Love this version of King Arthur’s first stage of life. While the story was really good, it seemed choppy and rushed in parts which dropped it to a 4 star in my opinion. Definitely interested to read more though to find out what happens next.
I am not usually into historical books but I love the way Leilani Love wrote this as it had me captivated from the start. A great telling of the beginning of King Arthur’s life which really sets the scene for his life. Great characters, world building and some great suspense and anticipation while you read. Bring on book 2!

I am loving the way this story is going. This is a different version of King Arthur and Merlin.
Morgana cursed the King and his Queen because she was not chosen as his bride. She then threatened their unborn son. Katrina was one of the Queen’s companions. When the baby was born the Queen entrusted Katrina to get him safely to Merlin.
Bryan and his wolves saved them when Morgana’s men came after her. This is a love story that ends with a slight cliff hanger.
I am waiting on pins and needles to find out what happens next!

This is a another great story that I’ve come to expect from Leilani Love. This story is a bit different from the dragon stories that I’m used to reading from Ms. Love, but no less interesting. It was a quick read and I found myself wishing that it was longer and that we knew more of the story of Bryan and Katrina. I do hope that we will get more soon.
