.
It’s loosely based on Sleeping Beauty and is a menage instalove romantic suspense.
It’s not a dark romance but does have some dark content included.
So it’s set in the fictional kingdom of Graeline which is situated on a small independent island between Scotland and Ireland.
Arianna is the princess here and is under the influence of a curse.
There are also young girls going missing, suspected human trafficking so Matthew and Asher codenames Ares and Apollo are drafted in to discover just what is happening here.
Ares and Apollo are brothers bonded through the sheer hell they have endured they are also Ari’s only chance of escaping her kidnappers when she is spirited away from her home.
This seems to tie into with another of this author’s series though this is a standalone read so can be enjoyed separately.
It is told from several POV’s and it did feel a tad choppy at times.
I also didn’t connect that deeply with the characters involved here, there was just something for me that was slightly missing overall.
I still enjoyed this though and found it to be imaginative.
The Princess assisting in her own rescue and getting two handsome Prince’s was also a bonus.
I voluntary reviewed a copy of Imprisoned.

Woah… This wasn’t what I expected and it seems I have said that a lot about all these amazing books in this multiple-author collection. These retellings of well-known childhood fairytales are blowing my mind… In all the best ways and Imprisoned was nothing less than amazing.
Imprisoned in the retelling of Sleeping Beauty but this is no childhood fairytale. This is full of darkness and heat.
I won’t dive into the plot too much, but I will say I loved Apollo, Ares, and Arianna!
Apollo and Ares’s relationship is strong, they are so close and loyal and their bond is like no other. Add in Arianna and it just gets even more intense and amazing. Arianna was innocent and everything in the world. She was strong and fierce too, that shined through as the book progressed. She was innocent, yes, but she has craving… delicious and dirty but and she instantly connected with both men so well.
I just loved this story so much! There were so many twists and turns in this that I didn’t see coming. The darkness laced throughout this plot was intense and keep me on my toes. My heart was pounding throughout the book. Not knowing where the author was taking us with this!
This was truly amazing, addictive and consumed from page one. I can’t recommend this enough!
5 Stars!
This is the newest addition to the Sinister Fairy Tales. It is a dark twist on the fairytale, Sleeping Beauty and I absolutely loved it. It has a paranormal spin on it.
In this story, we get three strong characters – Arianna, Ares, and Apollo. Arianna is no shrinking violet, and Ares & Apollo are alpha, sinfully sexy, & charming. The romance between Arianna and Asher and Matthew is not conventional but it is so full of passion, love, and steam. They had a great dynamic, and their connection worked for me.
The plot is well-written. It captured and kept my attention from start to finish. There were twists and turns that I did not see coming which kept it interesting. If you like dark fairytales with a touch of Greek mythology, this book is for you!

This was a great retelling of Sleeping Beauty.
Arianna is the princess of Graeline. She has been very sheltered most of her life because of a curse put on her by an evil mage. Even though she has been sheltered I wouldn’t call her coy because she is very feisty, and strong willed.
Ares, and Apollo are brought in to help the country of Graeline. What they don’t expect is Princess Arianna. These two men are anything but Princes Charming. They are hard around the edges, ALPHA males that protect what is theirs. These two have also be through H*** and back.
I loved this retelling because it was more on the darker side but not to dark. The twist of the story kept me engaged and wanting more. The interaction between all of the characters was spot on.
I can’t wait for more of the Sinister Fairy Tales books.
I’m not sure how to write this review because I wanted to love this book as much as I loved the other ones but sadly I did not. Imprisoned is the retelling of Sleeping beauty, but trust, when I say it’s nothing like Sleeping Beauty, Apollo, Ares, and Ari relationship, happens super fast. In fact, in a lot of ways the relationship between the three feel rushed. It has Dark elements but is not all that dark overall the story was good it just needed something more.
Another fabulous addition to the collection!! I was really looking forward to this one and it didn’t disappoint. It was dark & suspenseful but also humorous & sweet…..all of that rolled up into a very entertaining story
This is a darker version of the retelling of a sleeping beauty… Good action in this story. No spoilers here check out this book and see how this story unfolds.
Dark twisted but oh so yummy …. what more could u ask for ..????
This twisted remake of Sleeping Beauty was beautifully wicked I couldn’t put it down KL Donn has that effect on me for all her books though she seems to always have this twist that I don’t see coming and this book was no exception wickedly good ….
Another must read !
I love fairytales and KL Donn give a reason to love dark fairytales. I used to be standoffish about manage but gave the queen of menage and chance and fell in love with them. Do yourself a favor and pick up this book. I felt like I was picked up and dropped in the middle of the characters.
4.5 stars
This is the first book I have read by the author and it is darkly intense, which makes it perfect for the Sinister Fairy Tales Collection. This is a dark retelling of Sleeping Beauty that will have any reader hooked from beginning to end. Arianna is a princess who must stay safe but is living in a country that is full of sorrow. For years, her realm has suffered and people are disappearing. The king brings in Apollo and Ares, two ex-military men, to keep the princess safe. In the course of their duty, they fall for her. However, Arianna’s eighteenth birthday is approaching and she is put in danger due to a curse. Can Apollo and Ares protect Arianna? This is one storyline that weaves elements of magic, trust, and true love to overcome evil. This is not a child’s fairytale but if you enjoy Sleeping Beauty with a dark twist, then this is one to add to your tbr list. I volunteered to read an advanced copy of this book.
Imprisoned was another amazing and twisted fairytale retelling that I quite enjoyed. Admittedly, it took me a minute to figure out which fairytale this one was based off of but by then I was so intrigued by Ares, Apollo, and Arianna I couldn’t put my kindle down. The unique twist the author put on their tale kept me hooked until the end and craving a bit more. I loved how Ares and Apollo balanced one another and how their connection with Arianna was an unexpected yet beautiful surprise. One thing’s for certain this steamy and a bit twisted fairytale isn’t the one I remember from childhood yet Imprisoned was a deliciously sinister treat to read.
Arianna will rule one day. She’ll have a king by her side as she does. But not until the prophesied darkness lifts from the kingdom she is hidden away from.
Asher “Apollo” and Matthew “Ares” are closer than brothers. They once led a team of men until that team was taken from them. They never thought that a princess might bring about lightness to their lives.
I’ve been really enjoying this Sinister Fairy Tales series. We’ve had twisted versions of just about every well known fairy tale you can think of, and Arianna’s Sleeping Beauty is a pretty twisty retelling. It’s sexy, a little dark, and it’s a cool version of the classic. There’s a note saying that there’s going to be a followup story to Imprisoned. I really liked the character it will feature, can’t wait to read her story after having loved this one.
I always know that I will love any book by KL but this book was even better than I expected! It is definitely one of my favorites now. I loved reading Arianna, Ares, and Apollo’s story unfold. I was captivated from the beginning and I couldn’t put it down. Now I am so excited for book 2!
Imprisoned is a curious and unusual spin on a children’s tale. It combines fairytale-like magic with modern day reality. You get an old world feel as well as a new age spin to the story. As a reader you can’t help but appreciate the ingenuity and originality of the story.
Ares and Apollo are modern day warriors who have been petitioned by the king to locate girls that have been going missing in their sleepy little hamlet of Graeline. Arianna, daughter to the king, is a veritable fairytale princess. She has been cursed and Ares and Apollo turn out to be the catalyst to the spell placed on her at a young age. Love’s first kiss sets Arianna’s condemnation in motion, and the two men must save the princess from the evil that has invaded this magical little hub.
3.5* Stars!
Imprisoned by KL Donn is the latest novel in the Sinister Fairytale Collection and this is the retelling of Sleeping Beauty. This story was dark, action-packed and suspenseful, with twists and turns you won’t see coming. It was complex and layered yet very well written and will keep you turning the page to see what happens next.
The characters were flawed yet it was interesting to see how connected they all were. This was a story about love, trust and the power to over come evil. With excellent world-building, likable characters and a heart-pounding plot this dark retelling was a great read and I would highly recommend it to all lovers of dark romance.
Another sinister fairy tale collection book and it was fantastic. Apollo and Ares were such a hot pair Arianna is a lucky girl. After a secret deal with a dark mage goes wrong on her 18th birthday the princes is taken and it’s up to Apollo and Ares to save the women they are both in love with. The princess isn’t as ordinary as you would think and without the men she will destroy herself. Never had the men thought about sharing a woman but the moment they see and meet her they are both genders. The villain in this book is part of an awful human trafficking ring so some parts were a little much but worth it. I loved the mythology twists it’s one of my favorite subjects.

Imprisoned by KL Donn is part of the Sinister Fairytales Collection and is by far the darkest story I’ve ever read by this author. When Princess Arianna of Graeline was born, she was cursed by a dark mage. This curse led to Princess Ari being locked away and protected inside the castle…until her 18th birthday. Teenagers have been disappearing for years from Graeline, but recently those disappearances have increased significantly. King Stefan calls upon Asher “Apollo” McCall and Matthew “Ares” Norbury to help find the missing teenagers. Apollo and Ares are immediately attracted to Ari and by the end of the night, the 3 have shared one smoking hot kiss Then Ari is taken and the dark and seriously twisted story begins. KL is known for her ménage romances and this one does not disappoint. I’m not exactly sure how in the world she comes up with these plots, but holy cow this is a doozy!!!There could be some triggers here so proceed with caution.
