My Rating: 4.5 stars ********
I volunteered to read and review an advanced readers copy through Netgalley of Saving Sienna . I loved reading this story . Sienna is a private Detective and sometimes she gets herself in some sticky situations . Carson Irish is a Detective that pretty much does his job by the book . He has no it bad for rule breaker Sienna. She finds herself in danger and Carson steps in to protect and maybe break down Siennas walls to get their relationship off the ground . This story is well written and the characters are unique and interesting . The story is action packed and suspenseful . I highly
Recommend taking the time to read .
Book three in the MacArthur family series and I loved this one as much as I did the previous ones. When private investigator Sienna MacArthur finds herself needing help, detective Carson Irish is right there. While their attraction has been there for a while, now it becomes hotter than ever. With Sienna in danger, Carson not only protects her, he is determined to win her over.
A great story just the right length for an afternoon read.
4.5 stars
Another great addition to this series about the MacArthur family. It’s Sienna’s turn this time to find love as she and Carson Irish find themselves thrown together during an investigation of crimes that seem to revolve around Sienna.. Even though they’ve been together before and Sienna basically ran from what they had together, chemistry and attraction win out over any reasons why she felt they should not be together before.
Very enjoyable read.
Saving Sienna is book three in Katie Reus’ new MacArthur Family series. They are all novellas but are standalone titles, so don’t let the fact that it’s the last in the series put you off. You can start with this book or only read this book and have no issues following the plot or the characters’ relationships.
Sienna MacArther is a tough PI who doesn’t like to play by the rules. Carson Irish is a by-the-book detective. He’s been captivated by Sienna for a while and wants her in his life again…and on a more permanent basis. When someone comes after Sienna, Carson is the only person she’ll allow to help her figure out where the threat is coming from. While he’s trying hard to woo her into a relationship, she’s fighting his advances…for a while.
I enjoyed this second chance, opposites-attract romantic suspense novella. I’m a long-time Katie Reus fan, so I can honestly say I’ve yet to read any of her books and not enjoy them. If you’re looking for a short, intriguing, entertaining romantic suspense, any one (or all!) of the MacArthur Family books will be right up your alley. I’m a series junkie, so of course, I enjoyed them all in order and highly recommend you do the same.
NICUnurse’s Rating: I give Saving Sienna 5 out of 5 stars!
Saving Sienna by Katie Reus
3rd book in the MacArthur Family series. Romantic suspense. Can be read as a stand-alone.
Sienna is a Private Investigator. She prefers to help and work for the underdog and often takes photos of cheating spouses. When her home is broken into and a client connection ends up dead, she calls on Detective Carson Irish to help hide and figure out why she’s now a target. Carson promises to help and decides he also needs her back in his bed. Their wedding date hookup wasn’t enough for him.
Sexy, steamy and suspenseful, this book moves fast . It’s my favorite of the series because you can feel the heat between these two. More, he is respectful of her job and we know his feelings for her run deep. Irresistible.
I received a copy of this from NetGalley. I also purchased a copy to share.
Detective Carson Irish has been attracted to private investigator Sienna MacArthur since her brother’s wedding, but she doesn’t seem to share his feelings, or does she? When one of her investigations turns deadly and police need to be involved, she calls Carson. As they sift through her cases to find out who might be targeting her, she slowly begins to realize that he could be the one. His partner is helping with the investigation while Carson tries to keep both of them safe. On the run with the danger always one step behind them, someone with major resources is trying to kill them, but why? Sienna has shied away from commitment as she has no plans to give up her career, but Carson understands her love for her career and has no plans to change her, he likes her just as she is…sexy, spunky and all female. This might be a shorter read, but it has everything you want, romance, suspense, a fun story line and amazing characters – loved it! I received an advance review copy at no cost and without obligation for an honest review. (by paytonpuppy)
Fast paced story that has plenty of suspense and mystery. The characters have strength and determination as Carson works to keep Sienna alive. Their intense attraction to one another adds to this amazing read. Enjoying this series immensely.
I voluntarily read and reviewed this book; all opinions expressed are my own.
SAVING SIENNA is the third instalment in Katie Reus’ contemporary, adult MACARTHUR FAMILY romantic suspense series of novellas focusing on the MacArthur Family. This is PI Sienna MacArthur, and Detective Carson Irish’s story line. SAVING SIENNA can be read as a stand alone without any difficulty. Any important information from the previous story lines is revealed where necessary.
Told from dual third person perspectives (Sienna and Carson) SAVING SIENNA follows the building romance and relationship between private investigator Sienna MacArthur, and Detective Carson Irish. Four months earlier Sienna and Carson spent one glorious night together but Sienna ghosted Carson the next morning. Fast forward to present day wherein, while working on a case, Sienna is ‘saved’ by Carson. A break in at her home has Sienna calling in a favor from our story line hero, a favor that finds our couple on the run when a couple of Sienna’s clients are murdered, and our heroine is targeted by an unknown assailant. What ensues is the second chance, building romance and relationship between Sienna and Carson, and the potential fall-out as our couple struggle to stay one-step ahead of the person gunning for our story line heroine.
The relationship between Sienna and Carson is one of second chances, of a sorts. Four months earlier, Sienna’s brother, and Carson’s sister were married placing our couple together for one night of fun but Carson never forgot about our story line heroine, and found himself wondering what happened, and where everything went wrong. Sienna MacArthur knows her lifestyle can be dangerous, and isn’t willing to place anyone in the direct line of fire including Detective Carson Irish but Carson knows danger first hand, and isn’t willing to accept Sienna’s excuses any longer. The $ex scenes are intimate and passionate, without the use of over the top sexually graphic language and text.
We are reintroduced to Kathryn and Daniel (Falling for Irish #1), Brodie MacArthur (Unintended Target 2); Detective Julian Ruiz, as well as several clients for which our heroine works. The requisite evil has many faces.
SAVING SIENNA is a story of betrayal and vengeance, family and relationships, desperation and murder. The premise is intriguing and captivating; the romance is seductive ; the characters are animated and energetic. Another wonderful instalment in Katie Reus’s MACARTHUR FAMILY series of novellas.
Saving Sienna (MacArthur Family Book 3) by Katie Reus
Katie Reus has done it again, with bringing us another very satisfying, enjoyable novella. There is a solid story line, suspense, intrigue, crazy hot chemistry between PI Sienna and Detective Carson. When a investigation case goes sideways for Sienna, Carson jumps to protect her. They have had a complicated past that she has issues dealing with. Read to learn more, you will be glad you did! This is 5 stars.
Another great read in the MacArthur family series and this time we get the story of sister Sienna She is a PI who has no intention of ever marrying because she has no intention of ever giving up her career and she doesn’t think she will ever find aa man that will accept that. Carson Irish is a detective who first met Sienna at the wedding of his sister to her brother Her felt an instant attraction to Sienna but she ahs never shown any interest in him When a case Sienna is working of a man hiding assets in his divorce leads to her learning more than she should her life is in danger and it crosses into a case that Carson is working now they ,must work together to get to the bottom of everything going on Whoever is behind this though as plenty of assets and is willing to kill to keep his secrets Can they both survive and can they find away to be together Will Sienna accept that Carson doesn’t want to change her in anyway You will have to read to see Like all of Katie’s stories this is a fast paced read with plenty of twists and turns to keep you turning the pages as fast as you can till you turn that last page
Sienna is a Private Investigator. She works hard and is dedicated to her job. However , there is one problem – she’s been known to break a few rules. When she meets Detective Carson Irish at Daniel and Kathleen’s wedding sparks fly. However, Sienna doesn’t want to commit which made me sad. Carson is perfect for her. I loved how smitten he is. When Sienna find herself in danger, she goes to Carson for help. She knows that she can trust him. I’m glad that she did. He’s a protector. Can they stay one step ahead of a killer who is a pro? This story kept me on the edge of my seat. The action is nonstop as the body count keeps growing. I didn’t want Carson and Sienna to become victims. I want them to be happy and have a future together. Katie Reus wrote a wonderful, romantic story. I loved her characters.
I received a copy of this book which I voluntarily read and reviewed. My comments are my honest opinion.
I love this series of Katie Reus. It’s 3 quick to read, but oh so satisfying stories of family. This is little sister Sierra MacArthur’s story. She’s mischievous, strong, loves solving puzzles and helping others. She’s a PI, much to her protective older brother’s frustration. She seems to specialize in helping women who have been hurt and taken advantage of by men.
The story opens at the wedding of her oldest brother Daniel and Kathryn Irish’s wedding. We found their story in book #1. Kathryn’s brother is Detective Carson Irish who is one of the groomsmen. Sienna is a bridesmaid. They have chemistry in spades! Carson wants her in the worst way and they’ve been intimate a couple of times. Sienna fights her draw to him first because they are now family and a break up would be difficult to deal with. Secondly, because she has a dangerous job and men can’t handle that. She loves her job helping other women who aren’t as strong as she is. Carson get’s that, given few women can handle his job either. When Sienna’s life is in danger, Carson steps in to protect her and together they bring the danger to justice.
I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced readers copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
I’ve enjoyed the entire MacArthur Family trilogy, but Saving Sienna is my favorite. I really liked Carson and Sienna’s story.
I voluntarily read and reviewed an Advance Reader Copy from NetGalley.
This time around it’s the heroine who doesn’t want to get tangled up in a relationship!
Sienna McArthur, P.I. extraordinaire. She knows no fear, so much so she is getting a bit of a reputation as being reckless and rash. But when Carson met her at their sibling’s wedding, he fell fast and hard. Sienna has been dodging him since. She felt the tug towards the handsome and dedicated cop but she has a hard rule – no relationships!
When Carson realises that Sienna has seen more than she realises he makes her his mission. He’ll keep her safe and if he manages to wear down her no relationship rule whilst they’re in hiding? Well, that’ll be an added bonus!
Carson is super focused on Sienna. He’s a man who knows what he wants and he’s in it for the long haul. He’s tried the softly softly approach- now it’s full frontal assault LOL. Even though he is determined he still respects Sienna and understands how tough her job can be. He’s not worried about her doing her job, just being safe whilst she does it! Sienna is sassy, sexy, and super good at her job. I loved the way these two sparked off each other. Sienna is not going to be an easy sell on the whole relationship thing!
Would have loved to have known more about Sienna’s previous beaus and how they shaped her hatred of relationships and how they viewed her job. But otherwise it’s fast paced, full-on action/suspense with well-placed but intense steam!
Sienna saves herself would be more apt but she does need a little help LOL
This super quick, highly enjoyable standalone romantic suspense has PI Sienna MacArthur making enemies with the wrong people, leaving it up to Detective Carson Irish to do his utmost to protect her. Not that she can’t protect herself, but it seems that neither of them mind a bit of one on one personal protection. Bodies are piling up left, right and centre, and it’s only a matter of time before they’re found. They need to get a step ahead, and work out who’s after Sienna, and why. Fast paced, sexy and addictive. I loved both Carson and Sienna, they were a formidable team. For a novella this story sure packed a punch.
Explosive! Wow! I really enjoyed this story. Katie knows how to write a book that will keep you glued to the pages. The chemistry is off the charts with a little mystery thrown in. For a short story this one really had character development and fabulous dialog. I wanted the story to continue.
I received a complimentary copy from the publisher through NetGalley.
This is book three in The MacArthur Family Series and it is Sienna and Carson’s story. Sienna is a private investigator and she was always in the thick of things to help her clients but while helping one of them she puts herself and other’s in grave danger without realising and asks Carson for help even though she is trying to keep her distance from him because of how attracted she is to him but Sienna knows that he is the only one that she can trust to keep her safe. Carson is a detective and he is also in love with Sienna not that he has told her because she constantly keeps him at arm’s length but when she rings him for help he knows that no matter what happens he will always be there for her and protect her with his life and even though Carson knows that Sienna is always in the thick of trouble he will be there for her regardless. As things take a turn for the worse and people start getting killed Carson decides to take her away to keep her safe but will he be able to protect her so that when it is all over they may have a good chance of being together and have a happy ending. Sienna and Carson’s chemistry is so strong between them and it just gets stronger the longer that they are in each other company. The characters and storyline pulled you in right from the first page and it keeps you turning the pages to see what would happen next and it was so addictive and I couldn’t put this book down. I absolutely love this book and series and I can’t wait to read more books by Katie Reus in the future as she is an amazing author and writer and her books are definitely worth reading.
I Voluntarily Reviewed a Arc Copy of this Amazing Book.
3 stars – I liked it
Private Investigator Sienna MacArthur is known for getting the job done. When she becomes the target of an unknown threat she reaches out to the sexy Detective Carson Irish for help. She trusts him to keep her safe, but she is also terrified of letting him get closer.
This was an enjoyable couple. Sienna and Carson were both great characters. I liked how tough and determined Sienna was. She really was a great PI and went out of her way to help her clients. Carson was a protective man but he understood Sienna could take care of herself. He understood her dedication to the job and didn’t stand in the way of it. He was very supportive and just the right man for an independent woman like Sienna.
My only issue really was the reason why Sienna pushed Carson away to begin with. I thought it was a little shallow but everything worked out for them in the end. The suspense of this book was pretty good as well. I enjoyed the chase of finding the bad guy, even if a lot of it was done electronically. Overall, a great book for the MacArthur family’s last sibling.
*ARC provided by Netgalley for an honest review.*
Carson feel fast for Sienna, he also liked law and order. Was it to soon for Sienna, until trouble came, she now seeks him out. They are polar opposites, with her being a PI with a camera she goes for that edge to get the evidence she needs for her clients One pictures too many and that put her into danger. Good plot, good series to enjoy.
