It was just a simple favor between friends. Until it wasn’t…
First, I don’t want to be Gabriel’s means of getting back at his snobbish ex-girlfriend.
Plus, a make-believe relationship with him is risky, and it will almost certainly lead me to heartbreak.
Still, I’m not able to turn Gabriel down in his moment of need.
(His pleading grey eyes make me absolutely powerless, darn it.)
So now I have to figure out how to guard my heart against the one man I want to give it to the most, all the while I pretend to be his.
But it can’t be that hard, can it?
Saving the Brother’s Best Friend is a clean and wholesome friends-to-lovers romance. If you love spunky heroines, sweet heroes, and bone-tingling kisses, then you’ll love this fourth book in the Gems of Love series. Each story is a standalone, with the perks of meeting recurring characters throughout the books.

I really enjoyed this story. I love that it shines a positive light on mental health and how it effects our daily lives. This sweet romance lifted my spirits and I look forward to the next book from Agnes Canestri!
This was an interesting, and frustrating, book. I wanted to shake the characters and tell them how obviously in love with one another they were, well only Gabe at first since Giada knew it from the start. But they both acted foolishly, we are all fools in love or so the saying goes, and that foolishness made me want to shake them. However, it was a good thing. A book that can connect you to its characters enough to make you wish you were in the book to slap the silly out of them is a good book. Gabe and Giada were so damn sweet, even during their infuriating moments. There were a few things I wish they had expanded on (I don’t want to give the story away so I will not say what) but the book was a good emotional happy ending read that I needed during this frustrating situation.
Agnes Canestri is a great storyteller and this book is another great story from her.
It was so nice to read Giada and Gabriel’s story from friends to more as it unfolded.
Buy the book to read the whole story, you won’t be disappointed as Agnes is a brilliant storyteller that will keep you flipping the pages.
Friends to lovers is one of my favorite romance tropes. It’s marvelously done in this book. Gabriel is such a cutie and Giada is a great match for him.
I’ve enjoyed all books in this series so far and this one is not an exception. But seriously, friends-to-lovers together with the brother’s best friend tropes and that set in the gorgeous Provence in France…what’s not to like? Also, the characters are real and so are their insecurities and mental hesitations that come through well in the inner dialogues.
Saving the Brother’s Best Friend is a sweet romance with a wonderful storyline and fabulous characters. It has the beautiful detailed descriptions and engaging writing style that I love of this author.
It’s like my own story. I’ve been in love with my husband from childhood and never dared to confess it to him, until we happened to be on a trip together. But apart from my personal attachment to the story, this friends-to-lovers book is a great read. Sweet and full of sizzles. The slow-burn kind which I like.
I like friends-to-lovers romances and this one was pretty great. Yes, it was also frustrating sometimes when the protagonists just wouldn’t face their own emotions – but that’s what made it real. In life we don’t always own up to our feelings (unfortunately) and as the book showed we really should. I liked this read a lot.
These two are pretty adorable. Giada is so spunky and Gabriel is the sweetest guy. Loved in the inner dialogue and their banter. Throw in an ex fiancee and a meddlesome family and you have the best angst ever!!! Loved the ending.
Giada has been in love with her twin brother’s best friend, Gabriel, for years. She’s trying to cleanse him from her system, but Giordano and Gabriel buy her a plane ticket to France, if she’ll pose as his fake girlfriend, lol. I really enjoyed this book and I feel that Agnes Canestri gets better with each book. I won’t leave any spoilers, but I will say this book will keep you flipping the pages to see what happens next. This book had one character that I absolutely could not stand, Aurelie. I loved the ending and I can’t wait to read the next book about Giordano.
