Pretending she’s her twin gets complicated when Hope is shipwrecked with a handsome castaway. When rescue comes, will she risk her heart to confess the truth or will they part forever?
Pretending to be her sister, Hope Everly finds an adventure at last. The Caribbean’s warm waters and tropical islands fulfill nearly all her dreams. When an excursion to visit another island with a naturalist … dreams. When an excursion to visit another island with a naturalist expedition is interrupted by a storm, Hope is stranded on a desert island where she and her fellow castaways are dependent on a handsome stranger for their survival.
Alejandro Córdoba, trapped and alone on the island long enough to give up all dreams of rescue, knows nothing of what has become of his war-torn homeland or his family. When he finds the beautiful Miss Everly washed up on the shore, along with her companions, he does not know if their arrival is a blessing or a curse.
Hope’s behavior, acting one way with Alejandro and another with her friends, further confuses things when they begin to fall in love. If rescue ever comes, will telling Alejandro the truth mean losing him forever?

This is my favorite Sally Britton book. There’s something about the characters and the story that just spoke to me. The setting was unique and the storyline was realistic. I’m also partial to Spanish characters so there’s that!
A Regency romance with a difference. I loved the setting – a perfect book to read on a balmy summer’s evening. The hero’s backstory was really interesting, he was definitely one to fall in love with.
I was very excited to read this after reading Discovering Grace, and was not disappointed! Saving Miss Everly is a very unique regency romance and I really enjoyed it! Although it is very different than most novels in this genre it still felt like a regency romance. I love Britton’s characters and she writes some great characters in this book! I found myself liking Hope more and more as the story went on and Alejandro is the perfect hero for Hope. I am very excited for Isaac’s story; I loved his little cameo near the end of the novel. Highly recommend this book and this series!
I LOVED it. There are very few books that have 180-reversed my opinion about a character. I thought Discovering Grace was beautiful but really didn’t care for Hope going into Saving Miss Everly. Grace’s attempts to be more like her adventurous and outgoing twin were endearing. Seeing the love and affection and attempts to be like the other twin as mutual from Hope’s POV was equally so.
“Grace would not ask the question on the tip of Hope’s tongue. Grace would swallow the question and withdraw as she was bid, respecting the social customs with which they had been raised. But Hope was not Grace.”
There’s a scene between Hope and Alejandro that made me sit up straight and say, “oh!” I was so caught off guard and swept up in that tiny moment between them. And this is why there’s such a term as Latin Lover. Where can I get an Alejandro? (Holding up my hand as I reread that scene. Sigh…)
The series as a whole is fantastic and will be on my to re-read list. Isaac’s story cannot get here fast enough.
I liked Hope from the earlier books in this series, but she was always known as one who was rash and irresponsible, getting into a lot of scrapes. I loved that we got to know so much more about her in this story. She is oh so much more than that. Alejandro is a great hero for this book. He is a complex character, but he tries so hard to think smart and do what is right. I loved his character. Hope and Alejandro’s chemistry was amazing, as was their story. Another great addition to this series.
When Hope Everly washes up on the shore of the island Alejandro Cordoba has been stranded on for over a year, their lives will never be the same.
Sally Britton has done it again. Saving Miss Everly is yet another of her books I did not want to end. An interesting mix of characters brings this story to life in a way that makes it nearly impossible to put down.
I received a free review copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review.
Twin sisters switch places and one gets to go on a once in a lifetime adventure to the Caribbean! I like that it was an original idea and how the characters interacted with each other. I love the way this author describes everything enough for you to visualize it without going overboard to where you are just reading details descriptions the whole time. I would recommend this book (which can stand alone) and series (do not read out of order or it spoils the other books! ) I really enjoy reading books by Sally Britton and would highly recommend her books to anyone who enjoys clean Regency romance!
This third installment of the Inglewood series is like no other. I find it original for the time period. Sally Britton weaved an excellent romance with adventure.
The reader for this book was excellent. Very engaging. So if you’re an audio person, then you won’t be disappointed.
Overall I highly recommend this book to all romance readers.
Sweet romance. It was a different kind of world especially for women in the Regency period. There was a lot of prejudice between classes, rank and between men and women . Appearances were everything. Women were to to listen to the men and not question the decisions. If you were a woman of a different time, forward thinking as was Hope, and stuck on a deserted island, life could me difficult.
Love this book. Happily Ever After.
I have loved the Inglewood series but it took me a while to get into this book. While it doesn’t help that my KU expired before I could finish it, then it was available for free it still took me a while before picking it back up.
Hope, secretly switched places with her twin sister Grace, to go to the Caribbean with neighbors. Grace never wanted to leave home and Hope was more adventurous but when her father forbid her to go – it seemed like the only option. Now Hope is pretending to be Grace with the neighbors while a small day trip to another Caribbean island gets caught in a storm.
Alejandro has been stranded on the island for over a year. While it’s not idea, it’s comfortable. He has a routine and the island has enough resources to keep him going until a beautiful woman washes up on shore. Is she a siren or an angel? Does this mean he’s gone completely crazy and hallucinating?
Soon the rest of the party on the boat wash ashore too. Temper, stress and survival surge. Hope finds it harder to keep pretending to be Grace and live up to the name. She’s also curious about the resident of the island.
I really liked Alejandro and learning a little bit about other struggles in the world at the time. I appreciated Hope’s strength. I don’t think I’d be able to keep a level head if I were in the same situation. But I Hope I’d be better than Irene.
It’s vaguely similar to Gillian’s Island set in regency times. And I had to know if they’d ever get rescued.
This is a beautiful story of love found on an island. Every one washed up on the island has their own story. Hope’s is that she is pretending be her sister Grace. Our hero has been stranded for three years and has no hope of ever being rescued. For these two, it is an immediate connection. I found the ending to this story a little drawn out and awkward so that it could reach it’s happy conclusion.
What a lovely story! I very much enjoyed the characters and the plot of this story. It was different than the run of the mill stories with beautiful setting and engaging characters. I wonderfully enjoying read!
This was a great book. I love the characters and the plot. I couldn’t put it down. It is a must read!!!
Good story and no yukky sex.
I enjoyed every page. The setting, a deserted island, is definitely unique for Regency romances. A great read!
I expected a better book because of the excellent reviews. It was very good and an easy read but not what I expected considering the shining reviews. The characters were likable (some of them!) and it certainly was interesting to see how they survived a shipwreck although I think considering how these people were of the upper classes how easily they acclimated to the conditions. All in all, an enjoyable book but not what I would consider unforgettable.
very entertaining story that keeps you on the edge of your seat – not because of so much action, but because you truly care about the protagonists and wonder if . . . I don’t want to give it away.
Fun and different, grabbed me from the get-go.
Loved it. I read a lot of regency period and this was a good one.
